Man, I hope I never hafta do this to mine, with my big ass I'll definitely hafta go find me a Tristan🤣🤣🤣, he's definitely knowledgeable!! Awesome video Mills, will catch ya in part 2 my friend. Jay.
Thanks bud. Triston is a tremendous help. And fun to work with. Made this job enjoyable but yea, is was a big bite to chew. Appreciate the comments. I’ll keep um coming
Thank you for enjoyable music in Stereo, not the weird "new sound junk" some folks think is 'music'. I have use Headphones, and enjoyed the full range of the musical tones.
I agree. What some people think is music leaves a lot to be desired. Hard to find decent tunes to use without all the copyright bullshit. But I try to keep it the best I can without paying. Lol. Glad u enjoyed it. Appreciate ya.
Having the same problem w my 7.3…. My mechanic pulled the engine to do exhaust manifolds and changed both heads due to corrosion. Got them from Ford. Ran good for a week and now a bad knock and blowing coolant out the turbo and exhaust. He said a lifter is bad. 😢😢😢
@@Joe-rx9fp im no certified mechanic but I don’t see how a bad valve on a new set of ford heads would take out a head gasket. Maybe I’m missing something.
I don't know what he was using on the head to clean it, but if it was plastic of some sort it's okay. But if he was using an abrasive, he was trying to redeck the head by hand which is going to cause an inconsistent depth leading to early head gasket failure at the littlest imperfection.
We were just cleaning off the surface of the head with an old worn scotch brite pad. There wasn’t anything wrong with the head gasket, we just had to go after a bad lifter. She’s been back together and running good for some time now.
@@diybros7526 driver side is easier but the passenger side isn’t that bad. Use the rubber band trick to hold up the back bolts by the air box like the back bolts near the master cylinder on the other side. You could remove the side of the air box for clearance but ya have to be careful of damaging the coil
I would like to thank you for the most informative step by step video. Most of the other ones I've watched were junk, so thank you both.

So I can understand how a bad lifter can cause a knock but maybe I’m missing something as to how coolant is getting into the exhaust.
Seems to me coolant can only get into exhaust from cups or head gasket issue.
I stand corrected.. he said it was a bad value on the new head. Not the lifter. And he said the head gasket is blown from the bad value.

I will speak to him in more detail and let ya know. Thanks

I see you did the one side, how hard is it to do the other side?
