    do you have to drain any freon or anything like that in this procedure?

    • @TheMileHighMechanic
      @TheMileHighMechanic  Рік тому

      Yes and you will need to refill it after.

      Do you have a video on how to drain the lines, I have the machine, and the gauges, but have no idea how to use them

    Change your title. It's misleading. It's 06-11 not 05-12

    Did the new compressor come pre-filled with oil or did you have to add it to the compressor and do you need to replace the dryer in the line since you opened the system ?

      It came with some oil in it but I topped it off before installing it, and it is always a good idea to replace the dryer every time you mess with the ac system. I replaced the condenser and dryer in another video.

      @@TheMileHighMechanic how long did the total service take and what was the total material cost? It's blowing hot air and shop says it needs the new ac condenser compressor and some other stuff

      @@seattleprowash5464 I purchased a kit that had the compressor and condenser for around 250-300 I think and it took me a day to swap everything out.

      How does it work now. Does it make noises and did the gas mileage drop cause the aftermarket resistance

    What is the brand of the ac compressor?

      Everything I swapped out AC-wise was from UAC. I got a condenser and compressor kit from them off of parts geek.

    How long does this usually take on a 2011 Honda Civic typically??

      Of course it depends on experience, but it took me maybe 4 hours of actual work.

    You need to correct the title of video as this does not apply to 2005 civic. The 2005 is 7th gen. 2006 is 8th gen civic.

      I am, however, I do not have the tools to fill the system back up with freon.
