I wish Van Halen played that awesome part after the guitar solo. I guess they cut that out for time? So they could play Bright Lights Big City. I never really understood that song. And still don't to this day. Good recording VH.
Without that, the performance wouldn’t jive as much. There’s too many rock bands that churn out uninspired, note for note performances trying to regurgitate their records. It’s why rock has been dying for 30 years. I prefer Dave’s approach which is to go for the tone and spirit as opposed to the technical note for note. That’s fucking boring.

Bands like Rush, Led Zeppelin did that. I get what you're talking about man. Like the drums coming in at the same time as the guitar did. Van Halen stopped playing like that after 1981. And, every show after that became predictable. I forgot the Fuc#ing word's.
I'm pretty sure It was just an act. I saw them back in these days, the same sites in the different cities and said the same shit about "I forgot the fuckin words" in the same place. 😅
