The SUNLU abs-like resin is my new go-to. I finished my 3rd run today on my Phrozen Mini 8k. It may be just slightly less crispy than the "premium" resins, but in terms of toughness and flexibility, I don't think it can be beat. And for $18/liter (if you buy a 3 liter bottle), there isn't a close second.
my brother and I switched to this, good detail and flexibility. I seem to remember them saying they were gonna try to keep the cost low but that could have been another cheep resin I looked at(can't recall brand now nor did I order any) also glad to see you back!
I picked up some Sunlu ABS-like for my new resin printer because it was cheap, and now I'm selling all of my Elegoo resin and can't get enough of the Sunlu. Same level of detail, faster prints, more durable, zero downsides. I'm never going back.
I've been using Sunlu ABS-Like resin the details are very good and durability was great and the price did not break my wallet. It is easily one of my favorites.
I have a ridiculous amount of resin I bought in a sale months ago (about 30L), but once I'm through that I'll look forward to giving this a go. Looks great.
Yeah I tried Sunlu last year when the price of Elegoo ABS-like went through the roof for some reason. Same as you.. started with gray then bought white. It's cracking stuff and I'm dead happy using either now. I've heard that Jayo branded resin is the samestuff relabelled, but can't confirm that.
You get the filters in the box with the 1kg now aswell i got it today im having abit of bother it sticking toy build plate at 30s! Never ever had issue's with my resin doing this so its a new one on me just now! I was using elegoo abs like 2.0 i was getting it for 26.99 last week on sale now back up £38 i need cheaper as using alot more now got 3 printers and my new saturn 2 for big models it was costing alot! Plus don't like the 5 second experience for the new elegoo 2.0 stuff way to high what are your bottom exposure and normal layers for the sunlu abs for results 2.5?
I've been using this resin since I watched the video on release, got to say that's so much better then the Elegoo ABS-Like I was using previously. The runnier consistency definitely gives a little more detail, especially if it's warm enough.
The price and quality is great. I also like Rich-Opto ABS-like but it's slightly more expensive by a few dollars but a good alternative if one is not available.
He's the Buggane from Warp Miniatures, available on My Mini Factory, he was actually a request of mine from Alex to do the monsters from the Oathmark book.
It's my go-to resin (also the ABS-like version). I mix it with a little siraytech tenacious (12,5%) and I get good details with good resistance and flexibility
Recently bought some darker resin and it looks sooo crisp, but I suspect its just showing the details better. However I generally look at specific details and edges when I have identical models side by side and can pick up reasonably small differences.
ive found 2 hot is also a problem with the resin it oprates best around room temp 16 to 20dc over that the supports failas its 2 soft when hot as we have a space at work with heaters in. for the price i do realy like it it was a paied review i did but im sold on the stuff for personal printing its not as sharp as the high end stuff i use but for me for printing armys etc for the money its hard to beat
Its good stuff, only issue now is that they put it up by £9 per 1000ml. It was awesome when it was just £16 a litre. Previously, I had only ever used Elegoo brand resins, but now I prefer the Sunlu.
I love the ABS-Like, been using it for over a year now, prices have come back down recently after a bit of a spike, picked up a 2kg bottle of grey ABS-Like for under £40, there were some 2kg bottles of clrear blue and red for around £25 on Amazon too. Jayo resin seems to be just another brand name for the Sunlu, same bottles, same factory address on the bottles, same results, just a different name.
@@ScruffyCrow I have a Prey diorama from Wicked3D printed entirely in Sunlu and Jayo. It's hard to beat the price for the quality, and you can't beat easy to remove supports.
i bought about 6k grams of this resin in black.. i used about 2k of the 6 and went on a week vacation, came back and all my prints failed on both my printers.. i went through all trouble shooting for a couple hours thinking my printers are going bad somehow.. then i tried some other resin i had. and first print was flawless. the experation date on mine say 2024 but it all went bad in a month .. 4k resin gone to waste

Nice to see a new video, you’ve been missed. Welcome back.
Great to see a scruffy crow video after so long. Good to have you back!
Happy to see another vid! Welcome back : )

Glad to see you back!
I've picked up a 2 ltr bottle of grey for £25 and I must say, very impressed with the results. I would recommend this.
Yeah it works well

Yeah agreed , great resin for the price
Glad to see you back making videos.
Welcome back! The resin looks fantastic too 😊
Great to see you back again.
glad you're back
Welcome back! (I may have stocked up too much on cheap EM4 dwarves since your last videos!)
You're Back !!!!! Hooray, I missed your content mate, hope you are well.

that is correct, sunlu is the parent of jayo and it is the same stuff.
He's back !
I wonder if their water washable resin performs as well

Would you mind sharing the settings you used?
I’ve been using this resin for around 6 months now and can definitely recommend it

I've been using this resin for the last few months, and it's pretty killer. Had less than 2 failures, which is more user error than resin related
I tried it out in January just to see and I've been using it ever since, the abs like is great value and as good as any resin I have used.
Where did you get the file for the first figure? The one with the staff and birds, please and thank you

When comparison quality always prime first or there is no chance to see any difference at all.
Recently bought some darker resin and it looks sooo crisp, but I suspect its just showing the details better. However I generally look at specific details and edges when I have identical models side by side and can pick up reasonably small differences.
Wow, it's been a while but you're back. Been wondering where you were and why no uploads!

I love sunlu, it works really well and its fairly cheap
I liked it, I just felt it smelled more than anycubic resin
Jayo resin is also made by Sunlu at the same price point, but comes in aluminium bottles.
Funnily enough someone recommended the Jayo resin to me a couple of hours ago and I have a bottle ( the same shape as sunlu) arriving tomorrow.
@@ScruffyCrow I have a Prey diorama from Wicked3D printed entirely in Sunlu and Jayo. It's hard to beat the price for the quality, and you can't beat easy to remove supports.
well got 1ltr next day got a 2ltr this stuff is epic compaird to elegoo abs much stronger and dropped a few minis and there fine
Sunlu's version of tenacious costs almost half the price, so there is that as an alternative.
It is interesting what you've veen printing.
This is my first ever resin I bought it cuz I liked the bottle shape lol
i bought about 6k grams of this resin in black.. i used about 2k of the 6 and went on a week vacation, came back and all my prints failed on both my printers.. i went through all trouble shooting for a couple hours thinking my printers are going bad somehow.. then i tried some other resin i had. and first print was flawless. the experation date on mine say 2024 but it all went bad in a month .. 4k resin gone to waste
Ty honestly tired of everyone suggesting nothing but Siraya. How's the odor btw , if u don't mind commenting on that
Really none that I can tell of, IPA is far worse,
Yea love the resin
