- Jurassic Park is a rail shooter arcade game developed and released by Sega in 1994. It is based on the 1993 film of the same name. The game cabinet resembles the rear of the Ford Explorer tour vehicles used in the film. The player, equipped with a joystick, must shoot dinosaurs that appear on-screen throughout the game.

One of the best openings for an arcade game. Already starting off with a t rex boss fight.

The Chuck E. Cheese by my grandmom's house used to have this arcade game! But for some reason they removed it several years ago and I'll never forgive them for it.
That game was a masterpiece

The game manual says you're shooting a high-powered tranquilizer gun. No genocide. So shoot the dinos like Rambo and don't hold back

I got to area 2 once as a kid. Once. And I died within like the first minute in and that was the end of my day at Chuck E. Cheese’s lol (I would pretty much always use my last ~5 tokens on this game)
Me too! I didn’t want to spent all my tokens on one game, and I didn’t realize that’s what it would take to win.

The hydraulic seat really sold this arcade game and put it in S tier. Shame we dont really see that kind of innovation anymore. Also I played this way before I saw the movie and was grossly disappointed at the lack of velociraptor LAVA pits or anyone driving up a brachiosaurus neck in the movie.
I remember when I had first played this game at a local Chuck E. Cheese's in Miamisburg, Ohio not too far from Dayton and despite that I didn't get any tickets out of it, I still quite enjoyed playing it.
Good times, good times.
Watching this again as an adult is so effing funny because what did the little running dinosaurs do to get blasted like that 🤣

I use to love playing this at a casino called Prim Valley. I made soo many friends till I eventually had no one to play with since arcades were becoming empty due to the future. No matter how many times I went back to the same machine, 2nd player seat was always empty
I spent all my tokens on this game.... Its still amazing

Am I the only one who found this game pretty scary as a kid with those dinosaurs in your face like that? And the way you have to have split-second reaction time to get those dinosaurs off was pretty overwhelming at the time. I lost all my tokens in this game.
I have the arcade machine in my house I got it from a little old pizza place like two years again and I still play it to this day

@@johnnyjoestar6838 Well, i was really lucky in fact. I was at the mall with my friend, hanging around in the arcade section while playing games here and there. We wanted to try the jurassic park one with my buddy (we played it countless times, loosing everytime,but it was still one of our favorite games) but some old dude with his grand child were trying to make the machine work. Thing is, they were putting lots of tokens in the machine without actually knowing how to get it started. We remained silent while watching the whole scene and when the dude gave up, we jumped onto the machine with lots of credits at our disposal. It was a bitch move buy hey, i'm glad I was finally able to end up the game :D

I remember spending all my tokens to play this game at Chuckee Cheese's when I was a kid.
The farthest I've ever made it to, with one token, was the Dilphosaur pen. Every time I played that's where I died. I went to the Arcade at Circus Circus in 2019, and played this game.
That’s pretty cool that they still had this game there in 2019. I know by like ~2012 this game was pretty outdated by Chuck E. Cheese’s standards unfortunately

I remember playing this in 2016 at a chucke cheese, I actually got past the stampede stage, but then the dilophossuruses finished me off, for some reason this game scared me, I don’t really know why, maybe the outdated graphics? Idk

Kind of funny that this game had a volcanic eruption as a set piece, considering what happens in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

i saw some parts of this game that should be illegal. You are FORCED to take dammage. There's should be a law that force all arcade maker to make their game finishable witheout taking one single hit
