The Greatest Cream Cheese Pound Cake Ever!!!

RECIPE FOR CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE: 1-8 oz softened cream cheese,1-pound softened salted butter, 6 large eggs, 2 t. vanilla flavoring, 3 cups white sugar, 3 cups all purpose flour. DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven 350 degrees, grease and flour bundt cake pan, mix sugar, butter and cream cheese till creamy, add in eggs one at a time, mixing well about 20-30 seconds, add in vanilla flavor and mix well, add in flour one cup at a time mixing well,. Pour in to bundt pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, check cake after 1 hour and 15 minutes and add 5 minutes at a time as you check for doneness, use toothpick inserted in center of cake to check, (do not fill bundt pan to rim-fill pan to within about 1 1/4" from top) ENJOY!

Hello Everyone! I've been asked this question many many times and no worries, I totally ask the same question when I made this for the very first time! That is, "no salt and baking powder or baking soda in this recipe"? And NO! THERE IS NO SODA, SALT OR BAKING POWDER IN THIS RECIPE! Believe me I was also shocked but it works very well! This looks absolutely delicious because I'm happy that is made from scratch and not from a cake box. You know sometimes we got to go back to the old ways how our parents taught us how to cook. You know our Mama's were in the kitchen cooking for hours. But, when the food was done it was over-the-top delicious. Oh how I miss those days and how I miss my mama. God bless you my sister.

I tasted a cream cheese pound cake once when I was a teenager. I was at a department store and it was so delicious. I tried to make it at home when I got a little older just throwing everything in at the same time. Horrible. Never tried it again but I will try this one since I know what I did wrong. The Duncan Hines Butter cake mix has baking powder and baking soda in it. If you use this instead of plain flour, it will rise too much and will overflow your baking pan.
