Cut in a wall skimmer ( I did it on my Intex pool). Works 100 x better than that barrel skimmer. Can use regular vacuum then too. 👍🏻

You loose a lot of water doing that.

I can’t even tell that the level goes down. It’s the only way to flush out the sand unless you just want to replace the sand each time.
I’m also on well and I can run my well for 24 hours for less than dollars pumping cost
