I need you to make a series on the Feralisk Infected Jungle because there are literally no videos of anyone playing on them. Would love to see the sorts of tricks people employ to try and survive there.
@Amogh Mantha I get silly smooth FPS, even on larger maps and late game, but I have a PC that although bad is still good enough to blow the requirements out of the water.
@TomeOfBattle It's been two months but maybe it's still of use to you: The forsaken crags are a very light beige, usually found in a desert biome. Not quite as bright as extreme desert, but brighter than normal desert.
I installed this yesterday and started a new game (also installed 'Animals'). I didn't settle in one of these new biomes, but even so, it's has been a lot of fun trying to figure out all the new critters and what they actually might be useful for. Quite enjoying it!
I've had bases in both the occular forest and the feralisk infested jungles. In the Occular Forest your colonists basically have a semi-permanent -5 moodlet for strange weather. Every time fog rolls around (which was *very* often for me) they get that moodlet.
Gallatros Graveyard is a very good biome, since the darker soil is 120% fertility and there's next to no predators on the map, like ever. The only problem is that there's a lot of Gallatros and they end up eating EVERY plants on the map very quickly.
Heyo that last biome is going to be a bit trickier than what barky said, He said make sure you build around those glowing plants. The problem is a lot of them I noticed only lit the area at 50%. This isn't enough light for plants to glow. Barky moved his mouse too fast for me to get a good gimps but I noticed some placed 100% lit. But be careful guys. Check the light levels to be sure before growing.
got a question for everyone, dose the ocular forest spread? i started a few blocks away from one and im not sure but i think its spreading, is there any way to stop it? (ingame or dev mode)
both good and bad, mechanoid intrusion have less vegetation and animal, so it should be lighter than vanilla biome (save for sea ice I guess), while mycotic jungle is just plain fps killer with all the particles around (though I think the mod author did something about it, so I'm not really sure how it is now)
you might know this, but as you don't really specifically mention it, you can't put any growing zone in mechanoid biome, and from my experience "animals rarely come" is an understatement, they never come, only 4 rats in the beginning and that's it, you might be lucky and getting slurrypede instead though, which disgusting nutrient paste comes from it is the only food source from the biome
Hey man, can you do a video based on all 18+/dark mod for rimworld pls? I'm new and I really want a pack of mod where this is hard to survive and blow your mind!
"I don't know how to say that in English" Is your native language Afrikaans? If you grew up with that, you have great English. I know English is also an official language of South Africa, but still. Afrikaans is closer to Dutch than English.
The mod creator is amazing.
He created Alpha Animals, Genetic Rim and dinossauria too
That's the same person?? That explains a lot. :P
Depressive, Creepy Breathing Masochist.. This game knows you so well.

Flamethrower and stand right where it started and build on top the still smoking ash

Get a better PC
Actually gamingbygaslight is doing a series in the feralisk infested jungle called 'lone scrapper'
These biomes look trippy! Makes you feel like you are actually out on I distant rimworld
The forsaken map is actually inspired by the forsaken mod which adds a new species and it’s extremely cool
The Forsaken are absolutely awesome, they were like human precursors before their corruption if I remember properly, and their armor looks AMAZING.

Awesome video! Thank you for compressing them all into a video that’s easy to watch
Love your videos man, and I've been using alpha biomes and animals for a while now and they are some of my newer default mods,

Does this mod affect performance? I run Rimworld on a potato and is afraid of some overhaul mods

Ay Barky, what's more useful to you, joining you on youtube or a twitch prime sub?
