This was one awesome video thank you so much thinking about moving to goldfield after last August tax sales of a house for $5,600 going to move to great video thank you
In 1963 I was a truck driver working Project Roller Coaster at the Nevada Test Site about 30 miles east of Tonopah. On my route to Las Vegas and Mercury I used to stop and eat at the Northern Cafe next to the Goldfield Hotel. The hotel restaurant still had the tables set with silverware. One of the teamsters I worked with, George, used to own the Goldfield Motel and Gift Shop.
Pretty cool. The beets garage i know of. A 94yo man my wife takes care of here in Washington state use to live in the house next door as a child. That garage was his dads that he had built ofcourse with the last name beets. He has told me lots of stories growing up there.
Thank you for the tour. Saw more of the town I live in watching you do the walking! I moved here four years ago and never really ventured out. The car garden a few times and the other decorations of cars along the hwy. I am sure you know there is also another hotel across from the outdoor museum in the beginning. It has adorable cabin type rooms and a minitures town facade out front. Really nice folks own it. And Dinky is a great place to eat. 😉 Look forward to your next journey.
I just paused the video at 21:52, to tell you how much I appreciate you doing all you do to assemble this video to post and share it with all of us. The cars and trucks really bring back so many memories for me, especially the old Nash's, my Father brought that car home when I was but three years old, I grew to love that old car and I remember being mad at him when he sold it. What memories. I've subbed, left a thumbs up and a tap on the bell, I hope to see more of your videos of Nevada. I hope you have a great day! BTW, I really enjoy the music you have chosen for the background of this video.
Thank You. Definitely a lot of time into the video. I loved this place and am planning a trip back to explore some more. Love hearing your history on this place. That is so neat. I have 2 more Nevada videos I am working. Than will be doing some Death Valley old mining areas. But I will definitely be back to shoot more videos in Nevada.
I just subscribed and have been watching some of your old videos, I’ve been to lots of the places in your videos, lived in Grants Pass, Or. for a few years, back in Iowa now.
Just to bring up another bit of trivia, The 'Jim Marsh' who bought the Saloon from the 'Maxgut Estate' is the same Jim Marsh who was an automobile dealer in Las Vegas, Nevada. To bring up more old memories, my motorcycle has been known to be parked in front of the "Santa Fe Saloon" at various times, lol.
@@The_Doberlanders_Adventures , When I was up around there I tried asking, couldn't get any solid info. I don't think the owners want to part with any of them. I wish I could give you a better answer but I can't.
@@waynenoel9728 I'd love to see that someday. I've not been out of Fresno in ages. I'm on a fixed income, so it's hard to travel. That's why I love UA-cam vlogs.
Virginia City Nevada is a cool place I like going there and dressing in my 1880's clothing also Tombstone is awesome my son who is 15 dressed up with me and we walked down the middle of the street wearing Deputy Marshall badges and wearing our replica colts on our sides felt like we wear back in time.
Been through Goldfield several times, like many towns in the west mining was its start and when the mines were played out so to was the town. Goldfield was one of the settings for the 1971 movie "Vanishing Point" with Cleavon Little playing the blind disc jockey "Super Soul". The radio station was in the Goldfield Hotel.
Very cool, I spent some time in the desert last summer on a road trip. I like the places where time seemed to stop. The movie Vanishing Point features a lot of scenery in these kind of places.
I do as well. We do a lot of ofc roading to many small little towns. If you look up my video on Warren Idaho that is a really cool place where time has stopped. Town is run off generators.
I watched an episode of "Ghost Adventures" with Zak Bagan, who is now a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, he got permission from the Hotel Owner to spend the night in the Hotel and attempt to communicate with the 'denizens' of the Hotel. Just thought I'd share that with the people who might have missed the show.
@@The_Doberlanders_Adventures , I have to agree with you, I'm a believer in life after death and ghosts, that sort of thing. I could go more in depth about the paranormal but that's getting off topic at this time. If you decide to do another episode I would be obliged to an interview. I have subbed, left a thumbs up, and a tap on the bell, I hope to see more of your videos. Thanks for all you have done to assemble these videos to share with all of us.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR VIDEO!! VERY WELL PRESENTED, SIR! THANK YOU FOR SHARING! 👍😁🥰
Thank You For Watching
So lucky 🍀 to have a place with all the great things and stories...
Open 24 hours a day... from sunrise to sunset... :/ Very interesting stuff. Thanx

That’s cool. I bet a lot of the places were in better shape back then. I have been reading up on some interesting information about this town.
Outstanding, not your usual take a couple shots and post that many tours are. Good job.
Thank you
Excellent tour! So cool to see the old cars and buildings! That ambulance was pretty cool
Ya I loved the Ambulance as well. Lots of cool cars just hanging out.

Thank You For watching. I have trip planned to Nelson this summer. Looking forward to it.
I've seen the bottle house in Ryolite Nevada, but I've never been to Goldfield! Interesting place!
I have a video I am currently working on of Rhyolite. Another great place.
@@The_Doberlanders_Adventures I agree, the bottle house, the old train depot and the bank building are really interesting there in Ryolite Nevada.
Sultana California has a Bottle house the town maybe has 60 people

Good content
Goldfield was one of 3 ghost towns I researched for my Master’s degree in archaeology in 1993.
Wow sounds interesting. Like im 15 and don't want to do a master in archeology but it sounds very interesting to learn about ghost towns
If those old buildings could talk what stories they could tell.
Ya I bet they have a lot of stories of how life was back than.
Great video! Quick question, was there a cemetery there near by? Is there a major grocery store as well?
Not sure if there was a cemetery. I didn’t see one. There was no major grocery store though.
@@The_Doberlanders_Adventures ...humm, how do folks up there get groceries.
I’ve been here, I love that place is so freaking rad💜💜💜 Have you gone to the Hot Springs after that?
It is an incredible place for sure. I didn’t know there was a hot springs out there. Where is it at ?
@@The_Doberlanders_Adventures it’s Alkali 💜

ummm, who else noticed the noose in the Shell garage???
I didn't notice that. Kinda creepy.
looks like its eat up with a bad case of the artsy fartsy...but i know something you dont know, it was only high graded .
Need a drone to peek into upstairs windows
Great Idea. I have a drone but didn’t think to use it for that.
Umm where are the people?
Open 24 hours a day from sunrise to sunset? What?
Ya I know right. I goofed that up.
Why wouldn't you go into the saloon and show us??
I did film it but I lost a bunch of stuff off my go pro somehow and that was part of the footage I list unfortunately.
VERY KEWL TOUR... BY THE WAY IF YOU WERE TO FEATURE OTHER CHANNELS YOU COULD GET MORE SUBSCRIBERS TRY IT....
