thanks for the video, rich. i was replacing the window regulator on my 99 SC1 and was having trouble figuring out how to release the glass from the sash... seeing this really helped.

Somebody just broke the rear quarter window in my 1998 to get into the car. It's the small quarter window in the rear door, not the main window. Saw your panel removal. Excellent! What are the next steps to replace that window?
Is this just for the front door, or will it work for the back door as well? I didn't know about this easy method of window removal and by implication, replacement for the rear door, I thought I had to take out the rear triangular window to get the new glass into place (?). Bob
Richpin. I have 06 vue with passenger front broken out. Ordered glass. It says its 05 but I think it's the same. Not knowing, I went from inside, not skin and installed. It only rolls up halfway and gets stuck. Off track or wrong window? Any input would be great. Thank you.

I have watched several of these how to videos on Saturn door skin removals or window removals that show removing all the screws to remove the outer door panel. All but 2 of mine broke the plastic tabs when I removed them. I did not see this problem on the how to videos. What did you do different?
i have same problem with mine its the weather deflector if im right tangled in the window crank assembly..... my problem started after locking myself out of the car ...i used a coat hanger and it ruined the weather deflector im sure.
I always wondered why, when tinting windows, why they didn't just remove the glass from the car and dye it, like SUVS come from the factory, instead of applying a film. Film peels, bubbles, fades, and changes color overtime, where as dyed glass does not. Now I understand why they use a film instead. Lol

@sldierboy I just check my local online library and they have a nice door glass replacement for the 2000 L.Do you have a library card.

@mhebay Wow that is quite the job you would have to degut the whole door or replace it then there is the issue of switches and wiring.

My front passenger side glass was shattered, the new glass doesn't have the white clips. instead it's adhesive, is there any differences in install?

Hey Richpin, I own a 2000 L series. Is this the same procedure to replace the driver side, or is it different? It's a 4 door, and all manual.

These vehicles are getting older now so i think the plastic is getting more brittle.

The glass mounting must be different on a generation 1 SC. My 94 SC2 doesn't have that tension bar like the one in the video.
@sldierboy I have not worked on the L so i can not give you much info on it's replacement.
