    Very well done. I have only really copied people's tunes in Forza Horizon. After watching this, I created a fantastic tune for an A Class Foucs RS. Drives on rails and then added in some oversteer. I am now even more hooked on the game. As you said, tuning yourself is so rewarding and fun.

      Off road tunes are really helped by normal front tunes with a softer rear. Also low tire psi, I’m sitting 20-22psi on tires. It’s all about keeping more tire material laying on the ground.
      I made a rally Miata with this outlook for off road and it’s working very very well

    • @ABranch999
      @ABranch999 5 років тому

      One important aspect of rally cars is to balance the under/oversteer into and out of corners typically under full acceleration. Balancing the camber angles, front and rear sway bars, and the diff balance to get the car to rotate properly through a turn and return to balance on exit is best done by tuning the car by feel as you go.

    Just made a tune for my Aventador Forza Edition and after a little playing around with camber and tire pressures on the road (and using a gear ratio that I'd tuned previously for it) I've got it really nicely dialed in having used your guide for the suspension settings etc. It's surprising how much difference small changes can make and I'm learning stuff all the time from just tweaking little amounts in tire pressure, differential and aerodynamics to make my Aventador FE stick to the road and not under-steer like it used to with the "default" settings!

      Hey man, how about instead of rally, do a off-road vehicle guide. Your guides helped me a lot tuning for a stable and agile car, and while an updated rally guide would be useful as well, the same rules don't really apply to off-road buggies and trucks as much. I mean in terms of building a car that takes a lot of abuse from jumps, while still being stable and absorbing the smaller debris.
      Thanks!!

    Please do deep dives like specifically types of racing: rally, drag, etc. and maybe getting deeper into things that need more time like gears (I know about that app but if you feel you can handle it.) But yeah if you could do rally tuning vid, drag tuning, high speed tracks, handling tracks, cross country offroad style tracks. A series would be AMAZING and I think this was a PERFECT starter course.

    Excellent video - loved your first one too - VERY glad to see you touched on OSD tools - I dabble in tunes for a very popular track The Goliath and use the East Coast highway to test out tuning running north south many times. Would it be possible to do a more indepth video that uses the OSD tools (maybe with highlights of what you are referencing - had to rewatch this one a couple times to see the camber numbers you were referencing for example, But addressing the nuances of tackling oversteer slippage and skittishness in handling (stock tune of a Countach case in point) would be an excellent example in such a mmore in depth video, Thank you again for doing these - you are a great help!

    Hello HokiHoshi!
    I just wanted to say thank you for putting this guide together.
    I have recently begun playing Forza Horizon 4 and I was struggling with quite a few of the tuning options, especially the differential, damping, springs and tyres settings. As a direct result of your straight-forward and easy-to-understand guide, I am no longer struggling with the tuning settings and I can adjust said tuning settings accordingly to suit the track that I am driving on.
    I think I speak for the majority of people who have watched this guide when I say thank you very much. I hope you plan on returning to UA-cam more permanently and creating more high-quality content such as this, it was a pleasure to watch and listen to.
    Thanks again!

    I think you forgot to mention that the downforce settings also impact over and understeer. too much understeer, and you will want less rear downforce. And too high downforce in the front when you have a low setting on the front anti roll bar can mess with your weight transfer. One thing to remember is that you change something to that part of the car, you will likely need to change something to another part of the car to compensate. I like to use less rear downforce ot compensate for the limited steering lock to make the car turn better, but now so low that i start drifting. just enough to lose enough rear grip to turn harder.

    • @Medienmechaniker
      @Medienmechaniker 6 років тому

      how will affect rear downforce understeering?

    • @DJayFreeDoo
      @DJayFreeDoo 6 років тому

      if the tires are allowed some slip thanks to reduced rear downforce it will oversteer slightly, but just enough to not actually lose grip and start sliding. the car will turn more.

      Just know that as you can stand against existence of the God somebody else can do the opposite. There is no reason for changing anyone's mind, because everyone is allowed to think and believe in what he wants.
      Above all, in most cases the person who says "Change my mind" most often do not want his mind changed at the first place. Moreover, the person who claims that "This is BLACK!" do not know anything about "The WHITE" and he also do not want to know anything outside that he already knows.
      Thats why you do not need to argue in the comments about changing your mind.
      In order your mind to change, you must change. Because you cannot change the mind that is not wiling to accept the change itself. The changing mind is the mind that is opened on all subjects.
