Yessss please to updated version of looks using Gemini one. It’s melts top selling palette and tons of people LOVe Gemini one. It’s been out of stock for the longest time and everyone kept asking melt to rerelease it but they never did. Until years later and here it is alongside its sister Gemini two.

I love your creativity when building looks! I'm also not a huge fan of Melt's shimmers, but I'm excited to use both Gemini palettes with my indie singles. I can't wait to pair Gemini 2 with Devinah's Midnight Sun, Galaxy Dust Shifters, or Moonscapes.

I love Melt with all my heart. Having said that, their shimmers are meh at best. They know this and still barely make a change to them. I just dont get it. I just took my old gemini for a spin and did not reach for the shimmers, instead used my clionadh.
I feel like melt is more a brand u use for their beautiful grungy mattes there matte formula Is chefs kiss
I had the OG Gemini a while back but hated the shimmers and sold it along with Muerte. I enjoy She's in Parties and I want to try this one. I wonder if the rereleased Gemini has a better formula

I actually like the grungy green/grungy romantic color story of these palettes, but it's sounding like all the things I hate about Melt's pricey-but-inconsistent formula are present here. I love your looks, though, especially the first one!
I think this is the good matte formula, the shimmers are decent, especially compared to the Millenial Pinx palette, those were awful
I was so excited when I finally got Gemini II but really bummed out that the greens look almost the same where you can’t tell the difference. They look like mud on me. I’m definitely going to try some of the looks you’ve created, they’re very gorgeous so I can at least force myself to use the greens, not just the rose colors.
If you got out Vida….you could have used that light green shimmer. I ordered both of my Gemini palettes from Sephora. I decided to still get them on sale and get the Sephora points. I love the grungy rose theme. Pink roses are my favorite flower. I had to get this one.

Mattes are what sell me on a palette, which is why I love my Melt's palettes so much, plus it's easy to pull other shimmers from my singles collection.

Another indie makeup YT'er said the first version of this palette went moldy and the company refunded her. She likes this new version and I trust her opinions but it still gives me pause about Melt. I started collecting indie eyeshadows and other powder products in a big way only in past 6 months or so and I should probably be more careful/slow to amass a large collection--I expect some small indie companies don't use the same strong preservatives as the cosmeceutical industry. Thank you for the trustworthy review and helpful demo.
Things can happen to any brand. While melt is independently owned, they’re not hand making these eyeshadows, they’re manufactured and sold in Sephora so they are not going to have that issue again Im sure. The eyeshadows to be careful with are hand made ones.
@@badtothebrow thank you so much for that info! I don't go to Sephora much these days so I wouldn't have known. Yup, I'm kinda worried about the handmade brands I'm collecting but of course I don't expect anything to last for all time and will just enjoy them while they're still good!
I'm pretty sure i got my original Gemini palette during the initial launches of it and mine never got moldy. I think it was just a small batch that it happened to.
@@moonebbie thank you so much for sharing that! I won't rule out Melt :) Before recently I had never heard of powder products going truly bad as in molding or rotting so it freaked me out to learn that was possible!
I have never ever had an eyeshadow go bad on me, even after keeping them way too long, years… But within one week of receiving the Gemini II and using it twice, the shade Shmood has gone mouldy!!! Super weird… I reached out to melt and they are sending a new palette. So great customer service but weird phenomenon 🤔

Maybe a couple of shades but the Odens eye palette is overall on the lighter side
I think Gemini 2 would make a good companion palette to use with a custom palette of multi/duo-chromes since it is mostly matte & has so many dark shades.

Melt said it’s the same formula as the original Gemini palette. I think the shimmers feel different, could be cos my palette is old though
How do you fix hard pan from tape? I usually use a paper towel to scrape the top layer off
Use the sticky side and press it on top of the pan

Lol Melt matte shadows really do feel like compost!
I am such a sucker for a pink-green palette I had to get this. It does not feel 'complete' on its own but it makes so much sense as a companion to the original. I looooove the tones of hazel-green and slightly peachy pale pink. It would have made sense to put in a lighter shimmer but at same time I would rather pull in a shimmer from somewhere else and have an extra matte.
