I bought both of them last week. You can get both for $80 right now because the code is still active. $40 per palette for Melt makes me very happy. Gemini II is kinda safe but as a pale olive person you CANNOT beat the undertones Melt chooses. I've never had a shadow from them that doesn't suit my undertone. It really was an impulse purchase but I love melt and I'm gonna be happy to have them. The only thing that makes me sad is USPS is having a shipping delay. My package was supposed to arrive today but it's still in California.
I still use my Melt Gemini consistently to this day, so I'm excited to get my Gemini 2 in the mail. In general I like Melt for how deep and grungy they make their colour stories. I use my face highlight for my inner corner most often, so I never mind a lack of one personally.

I totally agree with the shades. I’d love for them to have swapped out one of those rosey shades for a lighter shimmer. Honestly, they could just condense this pallet to the right half 🤷🏻♀️
I just got both of them yesterday and so far I love them. These are my first melt palettes. I’ve always held off bc of hearing bout them being hit and misses, not willing to spend that kind of money for it to be inconsistent but I’ve always wanted the Gemini palette.

I bought both the Melt Geminis and PT's MD II and I think that they would be good complimentary palettes because of Melt's being matte happy and grungy shimmers where PT's has more lighter shimmers. I think that putting the MDII duo on some of the greens, it should in theory do the flip!
It took me a few mins to realize what PT MD was lol then I was like oh Patrick ta 😂😂. I got my patrick ta palette the other day and it’s so beautiful 😍
Your eye looks always look so good! Melt almost got me with their bundle deal plus the 20% off but for some reason I don’t reach for their palettes as much. I already own Gemini 1 and honestly I almost thought of repurchasing since mine is getting old but I don’t wear greens enough to justify it. The rose one really caught my eye but I just bought the Patrick TA palette so I passed. If anything I use their Brunet palette the most and I think it’s because it’s so neutral, I think if they gave us more lighter toned shimmers I would’ve pulled the trigger. I’m a shimmer girl at heart so if I’m going with anything matte heavy I tend to lean toward my Nars, Natasha Denona and Viseart for those. Still enjoyed watching this, made me feel better about not purchasing, these looks are very grungy and while I appreciate them I prefer a champagne toned shimmer 🤷🏻♀️ lol
This will be my first Melt purchase. I purchased both Gemini 1 and 2. I think you looked great with the grunge look. I think using the Gemini 1 in combination with 2 will give you the brightness you were looking for next time. Overall I am excited to try!
I am just not Melt's customer base. I bought a mystery bag from them, and when I swatched the lipstick on my hand, I had an immediate allergic reaction. My skin turned bright red. So, while I do have a palette from them, I hesitate to use it due to that initial allergic reaction. I think I'll stick with other brands. This was a great video, though. Thank you! 💖

I've been a die hard Melt fan since the stacks arrived on the scene and this palette was a definite yes for me. I've not used it yet but eye palettes are my favorite splurges and I am glad melt did a rose toned themed one. I was getting set to grab a PML rose palette but this saved me from that 125.00 purchase.
This is the first palette I've tried from Melt! I wish it had more shimmers but I still love the color story! I just got it today so haven't played with it yet but I will soon.
I agree, more on the green side. After watching you put all the red/peach/rose down I think Gemelas would be the one I would take out. The 2 lighter and 2 darker shades have larger undertone differentiation. I like that it only has 2 shimmers. Matches the original. But I'm weird that way. When Angie's Oden's eye collab wasn't a 12 pan like the other Diversa pallets, it drove me crazy.
I missed out on Gemini 1 the first time round, so I'm really happy to be able to pick it up now. I think it's a solid palette and it's autumn perfect 😉 Unfortunately, the new Gemini 2 is a big NO for me. I'm not interested in pink shades and this palette was almost ⅔ pink! Then I saw the greens being swatched and, quite honestly, they didn't WOW me - except the lightest matte green, which pairs so well with the greens in Gemini 1, which I really do like. I swatched both yesterday at Sephora. I definitely prefer the OG, but overall, I’m not a fan of their color stories or formula, which surprised me. I can get some great grunge looks from my Adept x Heather Austin, super versatile palette.
The palette looks so pretty but it would have been nice to have some lighter shimmers. Ugh that packaging though. I love it when you used all the colors :)
I almost bought the new artist couture palette today and I had to stop myself lol. If the Sephora sale worked at JCPenny online I would definitely buy it there since I still have some of a gift card even though I don’t need it. Idk why the sale doesn’t apply to JCP online but it does to kohls online 😭
I really enjoy the original Gemini palette. I ordered it when it came back in stock. I considered purchasing the Gemini II. I only wear reds on occasion. The palette isn’t a good fit for me. It is a gorgeous palette. The eyeshadow palette is smashing.
I didn’t even know this palette was coming out, and this is the first review I’ve seen on it. I probably won’t get it since I have the original Gemini, and have the other colors in my collection. But in case I do, glad it’s a good formula, I decluttered Smoke Sessions because I just didn’t care for the crumbling formula. Great video!
I love the packaging for both palettes but Gemini 2 doesn’t make sense to me. I never would put pink and green together no correlation for me. But I was excited to see what you come up with. I trust your reviews and even if I don’t pick up something I love your feedback!

It's funny, minus the greens, Gemini 2 reminds me super strongly of Naked Cherry from UD. As soon as I saw you do all of the swatches, I knew I basically already had it. I think if people don't have something in that color story, it would be a great option, especially for deeper skin tones! A tiny part of me would love to have a new Gemini 1, but mine is still going, so I'm gonna save some money haha. Loved the looks you created though!
I agree that a brighter shade would have given it a different vibe and more my alley but of course that's because I prefer lighter shades for day to day and not grungey...I am drawn to the first 4 colors...I have love sick from the stacks and few other wine colors so trying to refrain myself 😩

On first glance, I absolutely loved this palette because pink and green is my favorite combo. But now I feel like the execution wasn't done all that great. Would have loved to see more shimmers and a lighter green 🙄

I agree too much pink I'm just not a fan of pink I honestly even though it may have looked a little Halloween like I think they should have done like burnt Orange shades with the green. Not like bright Orange at all. Like an all over transition tone and getting a little bit darker into burnt Orange I think it would look really pretty together. I really don't know which one I should try the Gemini or the Gemini 2

I do not go to melt for shimmers and bright shades. They are my dark brand, and I would very much like to keep it that way. I dont need that from the grunge queens.
I agree with this. That’s their aesthetic but they could make their grungy shimmers a bit more foiled, imo. Nothing blinding necessarily but just a tiny bit more vivid.
@@Dana-712FifthAve they tend to switch up their shimmer a bit. You can find their foiled formula in smoke sessions and Mary Jane, however most people complain about them being chunky, I have no issues.

Love the looks you created. I have never used such red toned colors on my eyes before. I like the palette but the timing on the release is off. Should have been released in the fall not spring. Grungy tones speak fall to me. Maybe pick it up then. Thank you for the video Morgan!
Meh..! 😐I prefer the 1st Gemini pallette, although when I use the shimmers (no matter if I use my finger or a brush) my cheeks always end up with a lot of fall out.🤷♀️ It's just the color story in the 2nd pallette does not get my attention...
I am a little disappointed with the mystery boxes because I was Almost the same products from the mystery boxes last month to the mystery boxes this month so many of the same products I did get the Gemini, The Gemini 2, The 420 and I can't even remember what the nothing I would use it's very neutral. I received the pinx in my last mystery Box and I heard that was the worst one they have put out and because I still have yet to try the formula I didn't want my opinion to be tainted and I really don't like pinks or reds so it didn't matter I think they would have been smarter to do like Aquarius scorpio and so on because they would have done it so classy that people would have wanted it like a queries obviously would be blue and what. I don't understand why they only have the Gemini and Gemini 2 is the owner a Gemini or something? I wonder how much your views will go up on this video because of the mystery boxes giving that out I just thought of that
On a side note. I LOVE the color story on the smoke sessions palette. But I’ve never used it because the brownish shimmer is THE WORST shadow ever. Aren’t shimmers easy to make? I love it as a companion to Gemini 1 but on its own it feels incomplete. I wish there was a light antique gold shimmer and a deep plum matte.

Love the looks you created. I have never used such red toned colors on my eyes before. I like the palette but the timing on the release is off. Should have been released in the fall not spring. Grungy tones speak fall to me. Maybe pick it up then. Thank you for the video Morgan!

Meh..! 😐I prefer the 1st Gemini pallette, although when I use the shimmers (no matter if I use my finger or a brush) my cheeks always end up with a lot of fall out.🤷♀️ It's just the color story in the 2nd pallette does not get my attention...
I am a little disappointed with the mystery boxes because I was Almost the same products from the mystery boxes last month to the mystery boxes this month so many of the same products I did get the Gemini, The Gemini 2, The 420 and I can't even remember what the nothing I would use it's very neutral. I received the pinx in my last mystery Box and I heard that was the worst one they have put out and because I still have yet to try the formula I didn't want my opinion to be tainted and I really don't like pinks or reds so it didn't matter I think they would have been smarter to do like Aquarius scorpio and so on because they would have done it so classy that people would have wanted it like a queries obviously would be blue and what. I don't understand why they only have the Gemini and Gemini 2 is the owner a Gemini or something? I wonder how much your views will go up on this video because of the mystery boxes giving that out I just thought of that

On a side note. I LOVE the color story on the smoke sessions palette. But I’ve never used it because the brownish shimmer is THE WORST shadow ever. Aren’t shimmers easy to make? It swatches like legit watery diarrhea. NOOO exaggeration it’s like a slimy, yet dry swatch with chunks and then no pigment. I don’t understandz
