I mean yeahh, Yamato’s AA guns has a lot of downsides and some are useless
when i was a kid in high school, we had a history class that had information about WW2 battles and Naval fights. There was a full page on the Yamato ship detailing the armor, guns, the stories and the legends behind it. I was so amazed at the japanese engineering of Yamato.Since then i fell in love with history and Naval ships.
sparcerX They pretty much tried to stuff as much Heavy Artillery onto a boat.
sparcerX as cool as yamato was, they probably would have been better off building more carriers/planes.
Slayer Jesse I'd agree to that to some extent but we also have to remember by the end they basically ran out of Pilots what good would Carriers and Planes be if they had no Pilots.

The Greek buttleship Averof, the pride of Greece in Balkan wars, WW1 and WW2. It's low speed was balanced with 6 turets (each turet has 2 guns), relatively good armour and low reload time. I looks like Kawachi and is as old as Texas. I wish it was in the game

If only Battleships captains stoped hanging out in the back while they watched their team die one by one in front of them and started putting that armor and repair ability to good use for their team....
***** I'll agree partially to this, however if I were to take my Colorado to the front or middle and nobody played their role correctly, like they do now (sarcasm)... everybody would just watch the battleships die first and then slowly slink into the battle. Taking non-stop HE shots from destroyers and cruisers not to mention the superior torpedo dmg... you can (hopefully) see why they hangout in the back. Not to mention the numerous torpedo squadrons hammering at them and the dive bombers which dive, disappear into the ocean only to break the surface like a while ascending from the depths... That's why I try and stay alive in the back...

I agree, the whole game would be much more enjoyable if players did their jobs properly and as a team (cruisers going in WITH the bbs to keep them covered from DDs and planes while the bbs kill the ennemy cruisers etc.). But it's a game of "I'll do it if you do it, ok...you go first, no you go first, no YOU go first..." so nobody does it in the end and we end up with 15 teams of 1 vs 15 teams of 1 and the team with the highest amount of skilled teams of 1 wins.

Living in the southern United States I have had the privilege to visit the U.S.S. Alabama. Getting to stand in the ready room beneath one of the main turrets beside the main armament 16" shells puts things in perspective.
You know what would be fantastic? Not having to do a human sacrifice every time I wanted to hit someone with a battleship salvo

With all 4 guns Montana can Mach the broadside of Yamato but most the time you can’t use all 4 because you need to angle the ship to absorb damage efficiently

Dredhawk10 Yeah you're right, but because there ain't any battleships up until tier 4, the first in the line is often referred to as a tier 1. Dunno why.

History: Actually the Yamato was sank by planes and torpedos
She still had fearsome aa guns and a excellent torpedo belt don't think it was easy for planes to sink a battleship it could come with heavy losses or even fail but in yamatos case it was just a overwhelming force of plains and without air cover she was doomed
It still took quite a beating, sources say it was hit by different numbers of torpedoes, 7 up to 20 aerial torpedoes and estimated to have been hit by 12 dive bombers and it was starting to capsize then fires reached the aft magazines and it exploded and broken in half. Course the ship was actually not well protected, being escorted by a cruiser and 8 destroyers, the Japanese Navy sent her to fight to the death at Okinawa in what was called Operation Ten-Go however the ship was spotted by US fighters and she was basically on her own being attacked by 100+ planes and there is no ship in the world that can fight off something like that alone, that's basically like a human trying to fight off a swarm of angry hornets.

Fix HE shells to where they don't start 4 fires with one salvo, and make aircraft carriers NOT unplayable. And maybe I'll like this game again

TheMrWhitmore lets put that to the test. Lets say your making a turn based game. Someone who like real time strats says your game is too slow. Congrats, you just confirmed you are on the right track since you aren't trying to do what a real time strat does in a turn based system. get it?
If you ignore all criticism, which is what gaijin and wargming are currently doing, then you only get a game as good as the developers, which currently both are shit.
Fix APCR shell to where they dont have the same damage like AP, and make Artillery unplayable. And maybe ill like World of Tanks

"... Her AA armament is superior..." yeah, after u spend 50,000 XP on it. Until that point is has worse AA than the Cleveland class cruiser.
"...and she has improved armor." Yeaaahh NO. Izumo has 152mm of armor max ATM ingame. Amagi which has less armor than Nagato (tier 7, mind you) has over 300mm. This tier 9 battleship has the same armor as a tier 6 cruiser.
No matter what you say, WG, Izumo is by far the worst ship in the game.
That "152 mm" of armour was incorrect; it displayed an inaccurate number rather than the actual one. That is why they removed the armour thickness display.
However, I can't say I disagree with you for anything else.
That Old Milk Carton Actually, Amagi's belt armor is 253mm thick, just as much as Kongo. But I agree with you on the speed.

Montana in the end should have fired AP at Yamato. Maybe the Yamato could have died instead. I wrote this in June 6,2020. I don’t know cause the Yamato could still not have the vulnerable citadel she has now. I watched a Montana wipe out an 86k health Yamato with just one AP broadside salvo.

I can tell from fact that Iowa's and Montana's guns are more powerful despite only being 16 inches wile yamoto has 18 inch guns. Both Iowa and Montana also have better range than yamoto. So both ships need to be buff a little.

So many Americans complaining about his pronunciation of "Iowa". He's pronouncing it correctly, the difference from the first and other times was his emphasis on different letters.

ctsealteam6 Japanese call them 460mm gun and 410mm gun (18.1 in and 16.1in), while Naval Treaty designed them as equal guns same other nations. But the Japanese artillery guns quite inferior the american counterparts, yes japanese guns caliber are bit longer and long range but they perform very disappointing.

Cantankerous Rage Wows devs love adding paper ships in game, such as IJN Izumo (irl her name's for an old armored cruiser and modern helicopter carrier), her project name is A140-J2. Us battleship like Montana yes she is a paper ships, no keel ever laid down, 5 BBs were planned but they cancel it in order to built large fleet carriers. But it kinda impressed for Montana, i mean she more powerful than Yamato (if she were ever built), having 12x16 in guns fire "Mark 7.16in Supershell" that superior than Yamato 18.1in shell due less heavier, large warhead, faster speed travel and have better armor penetration power than Yamato 18.1in shells. Both ships have equal armor (410mm), Montana faster (28vs27 knts), powerful AAA and superior radar systems, while Yamato only have high range optics (max 15km, but US radar range perform better), over 140 AA guns but her best kill record is shotdown 12 planes irl. But overall in game both ship are equall in armor, firepower and different speed and AAA.

I can't believe that people think these are final tech trees. German and British ships will be added in a future, you'd have to be incredibly soft in head department to not understand that. Also, Britain dominating seas for centuries is what only Brits themselves like to say :D US and Japan had way more interesting fleets in the period that game takes place.
Well to be honest the brits stoped making anything as they got in to the war while US and Japan continue to make better bigger ships of course reason being the Germans were droping bombs on brit soil like they were making a parking lot
