  • Alaska's spring days are filled with seasonal chores and summer preparation. One day may be snowy and blustery, and the next a full day of sunshine. We tend to vehicle maintenance, a burn and address bones in our freezer. We couldn't think of a better way to spend the week.
We appreciate you tagging along for our Alaskan adventure 😀
Thank you for watching and supporting our channel! 💙

I have been watching for a few years now. Rarely do I comment on anything. I accept and enjoy the story, videography, and general vibe. What has endured and what I get the most from your videos is the overall journey you take together as a couple. Everything you do is as a team, life partners, husband, and wife, and best friends. This is a great continuing story I love watching every time you post. Bonus plus, handyman tips, homesteading/gardening, cooking skills and just getting sh*T done.

I have three favorite You Tube channels that post on Friday. The question to myself is which one do I watch first? My #1 is Eric and Arielle. So, why do I save them until last? Because I want to enjoy every second of video showing how they live their life in absolute pure, raw beautiful nature. They really are one of a kind. I always save/watch the best for last! I know others have said this but, they live the life others dream about. I have also come to understand that it is, without question, extremely difficult and challenging. Thank you both for all that you do to bring each video to us.

I don't know quite why but I got nostalgic and a bit emotional looking at the shots of the old homestead. Some really great times were had there. It is exciting to see all the new projects you have planned for these coming years. I couldn't help thinking of the line from "Ada" in the movie "Cold Mountain" about the aggressive rooster who sounds like "Spaz" "I despise a floggin' rooster," Ruby tells Ada, snapping the rooster's neck. "Let's put him in a pot." The burger at the end made me drool.

One thing to consider is to keep your bees in a lean-to type of set-up and throw some straw on the ground in extreme weather. Build up ice blocks as a kind of mini-fortress to block the wind. You may need to keep the bees a little close to home (chick-coop) area. I bet you anything, you'll be very successful with your beezees.

I enjoy watching all the places and modes of transportation to get to them that you use. I’m happy you love your new place, and especially an indoor toilet! I’m really happy for you two.

I just love your new home. Maybe you mentioned elsewhere but is the plan to move the bees here, and anything else from the old place you wish to keep and then sell the old place? Or will you keep it as a "second option" in case it is ever needed? It is really fun, informative, and very satisfying watching your videos. Your teamwork, self-reliance, and clear love and respect for each other is heartwarming and refreshing. Your respect for and practical approach to caring for your animals is also lovely to see.

Hi Arielle & Eric from the Southern Oregon Coast. Another epic video of your journey. I think the new place will suit your needs better. Anxious to see your upcoming Summer projects. One tip I would share is if you have to burn plastics in the burn barrel, please stand up wind. The smoke and off gasses from burning plastics is highly toxic and carsinogenic to your lungs. Be safe and stay healthy.❤

I’m really enjoying these new chapters of your life and look forward to one day when you reveal what you plan to do with the original cabin and the 2nd lot you bought but stopped developing. The toast with the egg in the center is called Egg in a basket 😊
My husband used to be a chef back in the early 90s and he made them at the restaurant he worked at. We've been making them at home ever since . They're yummy!! At the restaurant they put the egg inside a hole in a piece of french toast.
Btw we absolutely love watching you guys. We've been trying to find land in Alaska for quite a few years now. Hard to find property that you can get to without a plane or it's surrounded by other land owners so no real way to get to it without going through someone else's land. Would have to start over with our animals too. Probably wouldn't have as many as we do though if we could find land there. God bless you both.
