Wow I am just about to finish mine version, seems like I'm a bit late now XD
However, there are some tiny misinterpretation in the lyrics that I would like to point out
美味しいものとか 食べた時ずっとお腹いっぱいに ならなければいいのになと
Means more like "it would be nice if I never feel full "while"(食べた時) having a feast", not "after" the meal.
いただきます
This one s a bit more my opinions. Well, literally it means "I would take your offer (with appreciation)". It's not wrong to say that's a way for giving gratitides, however it will be quite strange to translate it straight because it can't substitute the real "thank-you" (e.g.ありがとう、感謝する) in conversations.
In this case I would simply translated it as "let us eat", I believe most anime and movies do that too.
(By the way I think the phrase ご馳走さま they used when finishing meal is more likely to be the "thank you" one, since it literally says "thank you for the meal")
納豆かき混ぜネバネバ
This parts should be "Stir(かき混ぜ) your nattou nice and gooey(ネバネバ)"
いくら素敵な風景も 一人っきりだと 寂しい気持ちになってしまうんだなと
And this one should be "No matter how pretty(いくら素敵な) the sceneries are, if I am all by myself there, how lonely would it be ."
That's all I've got. Neither english nor Japanese are my native language and my grammar suck though, so I may have made mistakes here and there too...

l only know a little japanese, but if you were curious, both verses start with “sometimes l think” and the next stanza “lately l think”(or have been thinking, but both lines end with “omondesu” to think/express an opinion)
l’m not really sure what the song is saying all the time, so l skip some lines. l think the song first says: sometimes l think. times l’ve eaten tasty(oshii) food(tabemono) always(zutto) has my belly full(onaka ippai), which would be nice(ii) if it didn’t happen. lately l think. there was a time(mukashi) not as much(yori) where l couldn’t eat “aburamono”. then something about cooked rice(gohan), natto, something half and half, itadakimasu.
the second verse is generally: sometimes l think. times l see nice “fuke” there’s always someone alone(hittori). lately l think. even with a nice “fuke” a person is lonely(sabishii).

oh and the story, tho there is a language barrier, i can still sorta get it! its a tale of self-improvement OR its a tale of just living life. The transitions and minor symbolism is crazy!
im gonna add on to this (my opinion):
there's a lot of games and casino-like things at case 1, and shows the guy failing at his job, i think it's about him wanting to just relax and live the good life
at case 2, he spent more time outside, not playing games, the hands being put together when the scene was chaotic and messy might've meant he was trying to calm himself down, that switchy thing at the end looked like a game being shut off to me, like he was gonna go outside more and play with his dog
Interesting take!! I took the 7/4 time sig and repetition of the days of the week as it being a story of just living. Week by week, 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7. The addition of trying to slowly improve is great and I think it Works for sure
