- Hey everyone, welcome back to our channel! Today, i have an exciting review for you. It's been a month since I started using the Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop, and I'm here to share my thoughts and user experience with you guys.
The Acer Nitro 5 is equipped with 12th Gen i5 processor with 12 cores processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 series graphics card. Combined with 16GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200mzh and a fast M.2 NVME SSD, the Nitro 5 delivers exceptional gaming performance. So far i've tested several demanding triple A titles, and the Nitro 5 handled them without a problem. The gameplay was smooth, and the graphics were crisp and vibrant. I also didn't experience any overheating issues during extended gaming sessions, thanks to the laptop's efficient cooling system." The laptop also handles multitasking well, making it suitable for both gaming and demanding apps like, premiere pro for example. Since i also use the Nitro 5 for video editing and content creation i can say it's just so much better than my old desktop PC which had a Ryzen 5 processor. Editing and exporting 4K is just a breeze for the Nitro 5 and overall it saves me tons of time and makes my life as a content creator just so much better.
In conclusion, the Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop has proven to be a solid performer. Its powerful hardware, sleek design, and excellent gaming capabilities make it a compelling choice for both casual and avid gamers. The laptop's build quality, connectivity options, and overall user experience are impressive. However, keep in mind that the battery life is on the shorter side, which is expected from a gaming laptop.

@@drown4486 been really good so far ngl, compared to my old ass HP this things a dream, literally the only downside is the vents….whyyyy does one side have vents and the other doesn’t, and why the hell are the other vents ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PC, like I’d have to prop my pc in the air if I wanted good flow lol even on my table it gets hot af and loud, still runs like a dream though
I had my eye on this laptop for about 2 months. I was under the assumption that it could be used for content creation as well & this video confirms it.
I bought it mostly for content creating, video editing, etc. Work great so far
There are some more variants. I purchased one with i5, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB storage and RTX3060 with 6 GB of video RAM for about 850 € two months ago in a pack including backpack and acer gaming mouse, I saw another including i7 and 3050TI with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of storage. Check them as well.

Just got the laptop, for me I don’t play higher end games so the battery life for me lasts upwards between 3-4 hours approx, however I also only have 8GB ram but I’ll upgrade that later, same storage though and it’s doing very well, I’ve gotten a hold of the settings and you just have to fool around with them to fit your style of usage. So far my only personal drawback is just the battery life, or maybe sometimes the fans do get loud but I’m used to that from my Nintendo and PlayStation days 😂. Overall IMO 8-9/10 definitely a good starting gaming laptop. Got mine on sale for 60% of the regular price!
Yep, definitely a good all-round machine. Apart from the hardware specs, the screen is decent too, colors are accurate, i really like the keyboard and the track pad too.

Hey pal, I was planning to get a Gaming Laptop ad this video really helped me! What are the disadvantages you have noticed in this. I already have a i7 10th gen, 8 gigs RAM, Intelgrated UHD graphics memory in my laptop. It can run GTA V with Med Specs in 35 - 45 FPS, But it gets over heated after half an hour of gaming.
I can't think of anything i don't like. The laptop performs so well so far. It boots up fast, all game run very well, it doesn't overheat. I can recommend it

I just got one. That thing was cheap on Black Friday. $679 for that machine. It'll do video editing and gaming. Of course it'll do productivity too. i5 processors are quad cores now with hyperthreading. They weren't quad cores 7 years ago and I had to get i7 chips for it, they're expensive.

@@SkvalaGaming The laptop is pretty good. I can play some games on it if I want, I can't do this on a $2500 14" MacBook Pro for crying out loud. Its good for content creation work though, I broke the screen on that recently, ouch, I can do that on this cheap gaming laptop too though. Most of my videos that I uploaded to my channel were actually edited on a gaming PC, during my trip I'm about to do, I'll film on my camera, edit it on the gaming PC.

@@rashaejackson5989 its pretty good. That thing does have thunderbolt 4 on it, you can hook up a razer core and a more powerful gpu on it and get even more graphics performance if you want that.

Hey bro, how is this laptop, if we compare it with asus tuf a15 and f15 and with dell g15? I want a laptop for mainly editing and light gaming and will be using it for next 5 YEARS, so any thoughts about longevity? Also hows the screen quality and build quality of this laptop?
I prefer the Nitro 5, it has better screen, better cooling and slightly better performance
Nitro has lcd problems while tuf has thermal issues

am I reading that right or is that over 100 degrees C on the cpu? You call that not overheating? My 12 year old cpu gets like 76 C at the most when gaming and even I worry about those temps

Yes, you can charge the Laptop via the USB-C port. The display is IPS
I noticed while plugged in though, the cpu would start getting hot to around 75-90 degrees. And as soon as it's unplugged the temps go back to 50-70. My computer is brand new so i wouldn't think would need a thermal paste replacement or any fan cleaning
That's normal, brother. When you are gaming with the power plugged in the CPU and GPU can work harder, this getting hotter
its normal and nitrosense isnt even accurate

Hi! i'm having a hard time choosing which laptop i should buy, i'm looking for a laptop for games and daily use ofc, i had an eye for Acer nitro 5 and an Asus tuf f15 for some time now as i heard MANY MANY opinions and still can't decide. I don't know much about all of these stuff, about the system settings etc as it's my ever first laptop EVER so let's say i'm a beginner and i still am trying to learn what's what if that makes sense, do you have any tips and what laptop would be the best for a beginner?
I also had that dilemma, and i ended up getting the Nitro 5. I've been using it for 1 year now and still works like brand new

So editing 4k Go pro video will be able to be done with this laptop with no problem?
It handles 4K footage without a problem. Exporting and rendering also is very fast. 10 minutes video takes 10-12min to render
I'm a med student and I do heavy gaming in my free time, I currently have Nitro 5 AN515-43, is it worth the upgrade? Will it handle both gaming and work? or should I just stick with my current nitro 5? (Ryz 7 3750h, GTX 1650, 16GB RAM)
You current laptop is not bad at all. I don't think you should upgrade it now.
Hi brother, I'm also in the same boat as you. I also am planning to get the Nitro 5 but with 3050. Does the 1650 graphics card allow us to play Microsoft Flight Sim, GTA5?
You can play those games on the 1650, but the 3050 is a lot better. It's 2 generations newer@@brownrocket

my laptop is the same nitro 5 just the extended version with 1tb ssd and just i7 12700k same graphics card but sometimes i get lag spikes in my pc while gaming with plug on like in fortnite what should i do? i also recently bought this laptop like 2 weeks ago overall its good like its very quiat when i am editing like the fans not running which i like but only if i could fix this lag problem
Could be caused by your internet connection. It's always better to game through wired connection

is it good/bad to keep your laptop charger pulled in all the time especially for this type?
If you are gaming, you should have the power plugged in for better performance. I also use the laptop plugged off from time to time and drain the battery to around 20%

It's alright, my laptop still runs fine, for now. I don't usually do heavy gaming on it, for more than 1- 1.5 hours
Is the laptop charging while you're playing? Does your laptop experience lag when the charger is not plugged in?
Well when you are playing on battery th laptop uses less power to save energy. For best performance you should play with the charger plugged in

Im considering on getting this with 32gb ddr4 ram with a 12-core i5-12500H and 2TB SSD. Graphics card would be a rtx 3050 which is nice.
Your specs are better than mine. You'll be pretty happy with the performance
instead of upgrading other things, upgrade gpu to rtx 4050 first if you want better gaming performance
gpu should always be first priority followed by cpu and then ram

I have had a nitro 5 AN515-57-5700 for a year and the charging port in the back of it might not be working much anymore. I can almost never charge my laptop and when I do it is still inconvenient and or inconsistent. I tried to take it to a repair shop and they said they couldn't fix it

Can a temperature of 90 to 100 degrees in games cause problems or degradation of the pc? I have the same with an I7 12h and an RTX 3070ti.
Usually high temperature causes degradation. But don't worry about it, we won't be using those laptop forever 😁
I've heard that 3070ti model, while it performs well, heats well too. People recommend laptop coolers, but if it's not an option for you, no worries. As long as it's maintained well, it probably will last a long long time
True. More powerful GPU's and CPU's require better cooling. With a laptop form factor there just not enough airflow to keep it cool. Of course we have thermal throttling to keep the hardware safe, and be honest my Nitro 5 hasn't thermal throttled yet@@DolapEuphe

And is it okay to mix it with another RAM brand?
There are 2 RAM slots. You can add another 8GB stick. Mine has 2 stick from different manufacturers. Worka without a problem

Yes, it will last 2-3 hours. But if you are not going to game on it, might as well get an ultrabook and have a better battery life

Can we talk about the multitude of nitro 5 gaming laptops shorting out on the mosfet causing the huge voltage from the power supply to fry their CPU’s causing irreparable damage, meaning replacing one or more mosfets and the fried cpu?
Is this issue more frequent than the Wi-Fi card failure on the Asus TUF Series?
@@SkvalaGaming haven’t looked into it tbh, but the issue above is rather easy to fix as a manufacturer standpoint, a simple failsafe..

I think not if the damage is extensive. A damaged mosfet is like wildfire. Causes damage to connected components.@@SkvalaGaming

Around 2-3 hours

Depends on the game, but around 1-2 hours. It's not recommended, though. And yes, there is an Ethernet port

Some manufacturers sell 4TB SSD for the Nitro 5, so i guess it would work. Haven't tested it though.

nitro 5 3 hours on normal setting may vary up to 5 hours on quiet and low usage + undervolt

Depends. If you laptop doesn't have MUX Switch, connecting and external monitor will boost FPS. My laptop have a MUX switch and a monitor makes no difference in FPS
