Hi Chris, thanks for the video, very informative and direct to the point as always. FYI, the name of the colorway is called "Scratch" which happens to be his All-Star colorway (unofficially) then the black one is called the "Midnight" or the "12AM" colorway which happens to be a somewhat limited edition that was only released in the pop-up store in Utah during All-Star. :)

I want a pair of Ja 1s so bad. And I do appreciate the honesty of not paying resell price. However, I want the scratch color way so badly. I absolutely love that color way. I know I shouldn’t pay up to $400 for it bc it is absurd and will tear my bank account apart and that’s how much resell is for that specific shoe, but I want that specific color way so badly I can’t stand it.
Keep...it...real. "there is NO mentionable technology" in this shoe.

As much as I love my mb.02, I definitely need these for the basketball rotation. It's gonna be hard to choose these over the melos but these are hard to pass up. Such a clean silhouette!!

Can't agree with you here. These are two of my favorite players and two of the worst looking shoes.
The pigeon sound was super impressive lol 😂 great look at his new shoe. Hopefully he starts not doing all his social media stuff and gets to keep his deal.
I really like the design and hope that this is a blueprint of how the shoes will evolve over time. I was honestly surprised by the stick zoom bag used, especially since they regular forefoot zoom bag was used in the PG1, at the same price point i believe? When you said it looked like a SB shoe…it made me like it even more. 🤣 The descriptive tech spec breakdown and little trinkets are why I come to WearTesters. All that vapid bs is available everywhere else. 💯❤️🤓❤️

These are so cool! Interested to see what other color ways they drop. I prefer leather for sneakers but it’s good that there is an affordable option for a superstar player.

Got the black pair to hoop in for the first time since high school (I'm 23 now and have been watching your videos since I was like 12), and they're a pretty normal shoe outside of the traction, which is a dust magnet, but also surprisingly great even with a small later of dust. I kept up with my wiping like normal and it bit the floor amazingly. Excited to hear your thoughts in the coming weeks!

I call that gum stick zoom. Its about the same width and length as one anyway. Feel like they skimped us on this one for whatever reason, even the pg1s had a decent forefoot zoom unit. At that price i cant really complain too hard on em tho.

This was probably a design for the Kyrie low 6. Not only because it looks similar to kyries, it’s got the same price as the lows, similar tech and materials, and possibly even because of the resemblance of skate shoes and kai’s love for skateboarding growing up
Nah Nike gave Ja a lot of creative freedom. His favorite shoes were kyries and Kobe’s so he just took what he liked and put it on his shoe

Other than the Pg 1 and Kobe 1, I can’t recall a time when a Nike debut signature sneaker was good.
Jordan 1, Penny 1, Pippen 1, Air Garnett, Zoom Flight Glove, PG1, Zoom Flight 5 (J Kidd 1), Air Swoopes, Air Force Max CB (Barkley 1), Zoom Generation (LeBron 1)… all great shoes.
I’d hold onto these. They are gona be worth a lot because they won’t ever release to the public after he loses his deal

That cushion can make ja injured imo lol
missed opportunity; silhouette profile and storied colourway are nice but lack of quality material and subpar cushioning - I'd rather pay 150 for the whole 9 yards.
You'd think they'd give Ja some Formula 23 foam or something like they did with Luka's shoe. I guess he just wants a bouncy shoe with minimal cushioning that gets out of his way. I wonder how different his PE versions are because the FDZ review said the traction was bad on hardwood, but better outdoor.

If this shoe gets a Philippine release it's a guaranteed resell shoes, most basketball shoes here in the PH nowadays are getting flipped and it's quite annoying.

love the look of these but they seem more style than substance. hoping the Booker 1s are a more impressive first installment.
As an old Vancouver Grizzlies fan.. this goes into the "need this" category for me. Even if the performance isn't top notch.. I just love it. Hopefully this colorway wasn't ASW exclusive or super limited if it does release again.

I was so hype for these but after seeing this video I’m kinda bummed. I was hoping for at least a nice forefoot zoom unit or at the least a soft cushion midsole. Why wouldn’t they at least use cushlon 😢

@@Cashmoneez he never wore the 6 because he didn’t like it and hardly wore the 5 either. The PG line basically lost its way after number 3. No kid wanted the PG, it was a dead line. 1-3 were awesome. I’m hoping Ja’s line replicates that success.
