This is the first since a long long while that Chris weartested a sneaker with full review. I missed this! Awesome!
Grown up as a suns fan and it’s been incredible to see D Book blossom into a star. Well deserved for a signature shoe. At first, the leaks didn’t do the shoe justice but seeing them now and all the different colorways he’s been rocking on court, have really changed my view on them. It’s a call back yet it’s own thing. Can’t wait to grab a pair!!!

I mirror all these sentiments. Definitely getting at least 2 pair, one for on court and one for off. If they end up making it to Nike ID then all bets are off. I think they’re future classics myself
I love the look of this shoe casual looking that I can wear anywhere . I will wear these before any Air Force Ones. These go good with shorts, sweats and jeans
True, and unlike Air 1's which are ancient bricks, the cushioning on the Books will last all day. I might just have to cop a pair too.

First sneaker review I’ve ever watched and I already know other dudes aren’t doing it as authentically as you. Good shit, all of it. Im gona end up with a few of these Bookers for sure, mostly for off court but want to have one pair for on court and sounds like I won’t be disappointed.

Man I love it, it looks so casual like you can actually wear it with jeans. Its the first modern basketball shoe I’ve seen where it can also be used for fashion

The AE1s came out before this and they can also be rocked on the court or for fashion. They resemble yeezys imo.

Love seeing Chris back and I really am interested in these, but with everything else on the radar, I feel like these will end up taking a back seat to what I grab.
Back when I did read I was a big John Grisham fan. I also really enjoy the Vince Flynn series around Mitch Rapp. His ability to tell his spy/assassin stories from both points of view is pretty great.

Great review as always man and glad you're balling again. I honestly thought this colorway was terrible but after seeing better pictures and the video, they are actually super clean and understated. Excited to see what other options they release. I mean if they wanted a shoe for off-court wearability, do we see Nike By You in the future? 🤔
I just don't understand the lack of cushion or why they didn't add anything more, esp in the forefoot. But i'll reserve judgement until I at least try them on. I hope they do more dope colorways/something special for PHX and all the Suns fans. Oh and fantasy! Wheel of Time is one of my favorites.

I have played in the Mirage and now the Havens. Both are great. Im 5'9 180 LBS and have had a great time playing in these. 10.5 in Nike Jordan 3's and these fit great true to size for me.

I love that these shoes are the best of both worlds. They look like a sick shoe to just wear anywhere and the fact that they are great on the court is just icing on the cake. I like the direction they’re taking this shoe so far

Last Ronin is incredible! Favorite comic series is most definetly Fables by Bill Willingham. Another great read was Nice House on the Lake. Cycle 2 is supposedly coming out this year. As far as novels, I'm a big fan of crime novels. Just started reading Tokyo Vice and its great. Awesome review!

Love the channel, always been, personally THE reference when to buy a shoe, oh and I hope you got a look at the Li-ning Liren 4 v2 , those shoes looks amazing but I wish you could review them before buying a pair cause they are expensive for here in Canada!

For adults, we definitely have our on court and off court sneakers. For those kids under 18, if they can have a sneaker for gym and also wear outside to hang out with friends, this is it.

Maaaan!! Was working all day but my phone kept getting alerts, only to find out the GOAT himself came out of retirement and busted out a performance review!!! Been curious about the Book1s…so I’m glad to see this. As for books….I don’t really read unless you count auditions scripts, but the last story I read was “The Last Ronin” and “The Art and Business of Acting for Video Games”….. a friend wrote that book. I do audiobooks and the last ones I listened too were “I’m still a 10 year old boy” by Nancy Cartwright (the voice of Bart Simpson), “Bossy Pants” by Tina Fey, “Born a Crime” by Trevor Noah, “Dear Girls” by Ali Wong and “Becoming” by Michelle Obama ….though it was my second pass through for that book.

Surprised that a lot of people are not liking this silhouette. The neutral colors work well with it, and this is one of the few pairs you can actually wear on or off the court.
If they release a J1 LF style colorway, that would be amazing as well.

I'm getting these as a lifestyle shoe for sure.
I got these in Haven colourway (all black and amber swoosh lining) and went half size up. I played an outdoor session and I’m surprised how they hold up in laterals and cushioning. It’s a great basketball shoe in my opinion. The simple classic look tops almost all latest designs.
I really like the look of this shoe, and ive seen pretty dope colorways for this shoe.

I looking for something like GT Jump 2 lvl of cushioning for outdoors so i find the Li-ning BADFIVE III Off Court. Do you know anything about that shoes? o maybe another option?
