Just so you know Jordan brand does have other athletes on the lower tier than luka, zion, and tatum. They have people like Bradley Beal, Kemba Walker, Mike Conley, Bam Adebayo, Rui Hachimura, Tim Hardaway Jr, Obi Toppin, and others. Most of these players I named wore the 35s and 36s last season so I feel like any one of them could start wearing the 37s next season and become the representative of that shoe.
And not a single one of them will sell the shoe. Which is what Chris was asking. Who will wear the shoe and actually make people want to buy it? Tatum? Yes, people want what he’s wearing. Luka? Yes, people want what he’s wearing. Any of the names you listed? No.
@@WearTesters as far as selling shoes, with Hachimura being japan’s only star to look towards, most Japanese basketball fans will gravitate towards whatever he’s wearing. Jordan Brand themselves seems to have acknowledged his popularity by giving him his own colorway on the 8.
There’s also Guo Ailun who sells tons of shoes in China and a whole roster of female athletes who wear the 36/37 - Jordin Canada, Te’a Cooper, Crystal Dangerfield, Chelsea Dungee, Arella Guirantes, Dearica Hamby, Kia Nurse, Aerial Powers and Satou Sabally. The last of which has a signature 37 coming out.
I would buy a PE edition of the 37 if it was Rui or Beal. Hardaway Jr. shoe could be cool if the colorways were inspirations from his life. I think JB is realizing they needs new signature athlete to carry the torch, but it might be 10 years too late.

I hadn’t heard much about Luka’s shoe outside of what it looked like and I’m super surprised but really stocked that they are debuting a new foam cushion on this model. I was honestly expecting a zoom setup so this was refreshing, That torsion piece has me so intrigued…like I really want to know how well it works. Aesthetically my initial thoughts were that the shoe reminds me of the AJ XI low IE…and that’s a good thing since it’s my fav Jordan of all time! Can’t wait for the review!! 🤓🔥🙌🏽

I was most afraid that the new Luka 1 shoes would not be anything special, but now that I see them and know their characteristics and appearance, I am more than satisfied, because they are really exceptional.
First one to review them by far, nice to really finally see it up close.

I love the Luka 1’s aesthetics and tech, looking forward to more color ways. On a side note, I believe Bam Adebayo is one of the Jordan athletes who hasn’t gotten his own signature shoes.

Dual density midsole are the way of the future. Dame 8, Zion 2, All City 10 are some of the best cushion set up on the market. Carrier foams especially have felt amazing however the half soft foam half firm in forefoot with double encapsulated zoom really delivers the best of both worlds with a cushy back side & crazy explosive spring in the front. I expect to see more of these in the future.

It'd prob be Bam Adebayo, Tatum, and luka occasionaly wearing 37, but these look nice from a visual persective. Cant wait till more colorways come out as well as availablility.

Upper reminds me of the Jumpman Pro. Personally I do like the simplicity of these and they almost remind me of 90s style, as far as simpler color blocking. I dig em.. more than the 37's for sure.

Probably Bam, Obi, and Melo(Cuz no more new signature for him), LaMarcus, and Blake would wear Jordan's main line

These look really great for a debut signature shoe. Maybe its the upper, but these give me a new-age-LBJs vibe for guards/wings.
I was really worried Formula 23 was going to be like the initial implementation of react all over again. Glad to hear they didn’t repeat that mistake again. Definitely going to pick up a pair.

Love the look of these. I tried them on and they feel horrible, but I do have a wide foot and it's always difficult to find the right fit. My 10 year old loves Luka and was gonna buy him these for this basketball season. He wears a 9.5 and also shates my wide foot. He said they hurt his feet. So these definitely don't work if you have a wide foot.

It’s crazy i finally tried on a pair in stores i tried on a 8.5 & 8 the 8.5 i had about a good almost inch in toe space still had foot room space then i tried on the 8 oh my lord fits like a glove & still have toe wiggle room it feels good trying on something completely different & feels nice i needs asap i can see these actually doing good numbers in sales
Looks like the midsole has a similar setup with Li-Ning Yushuai 15 (and 15 lows) where the full length Boom foam is being contained by Cloud cushion.

Can’t remember if Beal is still with Jordan Brand … if so I guess he would be their flagship guy? But yeah definitely kind of strange that there’s not a few bigger name guys to push the air Jordan line like they’ve had for awhile before this
beal isnt a player in a major market or a generational player plus if you think about it nike has 7 athletes with signiture shoes and players such as tatum, booker, ja and ad waiting for their own line honestly nike might have the greatest line up of athletes ever right now
There are some great young WNBA players that can take up the Jordan line; for sure. There are also some really good young players in the NBA too; like Scottie Barnes, Mikal Bridges, Ant Man, Ja Morant, and especially Dejounte Murray (who's about to be a perennial All-Star player).
Waiting for that white and turquoise color to come out. If the traction is as good as it seems, this may be a shoe that you don't notice and is more an extension of the foot, which is my personal taste. I like more low profile shoes. While the KD line has been great performance wise, are a little too much for me. This seems like it could fit the bill
