He's done very well for himself. I've been a fan from the outset. My only regret is that I've never had the opportunity to meet him in person & tell him how much I've enjoyed his music over the last 5 or 6 decades!!

I'm about 5 to 10 miles south of Keith Richards' house as I am typing this. My brother (when he was still alive) spent the night together with him at his house (and with his family) on numerous occasions. His name was Charlie. He once brought our Mom over to Keith's house when he was hosting a birthday for a friend of his. She remembers walking around Keith Richards' house with a glass wine in her hand. True story.

As for my late older brother, Charlie: He first met Keith Richards on an island in the Caribbean. He was just sitting there playing his guitar when Keith Richards walked up and joined him. They discovered that they lived near each other, and they exchanged phone numbers. My brother Charlie never expected to hear from him again; but lo and behold, when he got home, Keith called him and invited him over with his guitar.
Tony, you can find some of my brother's music on youtube: He recorded some songs in the same studio, and with the same producer as The Go-Gos for their first album, and Deborah Harry for her first album. Bruce Springsteen liked these songs so much, he used to play them over his PA system before he went on stage (late 70s). Check out this one: The name of the band was The Dirty Angels; the album is 'Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye'; the song is 'Radio'. Take a listen.

LOL just hearing "on top of the pops" as in the show makes me feel young. They didnt dress that dirty, it was just as I remember my roomnates in college who mostly played folk at the time said, "they wore their own clothes" rather some restrained little almost-private school uniform like the Beatles initially did. Their music always paid direct tribute to both the African American and European American creators of the music. Famous when they went to Chicago and to Chess and wanted to cut a tune with Muddy Waters who had just been at the studio: to mop the floor for the Chess brothers. What would life be without the stones for our generation!

If Brian Jones was murdered, it wasn't by Keith or Mick like people keep thinking that it's kind of sickening I understand there may have been a gentleman working on Brian's home, a contractor who is a suspect nobody really seems to care enough to investigate I loved Brian, but what were they supposed to do when he couldn't tour anymore he couldn't go to the United States. By the grace of God Mick and Keith kept the ball rolling and took the band straight to the top

I am just few years younger, but if I did half the things he admits to having done, I would have been dead at 30 or 40.
