😅AAh! India is stockpiling too(gold), and also increase it's nuke in this year
Many central banks have increased gold holdings post 2008 crisis. From 90s uptil 2008, gold holdings were falling. But now its reversed
I think big countries know that something big is coming
Norway is stockpiling food grains.
Taiwan is strategically located as part of the first island chain. It restricts China from accessing the Pacific Ocean. It can also be used as an unsinkable aircraft carrier against China in future conflicts. So China simply can't afford to let it go.

Zuzana, Before Dokalam our defence policy was concentrated on Pakistan only but our late CDS general Rawat has changed the stance and it's china in focus.India is investing heavily on defence procurement from 2014 after Modiji comes in power and prepare for any misadventure from either Pakistan or China at the same time.And we had defeated Chinese in 1967 after a huge defeat in 1962 due to our foolish PM's decisions.

I guess, US has internally conveyed the message to china that before you invade taiwan let US transfer semiconductor dependency on TMSC factory away from Taiwan to other country. That is only important of Taiwan. US planning to shift the dependency on other many countries.
