@@SingleTrackMined What is the difference between a bikepacker and how you worded it: "a real bikepacker"? Does the question sound less weird now? Sorry, English is not my native language.
Well done Juliet and Katie. Great video, and great fun. This is what i was hoping to see when you rode together in Scotland. Obviously you both get on well together and it was great to see you both having a laugh and comparing your kit. More please x
Great video. Just come back form my first wild camp on Dartmoor. It was fab but there were 3 things more challenging then expected: Pitching, pooping and water. Pitching - when I reached the top of the tor where I planned to camp there was already someone there. Reckon it took me nearly an hour to find somewhere nearby suitable to pitch my tent. Pooping - well that's not straightforward is it. Had a mini trowel and everything. Water - thought I was over the top cos I was carrying 4 litres of water but I knew wasn't going to be near a water source. Ended up running out what with drinking on the way there, cooking and making hot drinks. But it really was fab - these just added to the...'adventure'. 😃
I sat on Combestone Tor for about 4 hours in April. We were waiting for Ten Tors teams who were late. The views are amazing from there. It was warmer then than it is now! I drove on the backlanes from Buckfastleigh, very picturesque but very hilly!
Another classic video, for someone who doesn’t like hills there was a surprising amount of goggling going on!😂 Your ultralight packing look so much bigger that Katie’s😱 Looked like so much fun😆👍 Thank you for sharing xxx
Soul sisters.. better yet, snuggly sisters! haha!! 😁😄 It is so substantial and pleasant to see you two wholly expressing yourself out there in the wild, being happy and free, it is so satisfying for us to see; in fact it is a privilege to witness. Though it begs the question, is it the south or the north to be preferred when it comes to bikepacking and cycling in general? I mean, Dartmoor is nice! It looks ever so lavish 😊 👋👋 =]
Type 2 fun is where it’s at. I regret most of my life as it’s happening but love it after! She says just having done her first hill climb event in flat shoes….
Really think you should be taking a tent of sorts, however small to get away from the midges. But also think you should have had a hot pie and mash at the Inn!
Fab. I love Dartmoor for a blat on the bike and an overnight camp. It’s really challenging to gauge the temperature tho! It can be around 10deg lower than where I live in Exeter. If you get stuck and need somewhere to kip, PM me and I’ll put you up.
It's great to see these two girls together on a bike ride. (Yes, to me, a 69 year old boy, you will always be girls.) Thanks to you two, and other young women, there are more women who dare to enjoy cycling (no matter what kind of bike).
I have a tech question please. Do you film in 30fps on gopro, iphone and canon. Or do you record higher, then crank it down to a 30fps setting for youtube when editing. Footage looking stunning. Thanks
They’re by Bivo. Great for getting away from plastics. They work slightly differently - you pull a kind of hole open when you pull the lid up so that the water flows. Then it pours freely
Haha _these two_ professional troublemakers! 🙃 I'd be more worried about getting eaten alive by those crazy wild horses rather than the "midges", whatever those are (same as our "mosquitos" maybe?).
I hope the two of you do many more adventures- the chemistry of you two is great !
yeah for sure, they both have really good channels respectively and these are really good.
A real adventure with real bikepackers. You two are great together. Funfunfun videos! Thanks!
My pleasure. So much fun making this video. Glad you enjoyed it
Genuine question: what is a real bikepacker? Are there rules?
@@bodaciouscans What a weird question.

Thank goodness you made Katie happy. She can get a bit grumpy lol. I'm sure you know that lol. Love you two together. Always a laugh.
Watching this on both channels and I realize why I love cycling… I love to eat and drink beer too! Go on wit yo bad selves!!!!!! Woot Woot!!!!
Mission accomplished Juliet.
Well done for being Katie's guide, showing her a great time in "Midge Central"
Great video. You two are bonkers!
Midge attack! That terrain is beautiful, and you got good weather! Looks like a fun time.

That video cracked me up! Literally laughed out loud. You guys make a great team, thank you for sharing!
A fun adventure. A big thank you.

Tailfin racks are the best. I love mine

aw thanks
Looks super fun. You have inspired my wife with this little adventure of yours.
That’s awesome. You gonna go bikepacking together?
@@JulietElliottsChannel She said, "I'm sold," so I'm hoping that's a yes!
Amazing, what a trip!
I hope you two do more travel vids together. You two are fun!
Awesome job ❤
awesome. i so miss Dartmoor :(
Beautiful views and fun!
That looked like the wild swimming spot in Hexworthy. If it is, it's a lovely swimming spot
That’s the one!
Fun video thanks!

I really like taking a tent but every now and then I decide a bivvi might be fun. And this is usually what happens - a midge attack!
Have this playing in the background whilst I'm working. Really want to not be stuck in the office behind a laptop and in the saddle.
Like I told Katie buy a softie elite 3 sleeping bag compresses well lightweight and goes down to mines 5 saved my life in the army

Thanks, will do!
You're all wearing Canadian brand cycling kit. Some kind of a Canada promo trip or is it just a coincidence? Merino is tops for cycling!
Just coincidence!
Good stuff 👍
what a great video
You are so kind, thank you
Fellow bivy bike packer. For midges use a bug net hat.
I have one! Should have taken it
Bivys are awesome.
I Goto be honest it would have have been too many pints followed by pie and a few more pints. I’ve ended up in the car park sleeping on the gravel. 🤣🤣

I love a good rock (bless)
What are your metal water bottles? Do they work as well as squeezy plastic bidons?
They’re by Bivo. Great for getting away from plastics. They work slightly differently - you pull a kind of hole open when you pull the lid up so that the water flows. Then it pours freely
are midges " gnats " , " black flies-mini horse flies" , or like mosqitoes?
The horses and the sheep are just unpredictable it seems.
ooh. What's the pub? My wife loves horses so could be a good one.
It’s the Warren House Inn
Has anyone got a link to those sleeping bags?
M o r n i n g !
Very nice Video!
Thank you for entertainment.
go by bike!
My pleasure. Thanks!
Juliete - you can always go so minimalistic that you freeze to death. Not a headline you want. Bill O'

😂 thank you
Yeah not much clothing
You ladies are inspiring! The beautiful bond you share is truly heartwarming 🫶 It's also wonderful to see you showcasing Canadian products 🇨🇦
Thank you so much!!
