Perfect taste in production, not overdone like so many sailing channels, please keep it that way :) One oberservation - looks like your drone footage needs a LUT or at minimum some color correction. Cheers and thanks!
Thanks again for the comment and support Bill, really appreciate it! Yes totally agree, the editing software I've been using is useless for colour grading, and the drone footage did come out quite flat. Hoping to remedy that for next vid with a new program, plus the dodgy sound! Cheers ⛵️
We were trolling a big abu garcia toby, hoping for an Atlantic Salmon or Sea Trout. Did get a nice coalfish of about 4lb on it, great scrap on light tackle. Now in the Caribbean, trolling much bigger and flashier lures 🐟
@@sailingmaalie ps, Scotland a bit cold and miserable at the moment, I am in Kinlochleven…and not really enough snow to ski. Caribbean sounds appealing. I was in Trinidad when I was 6&7. Also visited a few of the islands, very different then.
Good Nz morning guys. Usual story. Have just discovered your channel, like it and subscribed. Ok that's the small talk out of the way. At one time I would do wild swimming down here. But a lot of the time it was in mountain tarns. Not too deep, but small in area to have a thin layer of ice. Yeah in my teens, these things had to be done. Purely for experimental reasons. Testing the shrinkage theory.!! Now approaching my 77th summer, I'm backing away from that idea. However I still do it in the sea. I see I've got some binge watching to do too. Looking forward to further adventures with you guys. Btw I can't keep saying "you guys." Not sure of your names. 😂. Until next time, atb from down here. Take care.
Good night from the N hemisphere Bryan, thanks for jumping on board! Great to virtually meet folks like this from all over the world, you're our first Kiwi! Look forward to sharing more wild swimming spots with ya, we are Joe and Solene 🌏
Hey! Yes exactly, nice and simple - we just run the tack line through a block on the stem head. Sometimes it fouls on the bow nav lights, we haven't come up with a solution to this yet. Obviously a nice big bowsprit would be lovely..!
All things going to plan ill be on Caper too in a week sailing from Shetland to Norway. Last year was magical so can't wait.
Fantastic, what a boat she is! Have a brilliant crossing and adventuring in Norway- say hi to John & Tracy! ⛵️🌊
Great episode guys!!!
Thanks Alex!! Great to have you guys on board recently, good times! 😁
Well done, guys !

@@sailingmaalie BTW, my beer fridge is full. Just saying. Atb.
Be safe😊
We do our best! ⛵️🌊
Very brave swimming in melt water…I would need a defibrillator at hand!
…i did have a glorious and warm swim at the top of a sea Loch just south of Bergen
Remote wild swimming is one of our guilty pleasures - this was way too good to miss!
Out of interest where do you rig your Spi tack to? Specific piece of hardware or just somewhere on the anchor roller?
