We are in British Columbia, Canada on the west coast in a location near (4 hrs. what Vancouver called Desolation Sound because there were no areas to grow food but it is absolutely stunningly beautiful with fjords and fabulous anchorages. We sail a black Panda 40 "Warlord". We will be watching all of your videos as we have from your days sailing to Catalina and the Channel Islands. Rhonda is lovely and you both deserve to be happy !

At 21:30; thanks for showing us how you anchored the stern line to shore. The system is strong and simple, but if you want to get a better kit together I'd suggest: 1" or 2" tubular webbing at the tree (or whatever) for longevity/durability (might be tying off a boulder next), doubling the carabiners with gates opposed, and even using a "super bowline" knot that creates two loops at the point of contact. You'd have redundancy and toughness if you're tied up a longer time, or have rough seas. Never underestimate motion, friction or single-point dependency. Love your adventures.
Meh.... it's just New Zealand. Everywhere in the country is like that, but the weather can be awful sometimes. You never know what you're going to get as it's definately not in the tropics.
Be careful in mill arm lots of dead trees on the bottom that eat anchors but your welcome at my home in whareatea bay, eastern side, halfway point . super sheltered good holding and one of captain cooks favourite Anchorage’s.

I have a steel cable loop in case I need to tie to boulders for for longer periods of time
