I love the pop of color that the flowers add to your planters. In the winter, you could add faux flowers or greenery to your planters. My grandmother used to add faux poinsettias to her planters for Christmas and it was very pretty.

Over the winter, you could stick evergreen boughs in the planters and decorate them with fairy lights. Or, store the planter boxes out of sight in the shed for the winter.

Ashley, if u want fall/winter flowers,I plant pansies every fall.they make it thru the cold winter,even snow,frost and thru late spring.they just dont love the heat.For the spring / summer I plant dipledenas, they love the heat and direct sun.love your back yard. 🙂
I am sp in love with your patie, both under cover and then the outer one. Also your fire pit and grouping! I'm making videos to do mine. I've got my container garden in and all my hummingbird flowers are planted by the brackets. We put our feeders out about the last week of June, but I like to have the flowers well established.
I just “cleaned up my outdoor metal furniture that had rust on them. I normally use rust oleum spray paint too, but this year I bought a quart of rust oleum and used a brush. Total cost to paint 4 chairs 6 side tables and a rod iron settee was $11.99. And the best part I only used a quarter of the can.
I absolutely agree about how much dust and dirt accumulates on the outside brick ledges. I use the blower then the power washer. What a help. George appears to love stretching out in the sun. I really like the solar lights. I am thinking about getting some now.

Hi Ashley. The chairs looked brand new. Amazing what a can of paint can do. I love my Jaws cleaners. They smell so fresh and works like magic. I bought a certain other person's cleaner, whose name won't be mentioned, and that stuff stinks. Never again!! Everything turned out really pretty. I need to add a few flowers to my porches. Hi Julie! Yes, Chase actually has a lot of opinions about decor, furniture and placement. Sometimes I go with them and other times it’s not the best idea lol! But he does like helping with those things. Not many big plans for backyard at this point but I’m sure that will change

Your refresh looks great. I add some faux trailing greenery to my patio pots for filler. I also add real annuals but the faux helps fill it out and is great in the winter.

Amazing how amazing just spray painting something can make a big difference. That's a steal for that ladder! The satin finish looks nice. George really was living life just passed out in the yard. Changing out the chairs was a nice change ...looks great. Oh la la ..the flowers look pretty. The solar lights are really nice, too.

Love the look of your solar lights at night 💕 For your lanterns I’ve added battery operated twinkle lights that have a timer that way I didn’t have to worry about wax melting 😜you can even mix it in with your greenery 🤩

Your backyard looks beautiful. We planted Leyland Cypress 18 yrs ago, very similar to what you planted along your fence. We had to get them cut down $$$ 😩because in our yard the grass was dying from too much shade. I miss having the privacy they provided.
Maybe try a more water efficient landscaping other than all that grass. I’m in CO and we’re going through a drought. We have laid rock, plants and flowers that require little water. Just a suggestion since you have such a big yard…
Your back yard is beautiful. I live in Georgia and it is so hot and the ground is very hard you can’t dig or stick lights into the ground. Oklahoma must be nice. Very pretty.

Maybe try a more water efficient landscaping other than all that grass. I’m in CO and we’re going through a drought. We have laid rock, plants and flowers that require little water. Just a suggestion since you have such a big yard…

Your back yard is beautiful. I live in Georgia and it is so hot and the ground is very hard you can’t dig or stick lights into the ground. Oklahoma must be nice. Very pretty.
