Wow. This is remarkably useful. And it works in the same way for crochet. Thank you.

Thank you for the kind words, Lucie 🙏Of course, one can use a crochet hook to pick up stitches. I prefer to use needles, because to process of picking up stitches usually goes faster with the needles. Happy knitting, my friend!

Thanks for another clear and easily understandable video! I’m finishing my first cardigan and was getting nervous about picking up for front bands and neckline. Hoping this will work for a cardigan as well? Thanks again, welcome back and hope you had a nice break!❤

Thank you, Esme :-) Yes, this method works equally well on any edges - both curved and straight. Good luck with the cardigan!

I suppose that one can pick up stitches with a crochet hook and then place it on the knitting neadle...

Absolutely! If you are more comfortable using a crochet hook, that would be a great way to pick up stitches. Happy knitting!

How come you don't use a crochet needle to pick up the stitches? I always do - crochet needle over yarn before pulling throug, then there will be no need to twist stitches when starting to knit them

Yes, using a crochet hook is much easier.

Of course if speed is what you're after. I'd rather it was easy, and I'm not in a hurry. Thanks for replying.

@@jacquelinechneour5480 The funny thing is that when it's easier, it's also faster and definitely more fun ;-)
