After watching another American reactor that constantly explains away his mindblowing level of ignorance with "Americans aren't taught that" , I applaud both your level of education and your continued willingness to learn independently. 😊👏
We weren’t taught US history - I chose to learn it. I’m still very poor on sub Saharan Africa and a lot of Asian - and still learning about Europe. - Polish/Lithuanian ‘republic’ is relatively recent knowledge. The Russ - Viking river conquest of Russia is also non the last ten years, but - I didn’t learn that in school I’d as week as Beatles, Bebop and Beethoven were before I was born.
I did not do as well as you, I did get a few wrong I should have gotten right, but then again I am old and decrepid. I'm sure you managed at least 90%. Excellent score showing a wide knowledge of world history.Well done young man.
"Fun" fact: The guillotine has been by law the mandatory way of executing any death penalty in France since the Revolution. Death penalty was of course abolished in 1981, and that was even put into a constitutional amendment in 2007. But that law was never revoked, it is just void. Meaning that if ever death penalty would be legal again, it would still have to be by guillotine. "Fun" fact #2: The last guillotine execution in France was in 1977. The last public guillotine execution was in 1939, an event where the crowd overwhelmed the police, pushing lawmakers to making future executions private. "Fun" fact #3: The young Christopher Lee was present at that public execution. 50 years later he played the famous executioner Sanson in a movie about the French Revolution.
first of all, you did great! ...i'm a 50 years old art teacher in Romania and I did just a little bit better at the quiz, but that commes with age, no worries there :) I must say that when i first seen your videos, I was "Ok , another kid who wants to impress". But now I can see you have a flourishing mind (exuse my english, is not my first language) Your reactions are better and better and better! however i have a post scriptum. .... could you put a message in your clips that kids understand that youtube or tik tok are not the British Library or whatever .... just not to belive everything you see on youtube
Socrates was the teacher of Plato who was teacher of Aristotle who was teacher of Alexander th Great. Everything we know about Socrates is from the things Platon wrote, Socrates himself didn't wrote anything. In the Potsdam conference during a meating with Churchil, Truman and Stalin, Truman learned about the Little Boy Atomic Bomb. But i want to say that this channel has done wonders for you. Your knowledge for the World and World History are not these of the average American. You don't live in a bubble and that is always a good thing. I don't know if it sound like an insult but i mean it in a good way.
It's so much easier to guess the right answer of 3 choices than remembering the answer my self - am I the only one 🤔 Re Rwanda: I shall never forget the two men walking along a road, they stop, and one kneels down, the other takes some kind of huge knife and chops the kneeling man's head off. Some pictures get stuck, careful what you watch. Boring? Absolutely not 😊
That was fun, I enjoyed that and did very well, as did you. But I always take exception when they say WWI ended in 1918, it was 1919 when the Treaty of Versaille was signed. Many war memorial in the UK state the dates as 1914-1919
The Hundred Years War was a war between Scotland and England, just not exclusively. Scotland was France's ally, and a Scottish victory ended France's losing streak, giving France time to rebuild its army.
22:23 To be honest in Italy during the Second World War and for about sixty years before that the form of government was the monarchy: Mussolini was prime minister from 1922 until he was technically first disheartened and then fired and arrested by the king, just to say
Picked up the majority of this knowledge from reading comics and watching movies and television - Thank goodness I didn't waste more time on going to school
32:59,😂 you've not gone far enough in cinema classics. Before Mel Gibson vs Anthony Hopkins, and Marlon Brando vs Trevor Howard (had to look that name up😢), there were Clark Gable(confession: blanked out on this one!) vs Charles Laughton.
Some events related with UK or USA like the Great Fire of London, Civil Act 1964, James Cook, etc. were unknown to me, because are totally alien to my culture. However, the Aztec emperor when the Spanish arrived was Moctezuma II, not Montezuma. Captain Archibald Haddock wasn't related to Titanic, but Tintin comic books 😉 Most recent international political affairs in The Americas or Africa weren't learnt in a history book, as they occurred in my lifetime (I'm 54).
32:40 You mean Marlon Brando. But as you mentioned only two versions, there is an even older one with Charles Laughton (as W. Bligh) and Clark Gable (as F. Christian). However, it's not as good as the two you mentioned.
Indeed ... however general knowledge can and do help in elimination even if the subject of the question is not that important by itself. So the quiz can still measure general knowledge in a roundabout way. Specifically this question - I was able to eliminate the first option: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Haddock I mean that of course knowledge of Belgian comics falls in the important general knowledge category - while the name of the Titanic captain is pure trivia - right?
Well done for knowing the answers that an average 11 year old could get without resorting to the internet. In my day learning was based on reading and research not press a button and the answer pops up in milliseconds. Today's youth don't kneed to know anything except how to google. Sad times!
Marlon Brando and his English posh accent was not as bad as the critics made out. My favourite Mutiny on the Bounty was The Trevor Howard Marlon Brando version though the Charles Laughton Captain was the best slimeball Captain though a little self concious. Trevor Howard being more believable .
I don't think you fully understand what is going on with the EU in your video "Should the EU Become a Federation Like the US?". In my opinion European countries have no negotiating power whatsoever in the global scale. Even Italy compared to the US or China can have a detrimental effect on Italy. You either accept what was offered to you or face consequences. There's no bargaining power. The EU member states/countries know that, and we have to stick together for us not be outforced. And that is the real goal of the EU. We stick together or get trampled on the global stage. On the other hand, it's like a testing phase in human history. How can different countries form complicated and mutually beneficial relationships in, let's say, the future. How can the Word unite. And eventually we will have to do so in the future. I mean we are one species. And in the grand scheme of things we are going to have to unite in some way as we move to advanced technologies, moving out into space ect.
As a retired History teacher in Australia I congratulate you! I suspect few your age would do as well.

You did very well Connor I wasn't far behind you, which surprised me. These history videos you do paying off !
Very impressive knowledge, not just for an "American" but in general :)
I fairly enjoyed this! For me at least you can do this again!
Great video!

Archimedes of the "water displacement theory" shouted Eureka which means in Greek "I've found it".
Quizes always interest me, but I find the American love of multi-choice ones simply too easy. Does anyone agree with me?

Supermarine Spitfire
5:55 Pudding Lane was where the great fire started.
The Monument (a tall column tower) was built to commemorate the fire

Henry VIII wives: Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived (in that order)
Decided when clicking on this, if I got the first ten correct I wasn’t going further - I did.
Goof luck Conor
❤️👍🏽👍☘️
Enjoyed that!
Beat you by 3...but I have years on you.
That was fun, I enjoyed that and did very well, as did you. But I always take exception when they say WWI ended in 1918, it was 1919 when the Treaty of Versaille was signed. Many war memorial in the UK state the dates as 1914-1919
You did a lot better than me, I probably got about 50%. Some things I had never heard of.
The Hundred Years War was a war between Scotland and England, just not exclusively. Scotland was France's ally, and a Scottish victory ended France's losing streak, giving France time to rebuild its army.
'Who LED the Spartanx?' They were hymans, not lead soldiers.

98.5. Not too shabby.
yes but very basic, almost embarrassing
You were close on Jack the Ripper. It's not "White church" the part of London is called "White chapel"
You were also close its Whitechapel lol
Chaple is spelt Chapel
@@malfoster5951 I'm sorry, English is not my first language.
@@malfoster5951 But thanks! I corrected it.

Amelia Earhart and Joan d´Arc!! 🥰 Why!? Both was cool as fudging fudge! (And Yep, English is still optional!). 😁
7:02 Admundsen used dogs, the british crew used ponies..bizarrely
14 officially wrong, i would say 15 wrong as you changed your answer for question 86 after pausing for more time.
Easy ways to remember:
Eva Peron - the song 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina'
Henry VIII wives - divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, outlived

It wasn't some world history quiz. There were parts of the world that were not mentioned at all. Thought it was the same regions all along.
Nice 👍. but could have done without the pauses. my score 97/100, included bonus point for Supermarine Spitfire
You did great Connor, for a history major ;-)
32:40 You mean Marlon Brando. But as you mentioned only two versions, there is an even older one with Charles Laughton (as W. Bligh) and Clark Gable (as F. Christian).
However, it's not as good as the two you mentioned.
american taking history ahhhh moment
I only knew the answer to Wu Zetian being correct cause I play Civilization series games
Several of these are just trivia questions, not "must know". Is the name of the captain of the Titanic important?

Thought you got less than ten wrong. Brilliant. Now, I confess, I got a couple more wrong than you did. Oh well, take care of yourself.
Rhode island gangggg
Very impressed with your history knowledge only got a couple more right than you 🎉

You would give Al Murry a run for his money.

I've a very pleased face in the moment, cause I got 94 right...
Maybe 70 right
Haha beat you! (again) 😘
Saint Patrick wasn't even Irish 😂😂😂
I got 12 wrong.
Jack the ripper was Whitechapel not white church.
This is totally offtopic, but I feel if you were 50% more influencer/youtube type, you would say in the intro ''yeah I'll react to that shit''

1:55 first question and my assassin's creed knowledge is already being tested 😂
Brando!
