You know he did a good job when I came to this video for a question and not only did he answer but he answered another question I didn’t even know I had yet, lol if that makes sense, getting one for my 365 can’t wait!!
Easy process all around on my P365 installing your XL grip module. The only thing that kicked my butt a bit was the mag release. I installed an Armory Craft extended mag release & highly recommend it 👍
Your tip on the take down lever just saved my day. Thanks!
Outstanding video and extremely helpful info. I switched my edc from the P229 .40 cal to P320 .40cal compact carry. It was prior to the alledge "drop & fire" issue. My training in retention of edc firearm is intense, and not one time did my P320, fire the laser round when firearm was dropped (2×) hitting precisely where the alledged faulty fire takes place. All that said, I sent both my P320s 1 edc compact and standard P320 Medium, back to Sig Sauer for their free safety upgrade work to be completed. Sig Sauer's Customer Service was fantastic!
When I purchased my P320 .40 Compact and Medium, Sig didn't have, freely available, lowers or upgraded grip lowers. After watching this video, I am looking to purchase the P365 XL .
Keep on keeping on Brothers!
Godspeed.
why are you carrying 40 cal in 2022?

Another great video by Wilson Combat. Thanks! I would add another potential slide reassembly issue with the P365 is the SAFETY LEVER position (located just inside the rail from the Disconnector, see time 4:18). This lever can flop around a bit. If it is in the "UP" position, no amount of force (that doesn't damage the pistol) will allow the slide to move past it. Simply flip it to the DOWN position. All is good.
Thanks for the video. I was having issues with a SAS and your video got me past them. Wilson grip fills the hand now. Great product
Just got two flavors of the XL version. I prefer these to my custom stippled and cerakoted grip modules. Well done. Be advised the first batch sold out quickly but Optics Planet currently has black and will soon have FDE. XL tactical has magazine base pads specifically made for the Wilson Combat grip module for both 12 and 15 round magazines. These conform to the different shape of the base of these and even have the pattern unique to Wilson Combat grips. These all sell out and then get restocked so patience is recommended but they are worth it. The standard Sig 365X and 365XL grip modules seem undersized after getting used to these.
I love the Wilson grip module on my P365XL. After getting the mag release installed, the whole grip module swap from original to the Wilson took all of a minute and a half. My review of the Wilson 365 module is the second most viewed of my last 25 videos. Now I need ot get one for my regular P365.
Thanks again for posting your review!
Thank you Guy & Wilson Combat for this instructional video. You answered my questions and then some!
Glad to help!
Absolutely answered every question I had… great job! Ordering one tonight. Appreciate it!
Glad we could help!
Extremely helpful video! A few easy tips certainly makes disassembly and reassembly a breeze. Thanks!
You're welcome!
You can also purchase aftermarket grip extension for the standard 10 round magazine to be used in the XL frame. I did that and have zero issues on the floor plates. I purchased mine through Small Gun Parts. Hope this helps.
i own both regular and xl 365 grip modules. this makes my xl feel like a whole new gun, 10/10 would recommend
Great!
Got mine and had it installed in seconds, no issues whatsoever. Installing is easy and for those asking if they will work on sas, x or xL models the answer is yes, yes & yes.
About that retainer pin and clip on the 365. The pin has a notch on both ends and the module has only one spring clip located on one side. Push the pin out from the side with the clip and reinsert from the opposite side. That way you only engage the notch and spring once. It’s possible if you’re too aggressive with pushing out the pin, that the tiny spring clip can pop out and be lost. I did that once. Keep in mind that none of the reassembly issues are specifically related to Wilson Grip modules. It’s just the way the 365 reassembles, even with the stock grip.
Awesome video. I own both firearms and this helped a lot. Thank you.
If a grown man can’t install a new grip frame……I feel bad for your significant other 😎
Yet here you are... you clicked the video.
ALWAYS push the receiver retaining pin out from the right towards the left, as shown in the video! You only need to push the pin about 1/8" to the left before it moves past the retaining spring and the pin practically falls out. If you push the pin from the left towards the right, you must push the entire length of the retaining pin through the retaining spring, which is much more difficult. ALWAYS reinsert the pin from the left side pushing it towards the right.
It seriously doesn't matter.
@@alementary4065 It actually does mater. If you push from the left your pushing tool must also go through the retaining spring and you have a greater chance of bending or damaging the retaining spring. If you push from the right, your pushing tool does NOT even need to touch the retaining spring. Develop good work habits and strive to improve them.
@@PierceThirlen2 I'm able to push it from either side the just pull it out with my fingers once it passes the spring. So no, it really doesn't matter.
Interestingly enough, Wilson Combat also has a video saying to push the pin from the left to right???
@@williamstanley9722 I've seen a number of videos showing people doing it the hard way. But I've seen at least one video where the person shows you to push the pin out from the right to the left giving the same reason that I gave.
I absolutely love your Grip Modules the best on the market, all I am waiting for is the Macro to be released
Wilson Combat- no doubt about it, you guys have a big hit here. Just dont let Sig steal your specs and release a 'new and improved' Sig grip module, LOL.
Looking forward to a trouble-free install, thanks for these tips.
Gotta love Murphy's Law: my WC P365 grip module has a manufacturing defect which prevents the FCU from dropping into place: inside the module, up behind the trigger well is a square block of plastic. It is lacking the central channel found on the Sig part, and without that channel the FCU can't be installed - bummer!
The FCU went back into the original grip module very easily, so I can at least feel good about that.
I wish I would’ve known this about the guide rod positioning on the P3 20 Wilson combat version when I was trying to put it back together after cleaning the gun. It would’ve saved me a lot of headaches
If you have ever disassembled you gun for cleaning this should very easy for you. I absolutely love this grip module great fit for my large hands and look great too.
Great Video!! Thanks for all the clarifications!
Any time!
I also had to install the magazine release on my new Wilson Combat p365 module, using the magazine release spring from the factory module.
I installed on a SAS thankfully I had no difficulties with reassembly.
Wilson should install the mag release in their grip modules. It is a pain in the ass.
Nice. Thanks for the video!
I'm waiting on my Wilson Combat grip module in the mail.ill let you know when I'm satisfied
thanks great video guys keep them coming. very helpful
We will!
Thanks For Video Very Helpful
Most welcome
Patiently waiting for the WC X-macro grip so I can keep my 17 round mags
Would love to see some other color variants, perhaps a grey or OD green. Otherwise I look forward to getting the XL module.
Great information
Glad it was helpful!
Please, Wilson…
A tan version for P365 w/safety.
Those little guns look like miniatures in that big guys hands.
Hope to add more grips for P320’s with safety levers, IE M17 & M18, limited options……..Thanks
Thank you so much!!!
Did you guys watch my videos of me being a dumb ass and posted this for me?
No joke; first time I pulled my P365 apart I had a heck of a time getting it back together. Once I figured it out I felt pretty silly.
Easy peasy japanesy…Stock XL here & like it as it. But maybe will look at those sights you showed. Looked like it had a U notch.?. Like U notches .grip modules aren’t too expensive .Have been thinking about getting a standard & try my hand at a stipple job. OWB leather pancake holster year round. Thx.
The P365 I had in the shop today had a Wilson Combat grip module and the back of the trigger bar that has the end of the spring poke through touched the grip frame and disconnected the return spring from the trigger resulting in floppy trigger that would not release the striker. There were little dimples in the frame where the spring gouged the plastic. Tomorrow I will cut clearance or reduce overtravel…
The slide on my 365 came with bare metal showing through the finish. They said that they’d fix it but this little gun shoots so well that I don’t want to risk them just giving me a new slide. The order form at WC shows that it’s only $70 to get it DLC’d which would look great and fix the problem. May as well get a new WC grip module while it’s there.
Give our customer service a call at 1-800-955-4856 or email us at info@wilsoncombat.com
Need a demonstration on installing the magazine release.
I would love to see an OD green and wild grey option as well. That said, why aren’t you producing any FDE modules for the XLs with safeties? Will black always be the only option?
Would you please create a P320 module in a size for larger hands? Something similar to Sig’s large size module would be fantastic
I figured it out myself, but that interaction between the takedown lever and the slide lock is important (about 4:00 into video)
I do discreet security for an organization and chose the P365XL for my carry.
We have to qualify with various drills to include rapid mag changes.
Why do the magazines refuse to freely drop out of the WC mag well when the release is depressed... like all handguns do and should do so?
I have purchased multiple after market extended mag bottom plates and still no luck.
I have also tried making it free fall easier by adding an extended mag release button. No luck.
Love the gun... hate the mag drop/release.
Is the Wilson frame for the P365(x/XL) machined to tighter tolerances than the Sig, meaning that will it remove the FCU slop when dry firing and up and down movement? On mine, as seen on another YT video, you can see the play when pulling the slide away from the frame, and just before the trigger wall, you can feel the entire FCU move rearward. That slide play measured .045 up and bottoms on the frame moving down.
Please email us at info@wilsoncombat.com so someone can get with you.
I got mine when it first came out and installed it pretty easy. It cycles fine when it comes to shooting it but when i press check it the slide doesn’t come all the way forward and i have to push it with my thumb. Pretty annoying. Any advice?
This video is great for the issues listed, however one of the big issues I seem to hear about is the mags not dropping free. I just bought a new Wilson combat macro grip module and the mags will not drop free. Is there a fix for that? Any insight?
I have a wcp320 from you guys. Do you have a slide that is optic ready?
Also with the 320 of you don't lock the slide to the rear on assembly you can't seat a mag in the gun it will stop about a quarter inch out
If you take a 365 10 round base pad and install it on a 12 round mag it won’t work because of the 2 ears on the sides it hits the bottom of the magwell. The 365 has the magwell relieved to accommodate for it but the Wilson frame doesn’t
Glad I watched this as I have a 365 on the way & wanted to get a few 12 round mags for it.......guess that money will go to ammo
My Wilson frame has the relief cut out on it 🤷
What brand Slide Rail is on the 365, I want one, the Slide Cuts are Sweet.?
Can you please release a complete p365 with the same treatment as your P320 offering?
I haven’t had any problems taking them down or back together…. Cause I can’t afford these beautiful bang bangs right now!🥺waaaaa lol. But life is good peeps stay safe everybody
Will ten round p365x mags fit in the Wilson combat xl grip module
I have bought A 320, 365, 365xl with not a single problem at all.
need some help. just switched the modules. I had the takedown lever issue but got through it easily. Havent had a chance to shoot gun, just got it. With new grip I can use my thumb to release the slide without a mag in it. With the magazine in the slide release i need to use two hands. I didnt notice this when using the stock grip. Do I have something wrong or need of adjustment?
Dear Wilson Combat,
Will you please make a grip module for the 320 chambered in the 45 acp?
Guy will the Zev magazine release fit my Wilson Combat grip frame guy?
So where and when can I get one of those slides?
good stuff, imo m17 should come standard with this ;o
I paid an extra $100 to get the NRA edition I could got a regular 365 and grabbed one these grips! Lol all xl grips sold out
I hope y’all come out with a macro grip
Hey, I just started having issues with my p365x wilson combat grip, all of a sudden it gets jammed up returning to battery, it doesn't happen with the stock grip. What's keeping it from returning to battery?
Quick question: Will your grip module for the P 365MS fit the holsters for the factory grip module?
Yes, they will fit.
Thanks! good to know I don't need to buy a new holster to work with the Wilson Combat grip module. Very good video too.
Any dates for the X-MACRO?
You guys should do a grip coyote brown to match the p365 nra edition because the current one you guy’s make (tan color )doesn’t match the color of the p365 coyote brown
Where WC stands in regards of P320 issues, going off without the trigger? I stop carrying my beloved WC P320 because I don't feel safe anymore. Does WC trigger job improve the safety? Is the FCU safety improved with the WC trigger job? Thanks
I tried for 2 hours to install a new Wilson grip module on my 365 X Macro Comp and it was an effort in frustration. The magazine release would not go into the grip, it would just fall out. :(
Can someone please share a link to the diamond pattern slide shown in video?
Are you planning to make the grip modules in OD green and grey?
I really hope so!
Ditto. OD green and grey would be grsat as long as it doesn't reduce production on the black and FDE - they're constantly in and out of stock as is.
While you're at it offer a couple of custom cerakote finishes starting with black multicam.
What size punch do you use?
Just shot with the WC p365 grip module. I was shooting way off. I was right on target with my p320 WC grip module. But for some reason i wasnt even close with the p365. I was using irons on both. No malfunctions. Could i have installed something incorrectly. It was troubling how far i was off. I was hitting low and to the left. Probably 2 to 3 inches off at 7 yards. Im right handed and generally a good shooter with larger guns.
Installing a grip module will not change your gun's zero. Missing low and left indicates that it's likely an issue with your grip and perhaps with punching the trigger instead of a smooth pull to the rear. Try playing with your grip position and also using a slow, steady trigger pull while focusing on keeping your sights aligned. If you consistently get better results with the stock Sig grip module, it might just fit your hands and your grip better than the Wilson one.
was on the wilson combat site today, are you no longer offering the 365 modules? couldn't find them anywhere :(
We still have them shopwilsoncombat.com/WCP365-Modules/products/1471/
@wilsoncombat when is the P365 xl grip module back in stock? I’ve been checking the site and want to get my hand on these amazing grip. Thanks

@@gowilsoncombat thanks!
BEWARE, there are THREE positions that the takedown lever can be in!!! Fully clockwise is the normal takedown position for removing & re-installing the slide where the lever can sit between the 5:50 and 6:30 position. But there is a position IN-BETWEEN the normal 3:00 position and the takedown position, around the 4:30 position. If you try to reinstall the slide with the lever in the 4:30 position IT WILL LOCK UP THE SLIDE SOLID and be very difficult to remove!!! To demonstrate this position TO AVOID, first rotate the lever to the normal 3:00 position, then push up the slide catch and gently rotate the lever clockwise until you feel resistance and stop. This is the DANGER position!!! If you rotate the lever clockwise past the resistance it will lock into the normal takedown position. If instead you rotate the lever counter-clockwise, the lever will lock back into the normal position. Make it a habit to always keep your thumb lightly pushing the takedown lever clockwise when you are re-installing the slide and you will avoid locking up the slide!
I wish I came across this first. My slide is jammed up good :( any tips on unjamming it would be great 🙏🏽
How important do you feel it is to add the tungsten rods to the inside of the grip? Any real life difference in recoil? Thank you for the video!
There are several reviews on the Wilson COmbat website. Evidently in some grips, the rods are not long enough, so you have to fill the gaps with silicone caulk
The felt recoil itself won't change at all since nothing about the slide or recoil spring has changed. I have the tungsten weights in my P320 with a Wilson module and more than anything it helps offset the mass of my weapon light to help the gun feel more balanced in my hand.
Interestingly, the P365 boasts the lowest bore-axis ratio of any 9mm handgun on the market. That alone reduces the recoil of the gun by putting the force more in line with the bones of your arm and reducing the moment arm over which torque can be generated to make the muzzle rise. In shooting both my P320 with a 4.7 inch barrel and my P365X with a 3.1 inch barrel, the 365 feels like it recoils a lot less.
I think you are better off getting a tungsten guide rod to help with muzzle flip.
Train with weights to improve your grip. Kettlebells and deadlifts. Not joking!
@@Sourpusscandy Yes, I’ve done that before. Not with kettle bells, but with holding a 10 lb weight out front with a shooting stance with each hand. Gets tiring fast. I’m always open to recommendations on getting stronger for shooting. Thanks.
When are the P365XL frames coming back in stock? Patiently waiting.
You may place an order to be first in line for the restock.
What do I gain by changing the lower module besides the sexy grip? Is that accessory rail more compatible to after market lights
You don't need "new magazines"- you just need to change the baseplate- which SIG kindly provides with all 365/365XL 12 round factory mags.
The only thing I ran into is the Grip itself, it’s not as thick as the 320 Grip, I use a Hogue Grip Sleeve, the help it fill my Hands.
Hey Guy!! I want a Coyote Brown grip module for my P320 in .45 caliber. I cannot find one on the website, only for the other calibers. Can you help? Thanks, Bill
Well let be clear neither one of my units I bought has the Manual Safety Lever.
Itwould be interesting to know how many external saftey models he has sold. My best (Guess-& that is all it is) is 10-20%. The Wilson Combat "Crowd, does not sem like a group of people that would want the manual saftey. I could be way off. Bill would know. I am going to try to Google it.
Tap, rack, Guy Joubert
Hi guys!!! Please get the word back to the designers….. the P365 and XL, as long as you’re redesigning the grip module, PLEASE, DITCH THE LAME SIG GROOVE AND MAKE A PIK-A-TINNY RAIL! The lame Sig groove is good for nothing! I will buy a XL grip module with a picatinny rail, for sure!
Have you considered making this out of aluminum? I would be in the market for that. Even though it would make the firearm heavier, I prefer a more balanced feel to the pistol and would actually prefer the extra weight.
There are some other aluminum options out there, but none have captured the design as well as yours.
🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I wish somebody (aside from icarus) would make a full length frame for the 365xl. Not that I have a problem with icarus but it's awful spendy for a grip I may not like. I highly doubt that I'll dislike it but they're still 300 bucks though.
I wish sig or Wilson would make a polymer frame for it thats full length. I'd like to see one with 1913 rail on it as well...dinky as it is..
Kinda sounds like you want a P320 ;)
I'd love to see a polymer version of the Icarus with the picatinny rail but with the Wilson Combat grip dimensions. LOL, no I dont want a 320. The 320 is too chubby compared to the 'XL - at 1.3 inches wide versus 1.1 inches ( really 1 inch except for the magazine well flare) the 365, 365X and 365XL are much better suited for concealed carry. The 320 is a fine service pistol and open carry weapon but concealing is more difficult.
@@XrayMike17plus1 I carry a P320 full size IWB daily lol.
@@theKashConnoisseur Yeah , it' s possible lol. I can AIWB a Walter PDP and even an FN 509T depending on the day's anticipated activities. I like the 'XL because of the carry flexibility. I normally wear a lightweight T-shirt base layer with a typical safari style button down, worn open with the sleeves rolled up. The XL carries discretely at 2:30 in a Tulster Countour OWB that sorta tucks in under my ribs without printing. Dont get me wrong, I really like the 320 X-Carry and may end up getting one if Wilson Combat has a grip module that fits it.
Stay vigilant and die free.
@@XrayMike17plus1 I know Wilson has a module for the X-Carry, on their site is a sizing guide for the various P320s, might be helpful to you. I got their grip on my fullsized model and it's an understated but appreciable upgrade from the stock module. Here's to hoping they have one in stock for you!
Cheers.
If anyone has a Problem that can’t figure out then they probably should not be fooling with a Firearm. They are the easiest Change over Grip Modules around period. Great Modules, I personally Love them That’s why I have Bought Four of them Two 320 and Two 365 one for a XL and the Regular 365 but those Modules are identical anyway so it doesn’t matter.
Good for you, loser.
All this is issues that have nothing to do with the Wilson grip module. It's just part of the p365 and p365xl design.
The only problem I see from wilson is a lack of love for manual safeties.
I don't see the point in doing this whats wrong with the original frame
