The presentation discussed a few of Link’s new abilities, featured a robotic enemy not shown in any of the trailers, and showed how Link is able to craft new weapons and vehicles. That part seemed the most exciting.
It explicitly says "roughly 10 minutes of gameplay" that does not mean the video will be 10 minutes. Especially if they are going to show off the new TotK switch which is hinted at in the picture or the amiibo. I'm thinking it will be more likely to be 15+mins in total.
I just think the 10 minutes will be broken into 3 segments. Gameplay in the sky, on the surface, and in the caves underground. The surface will probably be the shortest just to show differences between TotK and BotW.
Am I the only one who isn’t thrilled with the crafting concept? I’m worried because to me that looks like they’re saying “here’s some tools, make your own friggin Hyrule/story” rather than “this is what’s in Hyrule, this is the set story and prebuilt weapons/vehicles etc.” Like, y’all remember the deal with ACNH? Don’t get me wrong - I still love how polished and neat the crafting was, but it left all other areas with more to be desired. It essentially gave us a sandbox, borderline god simulator rather than feeling like we were truly immersed within the world. And I don’t want that to happen to Zelda. I dunno. I just want an expansive world without the need for a mechanic that Nintendo has been obsessively implementing in their big titles. This kinda relates to the typical linear format of past Zelda games, where’s it’s much more magical to have that veil - to barely let us peek behind the curtain.
I think it will probably be like when Bill showed gameplay of botw. Showing off some areas, some monster and one or two npc's and then cut right before something big like a dungeon entrence . I dont think we Will get to much info about the game
I won't be watching it, I will be ignoring as much as I can because I want to go into this game knowing nothing! I can wait 46 more days. it's going to be a long time until another Zelda game
