I think that without glitches, the most damage you can take is from the cannons at death mountain. They will always one shot Link, even with max armor and a lv 3 defense up boost. They also break the hylian shield in 4 hits!
1:56 not true, the highest damage you can take without glitches is the gold lynels explosion. It does 216 damage. Which makes it impossible to survive if you just have the strongest armor (88 armor points) and have 30 hearts. You need to also have a lvl 3 defense buff to survive with a mear 4 hearts.
Did you know guardians have a minimum damage of 3.5 hearts? Weather I wear 80 armor, or 88, or even combine it with defensive food, it is always 13 max, 3.5 minimum instead of 0.25 minimum.
You get less damage, when you wear the goron armor with an armor stat of at least 44. That is, because a part of these 3.5 hearts is explosion damage, which can be avoided with the goron set bonus.

well, depending on semantics i can think of a way to theoretically get the number higher. Flame/bomb weapon, link doing nothing to put out the fire once hit. The fire was inflicted with the attack, and therefor the burning damage counts as part of the attack. If link doesnt put it out, it will eventually kill him, and if we continue to watch the corpse burn, the nuber keeps going up, even if there is no entity to experience the pain of the damage. Dont want to semantics the fire weapon or burn damage after death? What about an enemy knocking link past the heat barrier on death mountain? The attack did a certain amount of base damage, and caused further damage from rag-dolling into the extreme heat. Even if the fire from a fire weapon would eventually burn out, the same cant be said of the heat of death mountain. Like i said, semantics. Guess i was just a little underwhelmed by the glitch-less answer in comparison to link's max damage output.

If Link is frozen when he gets hit the damage is doubled. Plus I think the Gold Lynel explosion and attack up Royal Guard Claymore is more powerful than the Savage Lynel Crusher.

I just realized I’ve never seen anything do an odd amount of damage in my time playing, I thought they removed quarter heart because I’ve only ever had full or half hearts
Since weapon modifier corupption is a thing the damage thing is tecnically untrue since star shooter aka bow of light with 10 shot and 230dmg up is strongest

@@firefox56542 Search UA-cam for "botw durability transfer". It involves overloading the menu by using multishot shock arrow bows. It's a little confusing at first but not too difficult to get the hang of.

If you headshot an animal then it does like 1000000 damage but you cant really tell because of the animals low health
Headshots on animals deal 10000x the normal damage

I tested the Cannons and it one-shot Link, even in Normal Mode bypassing the Anti One-Shot at Max Health.

That's no fun though. One shots just deal as much as you need too, varying from 1 to I think 1.2k not even close to the highest in this vid

When Link is frozen, he only receives a bit of extra damage. And you cant give a Royal Guard Claymore to a lynel.

A red boko actually has a base damage stat of 0. That can be proven with a weapon

You don't take fall damage, when you have moon jump. But even if you use a flying machine, it maxes at 65.000.
