BM-21 Grad - Russian 122 mm multiple rocket launcher

- The BM-21 "Grad" (Russian: БМ-21 "Град", lit. 'hail') is a Soviet truck-mounted 122 mm multiple rocket launcher. The weapons system and the M-21OF rocket were first developed in the early 1960s, and saw their first combat use in March 1969 during the Sino-Soviet border conflict.BM stands for boyevaya mashina (Russian: боевая машина - combat vehicle), and the nickname grad means "hail". The complete system with the BM-21 launch vehicle and the M-21OF rocket is designated as the M-21 field-rocket system. The complete system is more commonly known as a Grad multiple rocket launcher system. In NATO countries the system (either the complete system or the launch vehicle only) was initially known as M1964. Several other countries have copied the Grad or have developed similar systems.

- Yes.
Yep :D All of them to ukr with love :D
throw em in the field. thats what the ruskies do. they miss everything with these systems cause ther is no accuracy.

This was the master piece of Russian Military Developments. An incredible weapon.
It's a firework box on a truck, sized up for beeg rockets.
I really enjoy the speed with which it fires rockets 😎🐺
MLRS my beloved, my favourite military vehicle.
Our country has a lot of those things! It is a great help that they fought side by side with us during the Cambodia-Thailand conflict over Preah Vihear Temple.
Not very effective tactically due to being very inaccurate, but their real value in combat is as a terror & physiological weapon when used in massed volleys.
Read about how early soviet MLRS, even as crude and inaccurate add they were, would send the Germans into a panic and they often fled in terror at the hellish sounds the rockets made in flight.
Das mag sein. Aber wenn es schön knallt und rumpelt, heult und zischt, ua-cam.com/video/WLAopLm7icE/v-deo.html werden die Deutschen und die Amis Fersengeld geben.
Trench swiper.
But cant destroy bunker.
Stalin's Organs
Germans VERY seldom fled
yes what you say is true, but the germans startet to realise, that they were more or less useless, becaus of the lack of precision.
All you need is a cost effective guidance kit and they're still pretty useful. Many countries build Grad Rockets for like 1000$. Tons of firepower if you can make them decently accurate

What a sight 😍
Just wait until the a-10 finds out 😬

Yea, extremely devastating weapon.
I pity most Ukranian soldiers who have to face such horrible shelling, but they have to blame their corrupt US proxy government...

@@Crank797 what?
why do you want to imagine the point of view of the enemy? Evil man
Looks like us Westerners have missile launchers now too. Imagine the mess the flying body parts of the Russians will make, I feel sorry the Ukrainians will have to clean it up.
Why are MLRS so cool?!
Wonderfull
So this thing don’t run out of missile

😅😅😅Oh wait Ukraine has HIMARS, good luck Russians
hmmmm, you can't compare the Himars to the grad. They have very different fines. the himars and the nato artillery in general, have the objective of attacking with precision objectives such as command posts or ammunition warehouses. The grad and the Russian artillery in general use the technique of massing fire, and these are aimed at sweeping large areas. Basically himars sniper, grad shotgun, serve very different purposes and each is effective if used properly.
Lmao you long can America afford to keep supplying Himars? Uncle sam is gonna rob you soon to fund Ukraine war 😂
Long live with my Beautiful Lovely Unique Russia 🇷🇺🌹

Yes, Kharkiv
Yes, massive attacks on civilians.
Yes
The russian soldiers are kinda weak but they got some fine artillery and weapons
@@masterwhomp565 😂 kinda weak?
Loading procedure takes ages, enough for enemy to move to other positions. Second the range is really crap. If loading time, range and some smart guidance implementation then it could be really lethal. WW2 battlefield has changed but not RU strategy.
It's about sheer quantity..
well it won't move to a shooting spot unloaded. It will arrive shoot and leave. It's perfect for wars like Ukraine.

This Russian random target launchers are shit comparing to NATO and other modern armies guided missiles launchers.
@@clovekkk OK you just purposefully compared two completely different things altogether, I don't know what is the point in that. rus also has a lot of guided missiles. But you can buy a bunch of these for the price of one guided missile, though. Much better for the typical "just erase those towns completely" strategy russia is so happy to engage in. 1:05 this is not GRAD bro.... grad never lands at 90 angle
Because the launch angle is vertical The landing of the missile is vertical The more vertical the launch angle, the shorter the missile's range
@@ArmiesPower its still highly unlikely, the explosions are way too powerful, GRAD has pretty much tiny warhead (20 kilograms of TNT)

💯 This is one of the common types that Ukrainians use to shell civilians in The Donetsk city, not sure why they prefer this type for killing civilians but I have seen hundreds of strikes on down town areas with many murders of children and their parents trying to get out of their apartments as they are raining down on them. They like to use this type on the shopping centers and hospital and schools also.
