Going through this with a loved one whom I care for tremendously. This is the hardest thing I have yet to deal with and I have been through a lot in life. I feel the most important thing is that you as a “caretaker” if that is your role, understand the ONE going through this and educating yourself is paramount. I am just hoping that she becomes stable enough to actually accept help someday. There are going to be many challenges but I feel it is rewarding, knowing you were doing everything to help someone who needs it the most.

This is for everyone going through psychosis: Stay strong, you will be all right! You’re not alone. Contact someone to help you through this. I had drug induced psychosis from weed and DMT and i felt like i’ll never feel ok and my life is lost but it’s not. I am completely fine and happy right now after 2 months of recovery without medication. I am back to my normal life like nothing has happened. So have hope and patience and everything will be okay♥️♥️

I think this video can be of real help, especially to young people. The medical professionals in the video, all seemed compassionate & knowledgeable in their field.

Thank you for this. Wish I’d seen it earlier. I deliver a large amount of mental health training and I will signpost people towards this video to increase their awareness and understanding. Great to see a video like this put together so well!

Thank you to a great and understandable description Made easier to understand The lady's voice is very soothing. I luved with a sufferer of schizophrenia both confusing and misunderstood still But living in the kind of a sufferers hard Not that I'm martyr but there was no help. Also medication was never an option He believes he wasn't poorly I just wish the help was out there for him 😔

One of my favorite singers/ best-ish friends has been experiencing this for a while now unfortunately and it breaks my heart seeing him go through this 💔🥺 It’s so scary to see and my heart genuinely aches for him
There are days where I myself have felt out of touch with reality and have felt like fake/ not myself, etc
Currently I haven’t been feeling like myself due to my depression and bipolar 😕

As a sufferer of bipolar two I often tell myself to ignore certain thoughts its the illness and irrelevant . Ignore and distract your self by focusing on a task or being observant of where one is for example .

Can you kindly provide a list of helpful link's to access on the subjects in your film? The last chapter with the voices really resonated as my bf is battling these as i write this. Sadly, they tell him awful thing's not just to and about him, but now, about me. So destructive&invasive these voices, he's convinced I'm lying about everything&can't be trusted - hence, can't be w me.
    Seeking Guidance.

It's a shame that so few people have watched this video. We're lucky to have the NHS in this country, but too many British people are watching poor-quality videos about topics such as psychosis on UA-cam.

@Jimberry and the Couscous Can you explain please? Psychosis is not normally seen as a disability, so I'm curious for your view on this.

You guys medicated me into oblivion for 30 years
& refused psychotherapy then just dumped me!
More than half my life lost to psychiatry plus losing another 10-20 years due to poly drugging .
What do you say to that?
This video is nothing like the experiences of many who are struggling with life!

I've been in a similar situation to yourself, whereby doctors will justify a drug because they think you have a diagnosis. If you challenge their authority they call the Police and take you to court where you lose your job.
It's happening now, in front of your face. But it's not about getting my job back, it's about catching the untouchable who think they are above the Law. The reason is they never made a diagnosis and they used Police to force me to believe I had a diagnosis. They said if I believed in my diagnosis which had never been made, they would give my prestigious job back. My lawyer called it Oppression of society and couldn't get my job back. It's government controlled propaganda to protect the GP from legal action.
They use Police to enforce a diagnosis. Cowards.
