- Hey guys! This is going on my "short that turned out to be way longer than I thought" list. I need to stop doing this lol
Doing this I realized I used tree houses very ew times, it's not a thing I think of so it was interesting seeing how they made it a big part of Growing Together's trailer
Sims 3 was very simple, it was like a big toy for children only and I loved it, specially the mean little things like dumping water on sims and denying entrance to unwanted sims, it felt like a kid's game. I also liked the variety in looks but I wish they had more ways to play in these
Sims 4 feels like it wanted to be unique but ended up running out of ideas, I liked small details like decorating the house and playing pretend inside, but, has anyone been able to make the spooky story work? I'm genuinely curious if it's just my game or if it's a common bug. Either way, it's okay for what it is but I was hoping for more.
Treehouses are a very small detail in the sea of content that Generations gave us, it's truly a shame to see they were a bigger part of Growing Together and even then they feel not that big in comparison. I remember when Vampires came out it felt like Sims 4 was doing its own thing focusing on the smaller scale to make those things better, but lately it seems like EA/Maxis are not sure how to fill the void before Sims 5 comes out, maybe I'm being too negative but that's how it feels to me. I don't like the way this franchise is going at all but I hope they pick it up. Horses seem to be close and I expect them to surpass Sims 3's, but let's see how that goes.

the doodles in the sims 4 playtime/imagination interaction continues to be one of my favorite details in any game. it's just so cute and it's extra neat when i realized the doodles only appear when im controlling a kid sim
i agree! sims 3 also did something similar with kids’ imaginary friends! there’d be a whole other kid walking around and interacting with your child that the adults couldn’t see when you were controlling them. too cool.
Or even if you use a Sim with the Childish trait
I feel likes it's a lazy way to get away with not doing any interesting animations. That interaction was literally the kid smiling and waving on the same spot and doing absolutely nothing
i like that they used music from mysims as well 😊
and although it isn't related to Children, Sim Exclusive Visuals exist in The Sims 2 as well. Sims who go into Social Failure or Aspiration Failure, will see a Social Bunny or Therapist respectively, but Only the Sim who is in Failure (For Social Failure, all sims Teen and Older can see the bunny if they share low Social...but Aspiration is Sim Unique)
I love the ability to actually build and customize the treehouse in Sims 4 with various objects and decor.
I think in sims 3 if you have your sims try for baby, depending on which treehouse it’s in the baby is more likely to be born with a particular trait (for example sci fi hideaway would be genius or eccentric)

I wish play pretend wasn’t only when they’re on the treehouse in sims 4. Play pretend should’ve been an extra interaction at any time for child sims.
& they could’ve easily gotten into costumes, especially the ones that come with seasons/spooky stuff
Was thinking Sims 4 was hollow but then I heard sound effects from MySims and my nostalgia almost got the better of me. Sims 3 just has more life.
Okay, it's nasty that they can woohoo in the treehouse while kids are around in the Sims 4 💀 at least Sims 3 parents did it when they weren't there!!

from what im seeing, its because its a rabbithole in the sims 3 and not in the sims 4, they wouldn't do it if the kids were in the enclosure but since they aren't, its ok. its like if they woohooed in their room and a kid was outside the door or in a room with a connected wall, its gross but whatever

I think the whole thing of woohoo in the kids treehouse is weird to begin with tbh
as a simmer, I believe this is a tie because the sims 3 treehouses look realistic while the sims 4 you can build it from start to finish with a few upgrades to add in.
I never realize there were different interactions for each kind of Sims 3 tree house?! I learn new things for this game still 😆
I was playing with the Aftons again in The Sims 3 one last time before starting midterms. I decided to put a treehouse in the backyard. And what do you know? The kids played on it all day. I made Crying Child dump water on Michael for bullying him and made Elizabeth dump water on William out of pure entertainment. Let’s just say it was a blast to see the reactions. 😅😅😅😅😅
In the sims 4 tree house you can also put some objects on the deck
But sims cant use them and I don't think there's a fix yet
@@miracle9445must have been fixed. I placed one of those hologram video game things on mine and my sims use it all the time
the treehouse looks great in the sims 4, but it seems like sims 3 has more treehouse options so that's a win for me.
I loved TS3 and the treehouses were so much fun but I didn't realize some of the features that were there lol!!!
They really improved the tree house in Sims 4. I need to get Growing Together.

the effects and designs in the sims 3 treehouses are way better
I really do like the fact that you can customize your treehouse the way you want in Sims 4, instead of having to buy a separate treehouse like in Sims 3 -- and honestly, they both seem to have the same amount of options when you look at them. Though cripes, the fact that adults can woohoo in the treehouse right next to their children -- no WONDER there's an option to ban adults! XD
Sims 3 did it best but sims 4 wasn't that bad too! It actually looks pretty nice

Seems like sims 4 decided to go on a more realistic design, where the decoration feels hand crafted. And the all in one interactions.
The metalic space ship one from the sims 3 was maybe too much but it looks funny.
In the Space Explorer game, the sound from Simcity 2013 is used 5:11

I like the treehouse in sims 4 with the more options and building with kids. But it feels empty. And I hate to complain but it is freaking huge. Why are items in sims 4 always large in size?
I believe it is spacious because you can place a variety of objects up there like a telescope, planter boxes, activity tables for the kids, toy boxes, science tables, musical instruments, meditation pillow, the videogames pad and other decorations. Idk why they didnt show it in the video, maybe they forgot.

The Sims 4 one looks better but is waaaaay more lifeless compared to Sims 3

the fairytale playing feature in the clubhouse in sims 4 has the same music from the sims 3 baby and toddler swing you could by on the sims 3 store
Sims 3 for the variety in options. I haven’t played with the one from Growing Together yet so I can’t give my vote.
I actually like Sims 4 better cause you can watch the sims play pretend, you can put objects on it for more play options and watching kids help a parent build it is freakin adorable. Sims 3 did well, but for once Sims 4 wins for me…

They're some of my first videos. I just named them "life part 1, 2 and 3" but my content and Sims 4 were pretty new so I may update them when the game is done :)

Because it definitely isnt a win for the sims 4. The sims 3 treehouses look like theyre actually made by a family, sims 4 looks like a factoru made it. In sims 3 its exclusively for kids which is better that way because adults already have so much to do so it feels more special for the kids. Play pretend in the treehouse is also more realistic and play pretend could also be done OUTSIDE of treehouses with costumes for kids so sims 4 adding a few squiggles on the treehouse for play pretend is only to add some aesthetic charm to the lack it has otherwise. Also sims 4 adults can woohoo with kids still around. Its weird as hell
I honestly like 4 more, it looks better and has nicer options.
Can we please bully EA into making a Sims 3 Remastered? I know damn well most of the new people playing the Sims have not enjoyed everything that the Sims 3 or even Sims 2 has to offer. Speaking of Sims 2... if anyone knows how to get it or fix it please lmk because I'm trying to play it (unless you specifically need the disks then rip to me bc my gaming laptop doesnt have a disk slot option.)
I can't help you with sims 2, but let's all pretend Sims 4 never happened, like we'll all just go on social media and be like "Sims 3 hasn't had an update, since like what 2014? Did EA give up on the Sims? Honestly can't wait for the next sims 3 expansion!"
after rediscovering my love for the sims 3 i changed a lot of my opinions of the sims 4 and started to understand the criticisms more. but i really just don't see how tf the sims 3 treehouses would win here. if anyone would like to help me understand a bit better you can do so, but i'm having a real hard time getting this.
In sims games I give more attention to my sims mood and needs even other progress bars is important
Sims 3 definitely has more variety and thought put into it. But oh… the MySims music in TS4… makes me wanna cry from nostalgia.
The Sims 3 always gets my vote. It just looks much nicer to me than The Sims 4 too. Thanks for making these videos. They're always interesting to watch. :)

See I really don't think Growing Together should have come with a world. They waste a lot of the pack's budget and resources into having to decorate and design the set dressing to the new world, when that should go to having more gameplay items and interactions in the game instead 😕

I really don't like the sims 4 treehouses. They're way too big and oversized. You can't really put them in a lot of lots in the game.
Everything in Dims 4 is oversized, it's funny they fixed the telescope but the microscope is still a giant
I like the treehouses on the sims 3 generations. I like the kid's clubhouse tree house better. Because it has a slide. I like the Sci-fi hideaway and the princess and the pauper Castle tree house too.

I love how i can build anything, but see and crontol sims life is boring, i feel ever empty in Sims 4, but in Sims 3 i have a lot o fun and gameplay everytime, i can play for all day and i want more and more, because i dont feel boring.

In either game, can treehouses be repossessed? Like if you have people using a treehouse when the repoman comes to collect, would they still be able to take the treehouse? And if so I imagine the sims currently on it would have to get out first.
There are bugs that prevent me to see the treehouse. I don't know why and how to solve it. It goes back to when the treehouse wasn't build but the kids can still go there... but they are like in the air 😅 Any ideas about how to solve it?
3:55 Sims 4 are beautiful graphic than Sims 3...
The trees used in Sims 4 look a bit off. They look like debug trees with the weird scaling. And it looks strange having no other trees that match the look of them, so it limits which worlds you can put them in without them looking odd.
Honestly don't like ground grass in Sims 4 looks so plain. I love Sims 3 grass much better and realistic and it match to the treehouse

Am I the only one who thinks that the treehouse in ts4 is soo big and ugly? Also it would be better if the kids were better animated while playing pretend, its's kinda funny that they just stand there.
