I have all the packs (minus ROM, Werewolves, Vampires & JTB because I don't play occult sims) and my absolute "must haves" are Seasons, Growing Together, Get Together, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Horse Ranch and Spa Day. Teir 2 would be Get To Work, Eco Lifestyle, Island Living, Jungle Adventure, Snowey Escape and Parenthood.
@@Sam-nm1ix I'd personally get growing together not just because of the amount of bugs that come with horse ranch, but also because it makes genuine changes to the way your sims interact with not just their family but the world/sims around them
@@Sam-nm1ixWait on horse Ranch til a sale...it is NOT worth what they charge. I too had to choose between Growing Together and Horses...I chose poorly.
Can I also add Get Together is great for single sims despite the name. The world is so big so you have more to explore and not get so bored. Also you could be in different clubs so your sim can actually socialize and be apart of something without having a family. I just know when I play with single sims, they automatically live their best h0e life in Windenburg or San Myshuno 😂
I have to agree about City Living. I love the gameplay, it's very colourful and the apartments are great. My only criticism is that after a certain update, doors no longer disappear when playing with walls down. It's totally immersion-breaking for me to have walls half-down and the doors just sticking up like that. Super annoying. Also, I'd love the chance to actually build apartments, like rowhouses.
I agree with everything here! I only don't have Horse Ranch because I insist on waiting for a sale 😶 I enjoy University also, just study from home or teleport through campus by shift click, other than that I love it, it gives the most amazing work boosts and perks
Actually to play with farm I would exclude seasons, it have the bug of plants reseting that is more annoying than a challenge. Or download a mod to make plants grow all year.
i absolutely love the Carnival Streetwear kit, with the clothes that are on fire, it has jewelry, and comes with its own make up and radio station. i love it. i also really like the pastel pop kit, i add some of the to every time i build a bedroom! i do absolutely nothing with the desert luxe kit, it seems rather unnecessary. i love my little campers kit. its their version of camping outdoors.
I really like your recommendations and agree with them, i have most of the expansions and packs (except for Horse Ranch and Batuu lol) BUT your recommendations for kits were very useful and practical. I got the one for kids(something something campers) and consider the book nook and the plants one. I think that you being so critical of the sims make you more trustworthy with your recs.
Thanks to your video I now need to figure out how to play a single household sims that has a ranch life but also lives in an appartment, has pets and a cool job but also discovers the jungle and kind of wanna use the cottage extension .. Oh and lets not forget the laundry part

Buuuuut I love that this is a happy-clappy-money-is-no-object video, makes a refreshing change... and we still get "real satch" exprerience (= a guy that genuinly loves the game + a guy that doesn't tolerate EA BS) Anyhoo ! Love that you always put your reviews into the perspective of different types of players !!! I'm a gameplay-gal and I oscillate between familly, single & farming... it's interesting to consider which packs suit which style 7:31 so far I agree with everything you say... but I would have added this pack to single sim players ... the group systeme is so usefull but also great fun when your sims are alone
I don't know about growing together. The milestone system is not like the sims 2 memory system, and i feel like they need to compact things e.g. traits, milestones etc. Cause it takes up so much space, why make us scroll vertically, can't horizontal scrolling exist in the sims 4? Also, i don't want the extra infant gameplay, i really don't! 😂 they should have made the infant interactions base game, because my infants are already high maintenance, and i don't want to deal with interacting with them even more to get top notch infant!
Well for YOU, but a LOT of simmers are family gameplay and they wanted playable babies:) Also I want playable babies :D so they were going to happen 🥰 whether you liked it or not :) cause I been asking for this for 8 years :D/s
@@lxlx7941 didn't say it wasn't, I commented on growing together because satch said its a pack he thinks *everyone* needs, and I disagree. As you said, family simmers want this, it's not a necessity for the game, like seasons. Having weather, and having playable babies are not the same, in my opinion.
@@lxlx7941The infants are playable in basegame. I love interacting with my infants and don’t have the over complex milestones to deal with. And family play is my cup o tea.
I HATE seasons. Everyone says you need it so I got it and I don’t like the weather aspect AT ALL. The build buy and cas part of it are pretty good. I also really don’t like the holidays in the game.
Inspired by this video, I got Seasons, Growing Together, Parenthood, Jungle Adventure, and Paranormal Stuff. Through the limited time free offers EA provided, I also got the Blooming Rooms Kit, My First Pet Stuff, Backyard Stuff, and Romantic Garden Stuff. No, I don't have Cats & Dogs.
No no. Laundry day is so broken. It's a pack about doing laundry, yes. But can you actually do your laundry, or will it get stuck soggy and dirty coming out of the dryer. No matter how many times you delete the soggy clothes, the dryer, and/or the washer. The game play never works. Even though they said they fixed it recently, they did not. I'm glad i like the cas and build buy or it would have been such a waste of my 7.50 (i never buy packs at full price such a scam.)
i still think that buying anything from sims4 is just not worth it, but thats my opinion, i used to play sims2, sism3 and it was soooo much better than sims4, my boyfriend got some stuff from sims4 and i got bored soooooooo fast. the graphics are amazing, i have to admit that, but theres just nothing to do, lol. i used to play sims3 for days, i hope that sims5 will be better.. surely..
Kids room stuff for family gameplay. I also think City Living is for families too. You could be living in a crappy apartment struggling to make enough money for your family to afford a house.
This is a really good perspective! Not that you're being more "positive" but it's true, the only thing really wrong with these packs is its cost! (Or being broken) If My First Horse Ranch was free, I'd be delighted by it.
I literally refused to start playing Sims 4 until Parenthood came out. I’ve never played the base game because I bought City Living and Parenthood to start. My essentials are (in this order): Parenthood City Living Growing Together Cats & Dogs Seasons Dream Home Decorator Tiny Living Kids Room/ Toddler Stuff Second Tier: Laundry Day Vintage Glamour Discover University Jungle Adventure Bowling Night Spa Day Dine Out Get Together
I’ve been playing base game only for like months. I also play Sims 2 and 3. I am basically dipping my toes in 4, so I am not pressed. Still having fun with my kids, toddlers, and infants. So when I do finally buy growing together and parenthood. It will be a treat. I am not pressed about Seasons as much as everyone says it’s necessary. I want the holidays, but I live in a place that might as well have two seasons (california) so weather isn’t how I mark my years anyway.
I have most of them but not toddler n laundry day SPs. I heard so many youtubers complain about toddler SP and I'm even avoiding doing laundry irl let alone in the game 😂 Edit: I only got Get Together recently and find myself hardly use it except for the world. I know that the clubs and stuff are meant to be lotta fun but I genuinely don't know how to make it that way. I only use it when I try to get rich by enslaving a bunch of sims to paint for me 😅

I agree - I would love to have many of these packs BUT they price is just too much for what you get. Plus, I really think much of these should be base game like weather - why isn't weather base game?!!!!!!!! And Parenthood and Cat and Dogs- those should have been base game seriously, I appreciate the SIMS 4 basegame is now free but I would pay for the base game if it included everything it should have in it. I really wish DLCs where more about new worlds and more game play was in base game.
I looove the build stuff that comes with Eco Lifestyle, but is it worth getting due to how annoying the upkeep with the action plans are? (And given that the CAS clothes are so ugly)
There's an option to disable voting for everyone but your sims, so you can vote any that you like in and then just forget about it. (there's a bug where it will tell you ones been passed if you're not at home when the vote closes, but it wont have)
I thought I’d heard elsewhere that having a dog will help keep foxes away but that’s the only cross compatibility there is. I haven’t tested this myself though so I have no idea if it’s true or not
Cats & Dogs... EVEN if your family don't have a pet, you can add a lot trait that'll attract cats or dogs. That makes the whole game MUCH more lively. Combined with the Traits Turned Challenge mod, you don't need to sacrifice any other trait to have cats and dogs roaming around. Sorry console players. With Parenthood. Those school projects are GREAT. They allow your kids and teens to build several skills, and do so even faster than performing those skills in the normal way. Clutter packs ? WHY ? There is enough clutter in the base game, and there is still more coming with pretty much all the DLCs. Then, for those on PC and Mac, many CC do contain some clutter.
all of my favorite packs are not there.. guess I prefer the aesthetic and the vibe over the gameplay! (snowy escape, realm magic, university, vampire, high school...)
Love your channel and LOVE how you absolutely ROAST the Sims 4 sometimes 😂 ❤ As a Sims player who has played them all...Sims 4 is the prettiest but the Sims are SO bland lol they just have no real personality That being said I own ALL of these damn packs and then some. I do get some on sale..but it does piss me off how so many packs should have been consolidated and also how glitchy they can be..I used to be a PC player but my son moved out and took his awesome gaming set up with him so I bought everything for the ps4 and I hardly play it anymore..not including the LOADING SCREENS 😂 I probably play an hour a month. Thinking back I should have just bought a gaming laptop...it probably would have been way friggin CHEAPER 😂😢
I'm sorry, I'm not rich, I have them all but I have been getting Sims packs over the last almost 10 years. Well, really 23 years as I have been buying packs since Sims 1. My problem is that I play ALL of those styles, and I build and well I just play every way I can. So, I guess that's why I have all the packs, then I just ignore the things I didn't want or doesn't work. Ok, I do not have Wedding Stories and would not have Dine Out except it was bought for me. Actually, I haven't bought any packs myself for a few years now but my family gives them to me so I still own them. Just not Wedding Stories.
I just saw The Sims 4 EA's advert on you tube. CAS is presenting sim with a lot of CC like presets, skin, eyes, lashes etc. Like wtf this is not a part of the game. Anyone saw this?
I wish I never bought the following: Seasons, Get Famous and University. Seasons is annoying with a holiday every five minutes. Get Famous: what a pain in the *ss. I'm sick of celebrities and gaining celebrity points. Useless in my opinion. Also, I don't play occult so there's that too. I just want the worlds. Keep the game play for those occult packs. Paranormal has great build/buy though.
I was gifted the money for most of the kits and will be using mods that gives then gameplay. Not very interested in the cas kits, maybe retro (kinda 70”s & 80’s) leotards and I’d love to see functional roller/ice skates not in a rink.
I have a lot of these , my problem is I am playing on a poor little laptop that is groaning with all of it. I need a proper PC, but have no idea what to get! Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Even if money is no object if you don’t like occult play, for instance, getting the occult packs is just throwing away money for something you won’t play with. You really don’t HAVE to be a completionist just because you have money to spend and you play the sims.
Guys I'm sorry but does anyone know how to get the packs for free? Only I cannot be arsed to spend $894,000 on 2 packs just to enjoy the game slightly and not be bored to death after 10 minutes.

Teir 2 would be Get To Work, Eco Lifestyle, Island Living, Jungle Adventure, Snowey Escape and Parenthood.
Also for kits. The Desert Lux Kit is the best kit they've ever come out with.
Should I get Growing Together or Horse Ranch? I can only buy 1 rn
@@Sam-nm1ix I'd personally get growing together not just because of the amount of bugs that come with horse ranch, but also because it makes genuine changes to the way your sims interact with not just their family but the world/sims around them
@@Sam-nm1ix definitely Growing Together!
@@Sam-nm1ixWait on horse Ranch til a sale...it is NOT worth what they charge. I too had to choose between Growing Together and Horses...I chose poorly.
Awww Satch! This is such a wholesome video - it's so good you see things in both perspectives!👌🏾
love your take on what is the best packs based on types of people :) appreciate it! im more a single-household player type.
Yep.cottage living and horse ranch work well together. I play with both those packs and find some good game play in both when played together. 👍✌
Also, infuriatingly many gallery builds require it because of the basketball court
I agree with everything here! I only don't have Horse Ranch because I insist on waiting for a sale 😶 I enjoy University also, just study from home or teleport through campus by shift click, other than that I love it, it gives the most amazing work boosts and perks
Satch, would you please make a mod management/mod advice (plus baseline must-have mods) video or videos? You’re our only hope. Thank you.😂
Actually to play with farm I would exclude seasons, it have the bug of plants reseting that is more annoying than a challenge.
I got a lot of the packs I have but I need Horse Ranch.
I am mainly a family player but I like mixing that with a farming family.
Edit now I've watched the video to end !!! Agree with pretty much everything, also I find this really refreshing, I am so grateful you point out cash-grabby-nonsense-dont-waste-your-money content... I mean really, who can just spend spend spend ? Buuuuut I love that this is a happy-clappy-money-is-no-object video, makes a refreshing change... and we still get "real satch" exprerience (= a guy that genuinly loves the game + a guy that doesn't tolerate EA BS)
Anyhoo ! Love that you always put your reviews into the perspective of different types of players !!! I'm a gameplay-gal and I oscillate between familly, single & farming... it's interesting to consider which packs suit which style
7:31 so far I agree with everything you say... but I would have added this pack to single sim players ... the group systeme is so usefull but also great fun when your sims are alone
Well for YOU, but a LOT of simmers are family gameplay and they wanted playable babies:)
Also I want playable babies :D so they were going to happen 🥰 whether you liked it or not :) cause I been asking for this for 8 years :D/s
You can toggle some of the weather options off in the settings, and delete most holidays in the calendar. But yeah it can be kind of annoying
@@kittyfolk thanks Abbie, I’ll check that out!
Of all the packs we have, Seasons still ends up being my fav
"...and some people like to build average blue suburban homes..." Lilsimsie called OUT! Lol.
The true answer to "packs you need as a builder" is ALL OF THEM. 🤣 The more options and choices the better!
i still think that buying anything from sims4 is just not worth it, but thats my opinion, i used to play sims2, sism3 and it was soooo much better than sims4, my boyfriend got some stuff from sims4 and i got bored soooooooo fast. the graphics are amazing, i have to admit that, but theres just nothing to do, lol.
i used to play sims3 for days, i hope that sims5 will be better.. surely..
Kids room stuff for family gameplay. I also think City Living is for families too. You could be living in a crappy apartment struggling to make enough money for your family to afford a house.
Btw for kits id say get what you want, its all on taste. I got the ones i like
This is a really good perspective! Not that you're being more "positive" but it's true, the only thing really wrong with these packs is its cost! (Or being broken) If My First Horse Ranch was free, I'd be delighted by it.
I thought laundry would be terrible but i love it
I have all of these packs! I'm not saying I'm a pirate but I am saying that I'm either a pirate or rich. And I'm not rich.
😂
"someone prefers americans blue suburbans" bombastic side eye 👀👀👀👀
Pastel pop is a great kit for girly/ pink style builders
I literally refused to start playing Sims 4 until Parenthood came out. I’ve never played the base game because I bought City Living and Parenthood to start. Honestly, if you’re a new player, I think it’s better to start with fewer packs. It’s very overwhelming with everything that’s out now!
My essentials are (in this order):
Parenthood
City Living
Growing Together
Cats & Dogs
Seasons
Dream Home Decorator
Tiny Living
Kids Room/ Toddler Stuff
Second Tier:
Laundry Day
Vintage Glamour
Discover University
Jungle Adventure
Bowling Night
Spa Day
Dine Out
Get Together
I’ve been playing base game only for like months. I also play Sims 2 and 3. I am basically dipping my toes in 4, so I am not pressed. Still having fun with my kids, toddlers, and infants. So when I do finally buy growing together and parenthood. It will be a treat. I am not pressed about Seasons as much as everyone says it’s necessary. I want the holidays, but I live in a place that might as well have two seasons (california) so weather isn’t how I mark my years anyway.
I have most of them but not toddler n laundry day SPs. I heard so many youtubers complain about toddler SP and I'm even avoiding doing laundry irl let alone in the game 😂
Edit: I only got Get Together recently and find myself hardly use it except for the world. I know that the clubs and stuff are meant to be lotta fun but I genuinely don't know how to make it that way. I only use it when I try to get rich by enslaving a bunch of sims to paint for me 😅
Peter Plays It (youtube channel) has many videos on club ideas! I love to do scouts, parents' association (just a bunch of adults with kids) and then the pre-made clubs. You could even do a church
@@julieaubry2402 yes I subscribed to his channel! Love his content, very informative, also his videos always give me a jolly mood :D. I'll definitely check out his idea, scout club sounds lotta fun!! gonna do it when my infant grows up. Thank you!!
The trigger warning for my first pets is taken me out
Meanwhile me who own literally all of the pack using the repack by Fitgirl lol AND STILL FEELING BORED AT TIMES. The only thing that keep me playing is literally building
yar har har, time to sail on the high seas again mateys
thank you for adding a trigger warning for MFPS 🤧
I feel like you mentioned every pack 😂😂
alternate title: packs you basically need if you’re a Landgraab
I'm a builder and I NEED University in my game.
My first pet stuff is currently free so if you have or is going to buy cats and dogs i think you should download it too
I agree - I would love to have many of these packs BUT they price is just too much for what you get.
If you like crafty sims, yes. The fabrication skill is really nice
Lol the BAGS on the heads in sulani drives me bonkers..I haven't seen it anywhere else
I can't remember which plan it is
@@moonstrukk126 the bags on the heads is my main worry about the pack 😂
There's an option to disable voting for everyone but your sims, so you can vote any that you like in and then just forget about it.
(there's a bug where it will tell you ones been passed if you're not at home when the vote closes, but it wont have)
@@Orenjen omg hahaha 🤣
I thought I’d heard elsewhere that having a dog will help keep foxes away but that’s the only cross compatibility there is. I haven’t tested this myself though so I have no idea if it’s true or not
Pirate the packs is the best revenge to EA , oops
So informative, thanks! 😍
I think you should have more expression faces. Cause I think It is nice to see more new faces. Lol.
Am I the only one that just wanted him to eat that lolly?? 😂
Great,informative video ❤
Yeah we're definitely all rich and not pirates 👀
Thumbnail: Watch’s face when he sees a 6 foot tall guy with blonde hair and blue eyes 💀
all of my favorite packs are not there.. guess I prefer the aesthetic and the vibe over the gameplay! (snowy escape, realm magic, university, vampire, high school...)
The TW for My First Pet Stuff 💀
this is why im getting the pirated version also does anyone have any tips about getting the game with all dlc
enjoying the positive vibes!
In between Vampires and Realm of Magic which one would you choose?
Rom it has 2 worlds and magic users are OP
For cas defo vampires
Love your channel and LOVE how you absolutely ROAST the Sims 4 sometimes 😂 ❤
As a Sims player who has played them all...Sims 4 is the prettiest but the Sims are SO bland lol they just have no real personality
That being said I own ALL of these damn packs and then some.
Google anadius updater thank me later
Can't wait~
DLC on sale is the only reason I have them
im in the pirates team 🏴☠💀🤣
Actually the money isn’t a problem because I work a lot but, now I don’t have the time 😢
Me, who already has almost all the packs but wants to to know anyways
Ok I will say it. If money and unethical bussiness practices are not on the table, My First Pet Stuff is a beautiful pack.
Youre all rich or youre all pirates 😂
EA:nah,we need your money,so please ,you need to have everything
What flavor was that lollipop 🍭
I have a lot of these , my problem is I am playing on a poor little laptop that is groaning with all of it. I need a proper PC, but have no idea what to get! Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Furries getting the werewolves pack:
moschino and vampires are the only valid sims 4 dlcs even if you’re a billionaire the rest is not worth a penny
yess games4theworld ;)
The Question is, if money is no object, why not get all the packs? bet you didn't think about that did you!
Does anyone know if you 🏴☠️ can you still access the gallery?
Yes, you can with all the glitches and uselessness of the owned game version lol
@@arantxaortiz2757 Ah just the way we love it then lol
Money is no object for me cause I pirated it 🤷🏿♀️ c'est la vie
I wish the sims 4 was a fun game.
i have all the packs (in a pirate way) and its still boring
I’m poor but I bought almost all lol
Same this is why i'm poor
@@Eva12218 Durinh Covid I bought all of the packs and I kinda regret that lol 😂 I regret buying some packs so now if I don’t like a new pack I won’t buy it.
