Edit: Thanks for the likes. Just wanted to add an interesting stat. Only twice in 8 editions team batting first has won the final - 2007 & 2012. In all other editions team batting second went on to win including 2010 which was played at Kensington Oval, the same venue for 2024 final.

If Jay Shah could do it, why would he not make sure that India won the 2023 World Cup? Why would anyone want to lose a home World Cup? How can he be so powerful in West Indies and not in India? How does India knowing the date and place of the semifinal lead them to win? Two teams were playing on the same ground, weren't they? When was India not good in the last 13 years? They had made it to the semifinals every time. They are the only team who have a disproportionate weight of expectations. Expectations of their country from the other teams is nowhere close to it. That is a huge crippling disadvantage in pressure situations and the Indian team has had to learn to manage it in the big games. I think that the Indian team loses to the weight of expectations rather than the opposition teams in these big games.

Not sure if anyone noticed the contradiction with IPL success of the players in the Indian team. Mumbai and Delhi boys are getting India across the line consistently, though both teams didn’t make top 4.
From top 4 teams Kolkata, Hyderabad, Rajasthan and Bangalore - players are either not in form or not in the 15 and Rajasthan is fully dedicated to carry water.

Dont think two teams are evenly matched and its only about who is ready to win. Sa is not nearly as strong in spin. Only maharaj could be compared with 4 spinners in indian squad. Sa also not as strong against spin.
On batting front they are relying too much on decock.
