Thanks for sharing your trip.
Much appreciated.
Those “king size” mackerel would be average size in the days before massive factory ships destroyed the schools
At 7.28 i thought Becky had hooked Moby for a moment .
Cracking video my friends!X
I used to love days like that. No matter where you went or what you did you hit groceries. Nice vid kids. Thanx for posting.
Nice to see you back ❤
Becky is turning into a real fisherwoman
Love seeing the huge spring at the Hanois when it's smooth dude. Love it when it's like that out there
Also impressive seeing the power of the tide close up to the light as it folds around the rocks
But you said you were going lighthouse fishing. You didn't catch any! :-) Nice video though and the pollack and mackerel made up for it!
Hi troy Rebecca, well done Rebecca 😂nice pollock 6 of the best mmmmm sounds like a school punishment he he stay safe you two ttfn
Very nice vlog you two. Thanks Keith😀
You both never let us down with entertainment. Excellent video.
Talking about your self ❤
Lovely fish chips and mushy peas😂❤
I spent most of my time up North and East of the island fishing on shore and in boats and always wanted to 'know' the West coast especially around the Hanois.
Its very exposed out that corner of the Island, Conditions can change so rapidly. You don't see many days like this out there on a spring tide.
Wow !! what a day you two had fishing , well with the type of fishing grounds you have their 😊😅
Shame its no way near what it used to be, A lot of the fish are smaller these days and a lot less of them
Far to many commercial fishing boats , maybe hope for the future Trojs
Another nice update thanks Troy & Rebecca. Lovely Pollock and some stonking Mackerel.
I was reading this morning that the UK government are considering a ban on landing Pollock for recreational Anglers due to the stocks being "dangerously low". Anglers are saying that the evidence this is based on is seriously flawed. No mention of a ban for the commercials.
Stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍
You see they never go to the heart of any problem. Their actions are just lip service that do nothing to address the real issue.
@@TrojwatermanTrue - all they do is make life difficult for the recreational Angler whilst the commercials get away with murder.
Yes and small boat owners going out regularly and filling cooler boxes full of fish some of which look small inc what look like 35cm Pollack then saying there's no big ones these days, big commercial fishing vessels have unfortunately got to provide for the billions of people who eat fish
@@mickwalsh8136 Smaller boats catch cooler boxes of fish. large industrial boats catch hundreds of tons of fish and anything else that gets caught in huge nets. If you did not have the factory ships you would have many more smaller boats providing many more jobs providing billions of people with fish with a lot less bycatch. Plus far more intact shoals spawning even more fish.
Good session guys
Cant buy a mackerel of South Devon at mo !!! Plenty Bass though (until the net boys do their work)!!
A lot of the larger bass will be gorging themselves now before heading out to the spawning grounds.
💜👍💜👍
itys a rubbish day up here in central scotland thank goodness for you pair to brighten up my day
Yes I saw the weather on the news :)
arent there any cod in your area?
When I was a kid we used to get some plus whiting and coalfish but very rare now
troj do sell some of your catch you seem to have a lot some days ?
We eat a lot of the fish we catch but I also hold a licence so i can legally sell some of the catch.
How come the fish in the grey box is being covered over with a black cloth, and the next shot in grey box is impty?
They go into the grey box to start with then cleaned and put into Icy water in the coolbox at the bow. (They are covered to keep the sun off)
@@Trojwaterman , Many thanks for your reply, and please stay safe and take care. Just love watching your video's, and they are so entertaining and useful to others who might be thinking of starting up. Regards to both you and Rebacca.
hi , great show , do you ever get any cod ???
Very very rarely these days. I did catch one last year but that's the first one in about 15 years and did catch an 18lb and 30lb one when I was a kid a long time.ago.
I used to boat fish quite frequently and have been out in all sorts of weather.one guy in the club world get sick in a flat calm sea !
That does not surprise me.I have seen people get sick in flat calm weather with a big swell more so than rougher conditions.
Troy, are there any sand banks, south west of Guernsey?
Its mostly flat open deep water. Heading SW from the lighthouse will get you into 200ft of water pretty quick
There's multiple sandbanks 😊, I've caught turbot and Ray, but the hanois area is best know for bass and pollock
@@bailiwickfishing1295 Don't forget mackerel :)
Great as always, cheers to both of you. 👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
What time of year was this?
