I was at the '93 Rhino Rally. I was only 9, but I remember my step dad (who was also racing) talking to Danny about the race in our motorhome. I wish I paid more attention.
I laced a set of wheels back in late 94 for Danny. Not only was he "pin-the-throttle" fast, but he was a great guy to have around and talk to. He was missed by my whole shop, and everyone that could traveled to his funeral where there had to be about 400 people.
Heard this song on this vid. went right to itunes and bought the whole album!!!! It rocks and you know who they are singing about. I wish I could use their songs on my videos. Danny was great!
His style was ahead of its time. it was smoother than johnnys ever was. Imagine if he had Honda technology behind him instead of archaic kawie crap... He'd still be winning. Thank you for posting this video. If anybody has anymore of this man please show the world what they missed out on if they never got to see him ride..
i wont argue with you but i believe your wrong brotha. dannys was a monster on that "anchaic kawi crap" theres no doubt in my mind danny would be winning today with that bike vs crf450x's an all the new desert bikes. some people get so good at riding shit bikes they cant ride a good one. no offense to the kx500
imsroll don’t know what “crap” your talking about, the KX 500 is a scary powerful bike, I know many well respected riders in District 37 who Agee. Good riders can ride any bike.
imsroll not true styles change and the majority of this/last generation desert races are heaps and bounds better. Caselli, Kendall Norman, Ivan, jake argubright. Lots of fast guys now.
Kawasaki should do a kx500 tribute bike to Danny!
My good friend Danny....to this day I still remember the good times prerunning with you in Baja.....Miss you buddy.

You will always be remembered as one of the greats...Your desert racing brothers will never forget you.
15 YEARS AGO TO DAY & I CAN STILL REMEMBER YOUR BIG SMILE ( : SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE RIP DANNY
One of my all time favorite riders. Those Kaw 500's were untouchable.

The guy was fast as fuc@..an absolute legend!!
I rather hear the sound of the 500 than the music.
I think people have forgotten how powerful the 500s were 1:36 says it all. couldn't get my 450 to do that with nitrous
wow!!!! 1:36
There's no helicopter floating around me when I start a race :o
