I'm escaping my small flat in Twickenham and walking London every day thanks to you films. Thank you and please more on West London, Fulham and Chelsea, Victoria and Vauxhall. Or am I being greedy.
Went to George Greens School on the IOD 89- 94 obviously he'd friends and new people from Millwall and Cubit Town. In my experience most (overwhelmingly) were West Ham rather than Millwall fans.
London Districts that was the one. We had a little chat as you was setting up the camera. I told you that I didn’t want to be in the video whilst eating. Hahaha
I stopped here in my canoe today. The slipway to Millwall dock is in a mess. So much plastic rubbish including a plastic tank. I moved the plastic tank out of the river so it does not end in a whale's gut. I hope someone will clean that beach.
@@LondonDistricts I'm always fascinated by the fact that although it was originally in Millwall, the contemporary ground for Millwall FC is, unless I'm mistaken, in Bermondsey, so technically south of the river? (even though there are of course parts of the IOD that are geographically north of places in Bermondsey) Is this irony ever commented on? Don't the fans mind the fact that their team play on the other side of the Thames, or does the "north/south of the river" distinction not apply much in real life? I lived in east London about 18 years ago and was more of a jokey thing then, but I'm from Yorkshire so London customs are often a mystery to me. By the same token though, do people in Bermondsey all tend to be Millwall fans?
@@simonzonenblick395 There is a metal plaque on the pavement on Westferry Rd (not far from Canary Wharf), on the site where Millwall Rovers - the original Millwall - were based. There are quite a few West Ham fans in the area. Not everyone in Bermondsey supports Millwall, but Bermondsey/New Cross has a lot but as with all London clubs, the majority seem to live outside the city these days and travel in.
Love your documentaries, mate.
Thanks Michiel.

I realize it is quite randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?

No way! If you got your chicken and chips from a few doors down, then they were some of the best chicken and chips I've tasted in all of London.

The Barkentine estate was built in the early 60’s,well before the LDC even existed.
Are there any districts in London left that are inhabited by the indigenous English ?
Do people who live in the millwall part of the iod support millwall?
Every single one.

London Districts why you chatting shit lol they support west ham
@@simonzonenblick395 It was well over 100 years ago that the club moved south of the river so the connection has long since died out.

The Barkantine Estate was built by the GLC in 1968, not the LDDC.
Most families on Barkentine were moved in from Stepney,
Good vid btw.
Oh thanks
I was always under the belief that the Isle of dogs name was due to king Charles's dogs being there???
Unrecognisable from 50 years ago and not for the better.
Who supports Millwall?
No one fuck off
