    I shoot weddings! I think it would be cool to learn how to do a heart with my wedding couple in the shot. Very cool stuff! Thanks!

      I used to shoot weddings years ago (early 80's) with the old black and white camera and a separate vcr to record. The vcr was a two piece with a cable connecting the recorder section and the tuner section, a real boat anchor. I was covered in NiCad batteries, all the equipment must have weighed over 30 lbs and the videos were the worst you've ever scene.
      Someone broke into my house and stole all my equipment, I was happy they did.

    Great video. How many turns does the drone make for each exposure? What speed parameters are usually used when making the POI?

    Pretty cool, but should be able to turn off the LED lights on the settings under advanced settings under the main controller tab.

    Sensors pointing down can be disabled in the DJI app. You can then attach accessories under your drone.

    I wish they would make that mount for other models than Mavic 2 pro.
    You have any suggestions for mounting Lumecube if the mount is not an option?

  • @lukezacharias3245

    “To not get sticky stuff on the drone”
    -after he tapes over the flight lights…
    Regardless, do these cube mounts work with the Mavic Air 2? And or do they have mounts designed for the Mavic A2?

    I do have some questions. Because I’m still considering getting the cubes vs. using the built-in aux lights. For doing halo rings, Does having two cubes on at the same time ruin the effect or do you still get a perfect circle?
    Does the lume cubes have a fan beam pattern on their own or is that mostly done in post, or possibly an atmospheric effect (fog?)?
    For instance the shots done looking like an ufo encounter with the beams pointing down on a person.

    Question: How do you set the POI and get it to circle when in complete darkness? Or is it because you are using lights at the source?

    • @Lumecube
      @Lumecube  5 років тому

      You need to be able to illuminate your POI in order to get a perfect circle. So it is illuminated with Lume Cubes!

    • @GrooveYouVerse

      @@Lumecube thanks for responding so quickly! Can I temporarily light the subject to set target, set the flight radius and then turn the temp light off?

    • @Lumecube
      @Lumecube  5 років тому

      Of course! You can light up the POI, set it, then turn the light off. Once you set the POI you are good to go!

    • @cre8tivity06
      @cre8tivity06 4 роки тому +1

      Why would you need to illuminate the POI? I just did one of these the other day and I was in a big field with nothing around. I set the POI and made perfect halos for me.

    • @GrooveYouVerse

      @@cre8tivity06 Ya, I found out about this too. It's purely GPS oriented, so no visual point of reference is required.

    Regarding night waivers for doing these maneuvers at night, hobbyists, i.e., not part 107 (commercial) operators, don't need any sort of waivers do they?

    • @thomasmaughan4798
      @thomasmaughan4798 4 роки тому

      Part 107 FAA license holders can fly up to 30 minutes after sunset in "civil twilight" provided the drone is illuminated and visible 3 miles away. Hobby fliers are not permitted night flying. More than 30 minutes after sunset will require a waiver from the FAA for Part 107 fliers and there's no mechanism for hobby fliers to get a waiver.

  • @cthonias
    @cthonias 3 роки тому

    These look pretty close to the subjects. I'm assuming this did not adhere to being 400 feet away? Were able to you get special waivers for this?

  • @cre8tivity06

    Do you have your cubes at the brightest setting? I tried this today and went to a location I have flown a bunch of times with no issues but go figure today, it kept jumping out of GPS and into ATTI mode. Kept giving me Compass Error messages. I always calibrate before I mount the cubes and for some reason I ran into problems today. All of my light painting images I took tonight looked like streaks which is kinda cool but not what I was going for. I put it in POI mode and it did like half a circle before stopping on its own. I ended up just flying in ATTI mode creating my own kind of light painting art! LOL! Will try again in a couple days.

      I just put some black gaffer tape on the lights in the rear of the drone. I have a Phantom 3 Pro and in the menu you can turn the front LEDs off. I also put tape over the battery lights too. It makes me a little nervous at night when you have everything taped up and your trying to figure out which way its headed! LOL!

    I saw in amazon that Lume Cubes have magnetic parts. Do you know if it will affect the drone compass?

    • @Lumecube
      @Lumecube  4 роки тому +1

      Hey Manuel, the Lume Cube AIR does have a magnetic back. We don't recommend using those for drone use since it can screw up the GPS in drones.

      Unfortunately, don't have any Lume Cube drone mounts for Mavic AIR. However, try out the Lume Cube Strobe if you are still looking to light paint! It has a continuous light mode that would work for you.

    Flying for 30mins past its zero % battery... uuuuum really also why did you 'have to attach it under the drone in such a way that it interfered with the drone sensors'. if you knew this why do it the painting is very good but the implementation and forethought is not good
