great review, you were the first person to do a review showing the cell phone fit in the back pocket. I look for a bag that holds it in an outside pocket too.

I've never been big into Chanel until I saw the Chanel 19 ones last year. Loved that you compared the two types of leather because I definitely want a more durable bag.

Great detailed review! The CHANEL 19 is such a gorgeous bag. Honestly, it looks really good styled casually and dressy. I want another one, but have been so undecided on the color. I really like the light grey, white, and black. However, I am leaning towards the black, but want lambskin. I already have the small light pink in goatskin...pink is my favorite color, so it was a definite must.😍

Great review! I’ve heard many women still like the lambskin but there’s something about the goatskin that attracts me. Maybe it’s the sheen. Maybe for not being as squishy as the lambskin.
Such a gorgeous bag and it really does look like it would be a true everyday bag. That said the price is just holding me back! But it still catches my eye every time I see it! Thanks for the review! 😘😘😘

What a great review! I am surprised at how much will fit in that bag. After you measured the crossbody drop, I’m a little nervous now cuz I’m 5’ 6” and hope it wont be too high up but if it is i will carry top handle. Gonna watch your 19 and Coco comparison next!

Thank you so much for showing us the differences between these two leathers. I don't have any of the 19 bags, but I had often wondered why one of my vintage Chanel 'lamb skin' leather bag is much durable and shinier than my other 'lamb skin'.
My more durable one has your black 19 kind of leather, smooth, durable and more shinier. That 'lamb skin' (as I thought it was) must be 'goat skin' then.

Such beautiful bags and great review! Someone had mentioned the goat skin was a magnet to dust particle/lint etc outside the bag. Do you find that compared to the lambskin? Thank you!

Very well said! I think the pochette Métis is a good comparison. It is probably the reason why both bags didn’t workout for me just from a lifestyle perspective. But nevertheless this is a great reference do those who are looking to decide. Congratulations on both! And of course you found the turquoise!😁🥰

fashion junky Yes, loving my 19 in maxi, planning to use it as a work bag (or at least when I get back to it 😁). The shorter strap is also my preference because I wanted a shoulder bag out of this design and not a crossbody. I do have to say that my needs are very specific, and the size you have is the perfect, and rightfully more desirable size for a reason. It’s just so beautiful and you just wanna carry it everyday.🥰 I’m taking a break from IG and will be back this summer hopefully. I’m glad I still get to see your videos here! Brings me so much joy.😊

Thanks for the video! Is there a way to make the strap shorter so that people 5’2” or shorter can nicely wear as a crossbody? I know the Chanel classic flap can shorter strap by locking the straps inside the flap, but the Chanel 19 strap does not go inside the flap
Do you find that the quilts on the goat skin are flatter than the lamb?

I love this bag in this size but I don't think it's quite large enough me for as an everyday bag. I currently own a similarly shaped bag by Leatherology and the dimensions are 11.75 x 7 x 3.2. And I can just barely fit everything in here.
I love this bag, it’s the first ever Chanel bag that is comfy to carry like a crossbody 💙💙🙌🏻 but to me, it is more an autumn/winter kinda bag. I don’t feel like it an all year around style. The big CC with the leather entwined to it, the huge squares and chains... those elements screams winter chalet. Plus it looks really cozy and “warm”. Like you could sweat with this on in summer.But this is just my opinion 😉 overall a beautiful bag
I think the lambskin looks like less wrinkling, not sure if that’s true? Goatskin like easier to be wrinkly

Hello, very helpful and informative video. Debating between a new goatskin on resell market or waiting for lambskin in 21c. Curious what your thoughts are now of the two leathers and how bags have worn since this video... If you could only have one and it was in black, would you get goatskin or lambskin. Would love your opinion. 💕
I would get goatskin...it is a little more durable and worry-free. Both are beautiful though!!

As I’ve mentioned before I am seriously contemplating this bag but one of the things I am really wondering about is which size, as I am taller than yourself at 5’9 would you recommend the size up or do you think that size would still work? I don’t particularly like big bags and find my jumbo too large to handle plus the weight issues on my shoulders is another problem but I know that it being slouchier than the jumbo it would sit a lot nicer on the body 🤷🏼♀️ Sorry to ask, it’s just so hard when you can’t see them in person. I think the small size would work on you, the only thing I would worry about is strap drop. Do you have bags that are a similar strap drop to the 19? I'm not sure what the strap drop is on the next size up. The small isn't that small so I think it would work on a variety of heights. Unfortunately I've never seen the next size up in person but am hoping to when stores open again! xoxo

have you encountered the issue that when you stuff the bag full it SAGS? it looks perfect when there's nothing inside but when I put things in it the two sides sags in and its kinda ugly that way ..... such a pity
No, that hasn't happened at all with mine. An organizer would easily solve that problem though :)
