Great input. My issue with Invicta isn't the watch but the marketing strategy. I don't like how they are always marked down with huge discounts, from $800 to $90, just to sucker unknowing buyers. I have a friend who's wife bought him an Invicta over a Seiko because she thought she was getting a great deal. I don't care if it's watches, cars, or apples, I don't respect this strategy.

cheezy??? I totally disagree... Great quality watches and you have to be into different designs to be apart of the Invicta family. I currently own 12 and I couldn't be more happy with my investments.

All I can say is if people need to quit having unrealistic expectations on a watch brand that sells at a price point that is much better than the others and it doesn't matter if they use sticker shock techniques in sales because you guys are just whining to be whining about their sales tactics when this is a similar tactic and sales it's been done for years and years and not just with the watch game, but with reduced msrps of vehicle sales through the manufacturer rebates and various other ways of doing similar things with in different ecosystems. They actually have quite an effective business model and people need to remember that we are victims of what is being born into a society that Foster's fellure in much too many ways as well as giving us the ability to be of a pessimistic nature more than having an Outlook or approach of extracting the positive aspects first before we do the negative. More then what they have to or what they've agreed to do by way of contracting business in different countries and abiding by their laws rules and regulations pertaining to operating as a business with in that particular country and offering warranty and doing so in a way that meets those guidelines while providing a quality product that may not be premium shelf, but it gets the job done and it's recognizable and it does so in a respectable manner. Just don't be fucking stupid and buy your watches at a less reputable place. Be smart and buy it at a Sam's Club or whatever it has an awesome return policy as well as understanding that there are such things as warranties and you can get that taken care of worst case scenario. Do not expect and just go back and buy another one because they're cost-effective options that many people have had for at least 10 years and counting. They have a wide variety of options at a price point is very clever and indeed creates a name for themselves as a lot of people end up with Invicta being a Segway to there continued involvement in the watch game. It's a brilliant business model that has a watch history and that gives pops of quality by way of such simple things as adding color to the internal counterweight or the signature as well as the date designation for the birth of Invicta in 1835 and so on and so on. They make sure that it's a part of what is known to enhance that experience and create that ecosystem or culture around their brand that some watches aren't doing so don't hate on Invicta for being of what worse. There to the watch industry like T-Mobile was and still is to the mobile phone industry as well as being able to compare them to Kia and Hyundai. Why would I compare them to Kia and Hyundai? Easy! Kia and Hyundai dealerships work more off of volume and the bonuses that they received for the manufacturer of the acid or residuals or money's coming from selling third party shit to you when you're in the office at the end of your car buying experience signing all the paperwork. It is what it is and Hyundai and Kia by Deep, will give you much much more money to make sure the deal gets done when it comes to your trade and they will often times come off of the MSRP quite a bit on the vehicle being purchased as their whole game as volume and getting their vehicles on the road to enhance brand recognition and being able to turn instead of having Ace tell ecosystem because that brings continued business even if it's not a hellacious profit every time. They're different business models and some companies make a little by turning out a lot which makes him a lot over time and then other companies make all their money right up front. the light bulb that breaks the quickest cost the least and the one such as an LED bulb is the one that lasts longest and cost the most. Invicta creates watches that are bold and of a respectable build but there is a realistic understanding or acceptance of them giving you that value upfront for that lower price point that is a trade-off so don't expect to get big first class reclining seats, free alcohol, free meals, free movies and in-flight entertainment and lounges at the airport when you paid $49 for domestic nonstop flight on Spirit Airlines. Let's start being more realistic people. Sent mean that there are bad company? Hell no! Spirit Airlines, for example, gives a lot of people that would not otherwise be able to afford air travel or that have never experienced or travel because of how much it cost the ability to experience it because they, in a lot of ways, are cheaper than even a bus ticket sometimes so let's be more positive instead of so damn negative First and understand that there a lot of positive aspects and quit faulting them for an unrealistic expectation and for something that many many other companies do and have been doing for a long time. They know how to be a peeling in to create the sense of value and a good deal which is basically what a Kohl's does or any other store or manufacturer that's always got a damn sale or a bunch of clearance items. Things are marked up than the take 30 to 50 damn percent off of it. At least they're giving you something that has notable and respectable components that are of quality enough to greatly justify the price because there are plenty of crap Armitron watches at Walmart that you can get from 50 to $100 that can't even compare to an Invicta and yet they've been in business for a long time and people will buy those and yes the $80 Invicta watch or an Invicta watch similar to the price point of the low-to-mid tier watches is worth complaining about because they said that it was so much more expensive and yet it's really not when it comes down to it because they're taking something like 50 to 70% off of the price!? sounds like people need to take more responsibility for their dumbass Dennis and lack of knowledge and quit complaining about something that was totally their stupidity for thinking that they were getting a good deal because they're always make it seem like those watches are oh so expensive and they're on sale, but they're always on sale and at these lower price points so get a clue and quit living under a rock people and come out and actually pay attention sometimes instead of being stuck in your fucking electronic devices

But, is anybody really "suckered"? If someone buys an Invicta 8926 for $80, they still have an incredible value watch, even if the MSRP is fanciful.

I've always wore a G shock, but Invicta is what sparked my curiosity of "nicer" watches. I recently picked up the automatic submariner copy from Amazon for about $85, and I really like it (didn't realize it was a copy at the time). Now I'm researching different brands which ultimately led me to your channel.

      Enjoy your watch Alex.
Myself, if that's the money I had to spend I would probably buy a parnis. For the same price as an entry level invicta sub homage you'd gain 28,800 vph sweep, an *alleged* sapphire crystal and a ceramic bezel.
Invicta may have legendary poor customer service, although I don't know if their QC is as bad as you'd get with a parnis. But for me the ceramic bezel and smooth sweep would be worth the chance.

I am in the same positon as you, and when you get to buy a Submariner, people will be "tricked" by the invicta. When you wear the sub, people will think it's still the invicta. You don't have to be afraid of the reactions or way people will look at you. This is something I am afraid of when I get to be in that position, the skx doesn't resemble a two tone sub sadly. The skx however is one of my best purchases. I play with the price a little, for every $/£/€ I spent, it is one day of wearing the watch... do that with a sub, and you'll be going for 20 years and more... still figuring out how that will work...

I have a lot of watches. I don't care about price. If I love a Timex, I buy it. If I love a watch that is 2 to 3 thousand dollars, I buy it. I have 1 Invicta. A plain Lupah chronograph. It's quartz and was about 100 dollars. I love the design and it is very well built. It looks great with a t-shirt or a sport coat and jeans. It's a great watch. Yesterday I wore a Timex Expedition on an olive nato strap. Today I'm wearing my Seiko Turtle Pepsi. If you love a watch, buy it. If a watch makes you happy, buy it. Don't let anybody tell you what not to buy. I don't buy fashion watches. I'd rather spend the money on a Seiko or a G Shock. I know they will hold up and the quality is outstanding. If fashion watches make you happy, buy them. I know multi millionaires who drive Toyota minivans and Camrys. They could afford almost any vehicle they want. Are they wrong for that? Are they ignorant for buying Toyota's? No. That's what they wanted. They're not into six figure cars. They want something that's reliable and well made. I see no fault in that at all. Do what makes you happy. You don't need a Rolex to have an amazing watch. There are a ton of options. Buy what you love!

I've been collecting Invicta Watches for 20 years. My first Invicta still runs and keeps perfect time. To me, that's all you need to know about their watches. Yes, I like a 47mm to 50mm watch on my wrist, but I know that's not for everybody. But their attention to detail (imho) and quality for the money is unsurpassed. And just for people who might not know, the highly regarded Glycine & Technomarine watches are both made by Invicta.

I bought an invicta bc I got a great deal during to covid crisis. I had super low expectations, but I have to say I was blown away each time one of my three invictas arrived. These are actually well built and very attractive time pieces. I own some Bulova’s, Mavodo’s, ext. I have to say, these watches are sharper and better quality than big name brands that I’ve spend many hundreds or thousands of dollars for. I agree the huge watches are ridiculous, not my style either, but some of the smaller sizes are immaculate

I will never forget my first watch. My father, who I had a privilege of seeing once a year, took me shopping at a mall. We walked past a watch store and I really wanted an all black watch that we couldn’t afford (it was a Rolex). When we walk into hugo boss, I see a $500 watch, point it out, and my dad buys it for me on the spot. Of course, if I had a time travel machine I would’ve bought an “actual” watch with that money, but then again, if I hadn’t gotten that watch, I wouldn’t be into watch collecting today.

You laugh, but I've seen countless posts on watch forums saying that Invicta's almost always get the most compliments. They're shiny, loud, big, and bold. They get the attention of others and appear to look fancy to someone that doesn't know better. I'm sure you could wear a Speedmaster for a week and not have a single person notice, while I'm almost certain someone will mention an Invicta. So people really do love to look at them, but not a major watch enthusiast.

While it's true that Invicta watches are less expensive, it's still a quality item for the price point and the consumer base. Several individual such as I have yet to acquire the profit reasonable enough to confidently purchase any Seamaster or any Submariner, which $1,000. It's not logical for a person with small amount of money, to purchase a watch that is extremely expensive.
Invicta is certainly one of the "gateway" watch brands due to it's lower price and it's enjoyable enough to inspire a collection. I am only joining the watch collection business and I'm more focusing on affordable options before I could purchase something fancier. Buying cheaper watches is not a mistake at all...

Very spot-on remark on the discussion of cheap or affordable watches, sir. For me, I think of watches as not only the indicators of the flowing time but also as the preservers of past time as well. Whenever I throw myself at the next watch, regardless of brands, quality or price, the only important thing I consider at the end of the day is what kinds of fond memories, experiences and mental values I would embed in it. If a watch help me be reminded of a moment of my youth, my struggle or my spontaneousness , that watch is already a treasure to me.

So true about fashion watches. The first watch I bought myself was a Fossil chronograph at the mall. I couldn't stop playing with it. After some further research into watches, I ended up returning the Fossil and buying an SKX007. That's how it started for me. I wouldn't have found Seiko, had it not been for Fossil.

Most objections seem to break down to this.
    1. Some models are garish or too big.
    2. Their retail prices are ridiculous, ten times selling price.
    3. Their homage watches should be better quality and should cost more.
    4. They're not the same Invicta as they used to be.
    5. Their ads show famous people wearing their watches.
No one seems to say that their $75 watch isn't worth $75.

And a blue face with the blue and red bevel, again, NATO strap. Though I’m pretty much set with a brown leather band with white stitching on that one. Solid stainless bracelet, sturdy bezel with little to no play, durable stainless steel on the case, and a Seiko NH25/35 or a Miyota automatic for under a $100? And even cheaper for a quartz. You just cant go wrong at this price point for a diver. It definitely is a great everyday watch and a good introductory timepiece.

At that time, money was limited, and I promised myself that I would not purchase a watch that was more than $1000. I chose Invictas that you simply couldn't find today. Fast-forward 13 years, now I am able to purchase my first $1000+ watch. The highest I will ever go is around $5000. Love the jacket! I own a real life G.I. Marathon Navigator, issued to me in 1990 by the USAF, in the run-up to Desert Shield/Desert Storm. It's all metal, and I wear it frequently. I have it on a NATO strap right now, blue, white and silver for my college colors. Favorite features are the GMT bezel, which I use in my flying job, and the hack function. I set it by the GPS in the airplane. I love the aesthetic of the watch, the size of it and the function. And I love wearing it knowing it was issued to me during my twenty-plus years of USAF service. As to your question about price, I have several vintage watches -- two 218 Accutrons, two Seiko Bell-Matics, a 1948 Hamilton Milton, an original Swiss Army watch -- and I love wearing them partly because I know nobody else I come across during my day is going to be wearing the same thing. That's part of the fun for me. I've invested hundreds in each of these old watches, and that's part of the fun too -- keeping something that's old, but beautifully made, running and in use! That said, I will gladly pay $400.00 for one of the new JDM Seikos, and someday I'd love to own a Speedmaster -- I grew up in the wake of the Apollo missions, and wearing a moon watch would be just too cool. But the sweet spot for me is in the $300 to $600 range, because that's what competes with restoring an interesting vintage watch.

my opinion is that the "dangerous" price range is €300 to €1300. Below, a lot of enjoyable Swatches & Seikos that will not break the bank, and above, good brands, such as ORIS, Longines, Nomos are within reach for the careful ones. In between is the risky territory of micro-brands, crowd-funding project of the week, fashion brands that do not come cheap and will not bring long lasting satisfaction to the owner

He won't jump on a hate Train or a fanboy Train. Instead, he gets one himself to stick to his philosophy of not judging unless having tried in flesh.
Also I really fell in love with the design of many Grand Divers 1. The Hands are not the typical Rolex Sub Hands, the bezel isn't either. And I love the little diver's helmet on the dial. It has something really vintage to it.Yes, they are quite loud and...oh gosh, 47mm so large...but if Invicta comes up with a slightly smaller Grand Diver and slightly more understated Color combinations, I'll pull the Trigger faster than Lucky Luke.

Omega made affordable watches up until the turn of the century. Then after Swatch bought them out, they jacked up the prices several fold without upgrading the quality or technology. Which millennial in their right mind would buy a Speedmaster for old farts for US$4k (which costs around US$200 to make) and is far inferior to Seikos and Citizens at a fraction of the price

I think invicta just bought the name and has nothing to do with the older company. Looking forward for your review!

First off, great jacket. Secondly, I very had several Invictas and they are pretty good for the money as long as you pay the going price and not the sticker price. They have a style for everyone and are great starter watches.

Love the stone island badge in the background. I always remove them from the garment before washing😂

I have bought a few invictas in my day just for the ease of getting into modding and watchmaking. the NH35/36 movement has a huge following for the watchman who wants to dive into making his own watch. It is a really cool subculture and there are tons of people with loads of ideas that can build off of one another. I just bought a few parts off of eBay recently and have a lot of fun changing hands and dials with the ease of having a proven and reliable case and housing without betting on a case from eBay without shelling out 50 bucks or so on one.

Ditto. My Invicta got me into repairing. Not too difficult and very satisfying.
