Hey there. Good Sunday. Thanks for the update. Obs: Roberlo has a great fiberglass polyester filler that is appropriate for that amount of filling.
Someone else said something similar. I'm going to watch it closely, but it's about on the edge of what I've done previously without fail. I have one hip on the Cutlass that was just way off and I had to sculpt it out of filler. It took me a week, but it's built up thicker than this and has held up now for 7 years.

I am working on my 1955 210 hard top like the tips wen u are reddi to in stall trunk weather strip place on drip rail frist and glue top to trunk lid for alignment

Will do! That would take some getting used to, telling people that it's a "Japanese" red! But I do it with the Cutlass all the time. The convertible top vinyl is "Ford White!"

Guess you have to do what you have to do ... too bad you can't find another hood ... in the big skeem of things it probibly won't matter as long as it holds on ... gotta hate that hot weather ...
If we had a source for tri-five stuff around here, I would have made an attempt. It's got problems beyond what I've dealt with already, but it'll end up working. Just got to dig in to make it right.

Fiber glass filler wood have ben better for that job less chance cracking and shrinking look ing
