@@knittykatstudio Snagged it for $20 and a nice carry bag for another $5. Looks like everything needed was there in the accessory box. The real challenge will be resisting the White 499 for $25 that was sitting next to it. First things first. That will be another mission for another day. Still reveling in this victory. ;-)
@@robertslugg8361 Nice!!! Just a warning...sewing machines are soooo addicting! 🤣 But, it sure sounds like you scored. Keep me updated because I love to hear about thrifted machines. I picked up a Brother for $5 a while back. It's spool holder is encased on the front left side. I've yet to try it out. May need to do another video on that one. Enjoy your sewing machine! Happy New Year 😃
I don't need any more machines but I do just LOVE sewing machines and will watch videos the way a soap opera addict does. Thanks for sharing. (If I find a sewing machine for $10 it's coming home with me!)
Got mine from a thrift store for $10. It was new and still in the sealed box. I LOVE IT, and it's my go to machine. I do everything from potholders to quilting.
I bought mine new for $38 @ Target. It's my FAVORITE to sew on. Easy, lightweight and strong. I also have 3 Featherweights and a $10K Bernina this lil Brother is ALWAYS my go to!
That's great! I also have my favorites that I use more than others. I've just picked up a Singer 201 and a Singer 66. I'm in love! Thanks for your comment . Happy sewing!!
Hi Monica! Thanks so much for watching my video. I'm sorry you're having problems with your machine. Is your tension too loose? Sometimes it will make the thread look like a bird's nest and the stitches will not hold the fabric seam together if the tension is too loose. I would suggest putting in a new needle, thread, and adjust your tension and see if it helps. Sometimes a dull needle can add to the problem too. I hope this helps you. 🙂
The stitch length dial was between 2.5 and 3 I think. I kind of just work with my tension and stitch length until it looks the way I want it. Sometimes adjusting them can be a little testy . Practice on scraps before starting your project. Thanks for watching!
Lovely demonstration ❤
@@jeletalewis2524 Thanks so much for watching, and for your kind comment 😊
Going to look at this at local thrift for $20. Thanks for the info on how these work.

You're so welcome! I hope you decide to get your machine out and give it a try.
Definitely worth it. Tension adjustment and possibly issues with bobbin tension.

I feel like mine pulls the material to the side but it must be just me cuz I sewed a patchwork quilt and everything lined up!
@@MelanieFromCanada Yep! As long as it all lined up, it sounds like a good little machine! Thanks for watching, and happy sewing 😃
Hello! I love your video, thank a lot for share. I bought the same machine but I have a problem, the bottom thread is not sewn and is bulky 😔

Your tension is off. Make sure you thread it around the hook.
What a steal!!!
I agree. Thanks for watching!
What are the two dials on top of the machine set? I have the same machine
