    This dud changed my playing big time. So glad my kids are interested in music and guitar, this guy will hopefully influence them as much as he did me. And always a gentleman!

    Tommy, I"m elated I discovered you. You are an absolute treasure of a person and guitar wizard. (despite not knowing you) I love your light hearted humorous style, you are so down to earth and refreshing.
    I cannot accolade you enough. You make learning about music so enjoyable, positive and possible even. My love for guitar couldn't be better because of you. Play on and keep opening those doors. You rock and groove to the music beautifully in perfect tone, timbre and time. WOW is all I can say. You put a smile on my face my man.

    I met Eddie Pennington at an informal jam session, along with Royce Morgan, at a friend’s house in Kentucky. He’s right about Eddie. Eddie’s son, Alonso, is also very good. Royce Morgan plays a different style, but is also outstanding. Eddie and Royce talked about Mose Rager and Merle Travis in such a way that I gathered they knew them personally. Tommy Emmanuel is awesome as a player, but also because he genuinely loves to share his knowledge.

    I’ve found that if you pull it to flatten it that it will go sharp again as the tension moves toward equilibrium. I have found that you need to tune down and then up to get right and stay right. But who am I?! I can’t play as well but this is my experience.

      Only Americans pronounce T at the beginning of tune. No other English speakers do - the standard is from the original speakers. American pronunciation is bastardised from the German, French, Italian etc immigrants to the USA who couldn't pronounced English properly and fed their mistakes back into the vernacular. In some English words, especially those followed by an Uoo sounds its pronounced Tch not Ch and not Tee.

      So?

    • @alexanderbrown4250
      @alexanderbrown4250 4 роки тому

      @@kickpublishing Wrong! Modern American English pronunciation is much closer to 17th Century British pronunciation than modern British pronunciation. Language is constantly evolving. When a group of people brings their language to a new land, they tend to preserve its pronunciation, while it evolves and changes in its native land.

    I love how among those legal battles on who "inspired" who in what tune Tommy come out and just blatantly say they are all petty thieves because that's how music works.

      I knew the late Ike Everly, and he told me that he and Mose Rager learned the thumb picking rhythm from a man named Arnold Schultz who "was sort of a dark complected fellow."
