I’m young and I do believe what you say sometimes other people don’t understand and I love all about planes and helicopters and I’m a kind of a history nerd. I’m 10 years old and I appreciate your response.
Over here in germany we have CH-53s as well in service. As a child i have seen many of them fly over my Hometown, was in awe about those huge Copters. Now, with 45 years age, they returned to my hometown and are seen back in the air after nearly 25 years of absence ... i love it.
I have an hero .... This man .... Why ? He is 74 years old and many young people are giving respect to him .... Is not an ordinary old man , he jumped from the bottom of the web in the life of those kids playing games they play , but better , bringing his world in the new world , he is a huge bridge for the generations .... His passion for videgames make him part of new generations and the most incredible thing is they understand his world now and show respect ❤
Thank you for your service. I just finished basic and tech school for the air force. I will be maintaining rescue helicopters and I am so grateful for others like you who maintain their love of these craft and teach me so much.
I’ve been seeing Ospreys coming to the airport by my house recently. I always enjoy watching them come in. I get excited like a kid in a candy store. Haha It’s great that you were able to board that ship and video your experience for so many others to see and enjoy! While I did not personally serve, both my grandfathers did. I have great respect for our service men & women. Thank You for your service and the awesome video!
I've seen a few of your clips, and decided to stop by your channel, and came across your tour. Thank you for your service, Yut! Yut! Wow, that brought back some memories. Former combat camera, and I was stationed on the Ol Dirty Nickel. Member berries for days. Let's see if anyone reads this that was on the Bataan during "Swine '09" and also the Haitian humanitarian mission after the earthquake in 2010. Some of the official photos I took are still available on the web. Shouts out to the Bataan Crew, 22d MEU, 3/2 Marines, CLB 22 and VMM-263. Semper Fi
Woah. They named a ship after a Philippine municipality? The site of the Death March? What an honor. Thank you for your service and acknowledging our part in World War 2 as well.
@@DibIrken They named their LHD ships after famous battles iirc. I don't really remember or know the naming convention for USN ships. But as far as I know, this was named for the Battle of Bataan, where US soldiers fought side by side with Filipino volunteers and conscript from December 8 1941- April 9 1942.
It's awesome to see everyone show you the respect you've earned, I know I'm not the only one that appreciates all of the information you share and the badass that you are. Thank you sir.
Man. I took the Bataan to the Middle East and to Haiti in 2009-2010. Marine Corps 2006-2012. I was involved in Testing the Osprey on the Bataan, Ponce, and Fort McHenry. Making sure it wouldn’t melt the flight decks. That was a scary bird to ride in. Much rather be in a 53. Louder, but much more safe feeling.
you are a superstar, look at you, what a great live, beautiful wife, a real VETeran almost 1 Mil subscribers on YT and speaking and interviewing the commanders, im very happy for you sir, tx for your service
My father worked in the American Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbour, I was born in Honolulu Hawaii, obviously not during the second world war lmao. My grandfather was stationed there as well, however, he was a recon on a plane. He did fly over 'nam and did a few missions, he would often regale me with stories of shit he saw there. Thank you for your service, thank you for making me smile when you take out noobs and thank you for sharing your content, it makes me happy.
I was attached to this absolute relentless gator, for the opening stages of the war on terror, under then Capt. M. ''Mallard'' Allard, in Afghanistan, and we brought the war to the enemy, under top notch ''Sierra Hotel,'' leadership, and relentless warrior spirit, collectively. My first born, was born whilst serving attached this ship, and Mallard, ran bombing runs throughout the night, in that sons name, and in the name of God. Some of the hardest men, and women, I have ever had the fortune to know, and serve with.
Thank you so much for the taste. I know there's more, but that's not for me to pry about. Thank you for your service, and semper fidelis. I dropped and broke my phone when I saw this. In the best of ways. Preciate ya big bro, cuz etc
While I was never in the military, I grew up an Army brat. My dad joined up when the Vietnam War was coming to an end. He was stationed at Fort Lee Virginia going through ordinance training. He worked with Agent Orange which later after he retired contributed to him getting diabetes. He's a tough guy, went through 2 tours during Desert Storm/Shield. I've always had high respect for the military, though I'll never get over hearing taps being played over the loud speakers on base.
Named after the Bataan peninsula, on Luzon island, Philippine Islands, the scene of heroic resistance by American and Filipino defenders against an overwhelming Japanese invading force during the initial phase of America's participation in World War II. Greetings from Philippines Thank you for your Service!
Have you ever tried to play a game called Arma 3 or Day-Z? I feel like those are the type of games that you can really test your sniping skills in a game.
9 Years ago I was graduating from IT college and tgey offered us a military/ marine registration service with a chance to visit one of these sites.. thx grandpa for sharing
FANTASTIC video, for those of who never served but wish sometimes I had (now 45yrs), I am still interested in what our men and women do for us in the armed service. BAD ASS video! LOVE those birds! Especially those with ROCKETS! Heehee!

I think that you make retired military look good, not everyone adjusts as well as you though. Any tips for someone who might be retiring from active duty?
Great to see you show love to an under appreciated bird (53) but always love the 22s. I loved being on a gator freighter especially watching flight op from vultures row. Thank you for your service from one squid to another. Did a deployment on the Boxer 7th/5th fleet. But I was a window licker lol 😂 “if it ain’t leaking don’t fly in it.”
Sir I was born deaf and I tried at 18 to join the military I understand the whispering affect in warfare but I could do mechanics a desk job that was not combat related why is there no avenue for partially disabled people to join?
I'd be more interested in checking the ship out, I hope to never have to fly in any copters. To me they are the most dangerous vehicles ever invented, this includes the Osprey... appreciate the lesson though. We have the USS Slater parked down in the Port of Albany NY, after seeing this, I'm definitely going to take a tour before the seasons over... curiosity is peaked, I pass it every day on the way to work so it's time.
14 year Marine still active. Spent lots of time on 53s and 22.did a float with the USS BHR, and 3 deployments to the Middle East. Also I moved to Hawaii from FMF Lant a year ago and worked with admiral caudel in Norfolk
As an educator, I appreciate what you are doing here. Our youth don't always understand what your service means; and they are listening to you. :D
