    You never seem very gentle with the sleeves considering your comments on condition.

      I am... the sleeves are always handled with care. The kind of damage I'm talking about is neglectful damage where the jackets haven't been kept in a protective sleeve so they've got edge wear, my sleeves never get seam splits or ring wear as the records are never kept in the sleeves once I've acquired them. New and used records immediately get removed from the jacket, and inner sleeves are placed in archival sleeves. The jackets stored in resealable Japanese outer sleeves with records on the outside of the jacket within the resealable sleeve. The way I handle the sleeves wouldn't cause the kind of damage I talk about.
