- Crayons on fabric technique: Crayons are an inexpensive, easy to aquire, and beautiful art tool for all ages. When we think of crayons, we tend to think of coloring books and paper, but did you know that you can use crayons on fabric?
With a little bit of work, prepping the fabric, and then heat setting the image you can create images to use in stitching projects. Make a custom patch, or create specifically colored images to use in your sewing projects.
Crayons Drawing: A four-leaf clover is a symbol of luck and I'll show you how to draw one using regular crayons and fabric. You can also draw onto paper, just as easily. The process is about creating many light layers using various greens, yellows, and browns. The resulting image has dimension and depth. I like to use this image to make a slow stitched Textile trading card, which I show at the end of the video.

Thanks! The iron is a adorable! It's a travel steam iron - and it heats up quickly and doesn't take up much room.
I love this! 💚💚💚

Hello Daniela, I hope you are having a good St Patrick's day with your family. I love this use of crayons and enjoy all of these videos over and over as I try to improve my pieces. Santa (my lovely brother William) brought me crayons and sharpener and I am having fun with them and my fabrics in ways I never knew were possible, thanks to your teaching. I pray you are holding your own and being good to yourself please let anyone who is able to help you do so..... I found that difficult to learn maybe I was a control freak or just stuck in the doing and nurturing mode so couldn't see that I needed people to help me I'm now more aware that it's good to allow others the privilege to do sometimes. Instead of feeling guilty that I am a burden or that I should be able to..... I now remind myself that by accepting my own vulnerabilities and letting others help, I am allowing them to feel some comfort and control in situations we all find scare the wits out of us. Love Vera in Northern Ireland ❤
Thank you, Vera. I am so fortunate to have wonderful people who care for me. ❤️❤️❤️

I really like this idea can this be laundered
Depending on the frequency of the washing, it may need to be touched up with additional layers of crayon and ironing....
