Love all these projects Deidre. You’ve shown us some great ideas. Even quite a few that I used to make when I was a lot younger. Thanks for bringing back some deep seated memories that my old brain had forgotten about. There’s quite a few that some of my grandkids and I can do together. Have a great weekend Deidre.
Delightful!! all of them! I made a junk journal from a cereal box n used a gift bag to cover it,in a way that the cord handles of the gift bag could be tied up to keep the journal closed. Wish I could explain better🥹
I love your envelope technique. I used to have some envelope templates that I would use to cut out and fold. I haven't seen it around in years. (Oops!) I don't know why I didn't think of doing it your way but I will definitely do this now. By the way, I no longer give out cards. (It doesn't seem to be done by most people anymore. I used to send over 50 each Christmas but barely anyone does this. Pity. That's due the ridiculous costs of postage that have occurred over the years with Aust.Post). Instead of making or buying a card, I make a flat ornament instead. I use air drying clay to make the shape. Then I either paint or design something for the front of the disc. I write my message and the year on the back. You can use ready-made ceramic discs or get the timber ones, of course. I top it off with a small string of beads and some pretty ribbon.
I've stopped using regular 'gift' bags altogether. When looking for a bag to put a gift in, I now look at something that can be used to carry groceries home. We have to pay for bags in Australia (and they're almost all now made of paper) or bring your own. Before this was introduced, I'd actually given family members a set of reusable (nice ones, not yukky) fabric shopping bags that fold up neatly to carry in your handbag. I've found that these types of bags are now so widely available that their cost compares well to buying a gift bag. For Christmas upcoming, I've bought felt bottle bags since I've made some lighted bottles with designs (from good, glass recycled bottles). So everyone's getting a reusable felt bag; a couple of lanterns; and a bunch of handmade accessories. You can't help what others give you though!
love love love the gift tags & book marks.. have many small bags on hand that were useless until I saw your video. thanks for the inspiration.. you are one clever lady.
2 bags=2 celebration signs. Dble sided bags w/rope or ribbon handles. 1. Keep handles attached for both sides 2. Cut away all paper except front images w/top handles to create two flat signs 3. Thumbtack to hang Thanx for your ideas.
I love all the ideas to reuse gift bags...I have a bunch myself and buy them after Xmas sooo cheap, I can work on these projects all year long ! Thanks!!🌲🌲
I make banners out of them. Cut off the sides. "Outline" all 4 sides with a "frame". I use ribbon. But other matetials will work. I leave the handle on to hang it. You get 2 banners from each bag. I hang on a 3M hook and decorate the workplace festively and inexpensively this way.
Excellent idea's 😃. When you do the packing tape transfer, is there a way to make it not so shiny after? I really like the card and envelopes. Such an inexpensive idea! Thanks
You could try painting a thin layer of matte mod podge over the image, but it may leave paint strokes so I would try it on a scrap image first to see if you like it.
This are wonderful ideas! Im all about recycling!! Your creativity is great! I am a new subscriber and I look forward to watching more of your videos! Thanks for sharing your creativity! Love it! 😊 Gina
Regardless of the kislux bag or any other factors, I ardently hold that without proper expertise, one would fail to distinguish variations in the sack's appearance or metal parts.
This is the kind of stuff I love! Thank you and Happy Holidays🤶
Love the gift card holder idea, they are starting to get pricey!!
Oh I love all these ideas. I always try to reduce, reuse, recycle and upcycle!!

That's a great idea to make an ornament instead of a card!

There’s always too many wine bottle gift bags and not enough small gift bags so I cut the wine gift bag in half to create two small gift bags.
Great ideas. I've also used them for napkin rings and credit card holders. Tina, Al's wife
Thanks for sharing! I'm always looking for new ideas.

Thanks for this video! I have so many gift bags that I need to reuse. Can you tell me what brand the iron is that you were using?
It looks like a Cricut heat press machine. I've seen them around Michael's or Hobby Lobby

Hey... great ideas! Where did you get the brown and red twine? Couldn't find on Amazon so far.
Sometimes a bag will get torn and then thrown out. Never, again!
