We LOVE that movie - Inspirational! And, yes, it reminds me of Ray Bennett, too. Bill Nighy is brilliant. Ray played a few gigs in NJ with some other fellows after Flash broke up, but it just wasn't the same and he scrapped it. He went on to many other projects and put out his first solo CD in 2001. I'll have to let Colin speak for himself - he's on myspace. I know he's been living in the wilds of Oregon for many years with a lady and a horse on 40 acres. It's time to rock again!!
It's time again for Christmas greetings to all from Flash. Ray and Colin have a new CD on the way, and are asking Santa for lots and lots of gigs in 2011. Happy Holidays!
Another year gone, and what have you done? Well, Santa didn't bring that new Flash CD yet, but I have high hopes it's not too far away. I DO believe, I DO believe. (I've actually heard most of it---SUPER!) Another tune being added, and some mastering to finish. SOON! Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!
For those who might need subtitles -- I do!.... "On the first day of Christmas my manager gave to me... A gui--tar without any strings Two months in Poland Three lazy roadies Four canceled gigs Five go--ld records Happy Christmas! everyone! See you in the New Year... P.S. The brilliant Colin Carter told me, when having trouble with the video starting and stopping, shut off the sound, go do something else, then come back and play it again when it's finished loading. Absolutely brilliant!
Merry Christmas back Sherry and Flash....When you get a chance Sherry , I would like to know what Colin was doing for 35 years and what Ray did after the band broke up I did see a Flash performance in New Jersey some time in the 70's. It was a few years past the last album. They had a different singer.Any chance of "In The Can" ever coming out on disc?? Has the band seen the film Still Crazy?? I say this lovingly, Ray looks a little like the lead singer in STRANGE FRUIT Peace and Love!!, Ronnie
@mrlucky777 -- Ha! An E string, or An-y strings. Ray says it's "any strings", but he likes your version better. Thanks for the holiday greetings, and all the best to you and yours, too.
